    Screwed over again

  2. Welcome, StueyNZ! I agree with you... to a certain extent. Sex is just not the focus of stories here. Gabriel Morgan is great at including a touching sex scene in practically every chapter. Comicality, Bill W, Jack Scribe, Melina Catts, and I'm sure there are others, all include a healthy dose of sex in most of their stories. Shadowgod does an excellent job at weaving sex into plot line. The sex scenes are few, but the character development that leads up to them really brings out the steaminess of the scene. Duncan Rider is amazing at producing sensual writing without being explicit. ...and those are just some of the hosted authors! Don't forget about eFiction where you can search by rating.
  3. you're right, Daniel! it's hidden... http://bloodbank.shackoutback.net/
  4. new browser
  5. Actually, it was Steve and Joe, and both of them work, so don't expect anything until late this evening. We still have 11 more hours before 9/9 is over.
  6. posh! the goat's gone. quick... post all the chapters now!
  7. Kevin, I have a task for you... between now and your birthday, I want you to write down all of your accomplishments from the past year. You know what I mean, so don't give me this 'I didn't accomplish anything' crap. Wrap it up in a pretty box and give it to yourself as a present for your birthday. Include some nice new bath stuff if you want, because I want you to read your list ALOUD as you soak in the tub. And don't read it just once. Repeat each item multiple times. And, this is important, NO BUTS! Do not diminish any accomplishment by thinking that it wasn't good enough, so no 'but this' or 'but that' crap. Have fun. Steph
  8. I agree, Old Bob. Plus, just because they are famous, does not make their deaths any more or less important.
  9. CJ, should I read LtMP before I start CLiff?
  10. you're right. Comsie's gonna have to pull a miracle to get Billy out of this mess. although, Billy did this to himself, I think. while Bobby acted out of jealousy, Billy just made bad choices, too. did he really think that yelling at Bobby was going to help? all I can say is he beter not get back together with Bobby! spiteful, little brat. I have a feeling that Billy's gonna be outed soon, though...
  11. is this still pre-party, or did I miss a chapter?
  12. did you actually say "psychobabbletastic" to her? you really are a cutie, Jamie!
  13. Old Bob, it's an analogy to American baseball. So you have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd bases and then home run. I can't believe there's a wikipedia entry for practically everything!
  14. Dion, you don't have to wait! an interview with Dan from 5/08 an interview with Trebs from 2/07
  15. more GFD?!?! wahoo!!
  16. Hey Steven, adding to your signature is similar to creating a post on a thread. I noticed that you already have a signature, so you're halfway there! 1. Click on your username in the top-left-hand corner of the forums. This will show you you're profile. 2. In the middle of the page, you'll see About Me, Edit My Content and your signature. At the bottom of this, click on "Edit My Signature" 3. To add a hyperlink to the signature, first type out the words that you want to be the link... something like, Read My Story! 4. Highlight those words (click and drag the mouse). 5. Click on the 'Insert Link' button under the Font menu above the text box where you type in your post (or signature in this case). I'm not quite sure what the graphic on the link button is supposed to be, but it's green and has a green plus sign. 6. In the box that pops up, paste in the website address that you want to link to, and click OK. 7. Voila! 8. You can use the other controls at the top of the textbox to change the font and color and other such stuff. Hope this helps!
  17. YAY!!! Congratulations, Foxy!
  18. I have a php idea for your next/prev chapter links, but I don't wanna go into it here. for your author sites, you know you can always ask me for help -especially after next week. As for the card... I have a sympathy card that was supposed to be mailed in May. Who the heck has stamps these days?! ecards! ecards are always good. quick and easy, all you need is an email address!
  19. Personally, I hate the jolt when coming back from a description break. ESPECIALLY when in dialogue someone responds to the other person after, like, 3 paragraphs of backstory. Like Graeme said, if it's part of the flow, then it doesn't bother me as much. Although, chapters that are top-heavy in descriptions are difficult for me to start reading.
  20. personally, I think people are always saying used to, but the d is swallowed. that's how it sounds in my head, anyway. seeing "use to" even in dialogue makes me cringe.
  21. ah, I see! where it says "Sun"
  22. cool! hey, james, where's earth in reference to this bar?
  23. depends on whether I want to wallow or not!
  24. My family doesn't really talk about "this sort of thing". One of my mom's cousins is gay, or at least my mom thinks she is, since she's lived with the same woman for more than a couple decades now. The story, as my mom knows it, is that her cousin was set to marry her boyfriend after high school (both she and my mom graduated in '60), but after high school, she called off the wedding and nothing else was ever really said. I don't know how long she and her partner have been together. Whenever I saw/see them, it was with the entire extended family (which is huge; my grandmother had 7 siblings). The family, as a whole, never really shows any PDA, so it wouldn't be obvious. Her partner is divorced with grown kids. The family also has several males who are in their late 30's-early 40's and still unmarried, but that doesn't mean much, really. I'm #$%@ 34 and never been #$%@ married. But two of these guys I've never seen with with a girlfriend... one is in theater (so, if you want to follow the stereotype!) and the other I strongly believe has aspergers (which would tip the scales toward just being social inept). Most of the rest are married, so we'd never know if they're bi or closeted.
  25. you know, I think the petting zoo is getting weirder than the domaholics...
