I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to share this update with us. You've been the Blog guy more recently, so hearing about your personal life reminds me of an earlier time here on GA when you were just regular folk ( and like when you had this crazy notion that Aaron was going to end up with Rory ). Glad to hear that the side effects aren't as bad this time around and will be thinking good thoughts about you.

Being one of the members in chat during the spell you were referring to, I can assure you that there was no hate behind the teasing we were doing to each other. That's what it was... teasing. Some people may not like that flavor of "locker room" banter, but many do. Usually, people are picked on for 'self described issues'. For example, if someone one week says they think they're fat and going on a diet, and the next week talk about getting a 2nd donut. They're going to hear about that 2nd donut. Some of us have gotten to that level of familiarity and comfort BECAUSE we've been there for each other in more serious times. We've dealt with cheating boyfriends, terrible parents, school troubles, financial problems, lost jobs, etc. When it's a serious topic (like even about writing/stories), GA Chat can be a nurturing environment. Save the date for the Summer 2013 GA Get Together that will be held the weekend of July 19-21, 2013 somewhere in the Los Angeles area of Southern California! This one should be special because it's around GA Forum's 10th Birthday! The thought (from those of us discussing this in GA Chat), is there could be multiple activities throughout the weekend that people can participate in. Different groups can go sightseeing during the days, running in the mornings ( ), hanging out at the beach, etc. Saturday evening will be the main get together in a bar/club where people can eat/converse/drink/dance. Details will be forthcoming. FYI...Those in the LA region, it would be awesome if you can step up and help with suggestions or planning for the main event or any of the mini ones. Happy one year anniversary MJ!!!!! Hopefully you'll be here many more years! Some of the keys to long life ( ) here on GA are: - not doing too much (like being a beta, editor, author, volunteering for a lot of committees/tasks, spending a lot of time in GA chat, etc.), so you don't get burned out. - not getting sucked into any drama - not taking anything too personally if anyone teases you too much in GA Chat (hehe, meaning don't let me bother you)

wow, your family "secrets" are like the one's in my family. Everyone always gossips, so "EVERYONE" eventually knows, but we all pretent it's still a secret. Good luck catering to your sister. Consider it practice for when you have a high maintenance BF in the future
