  1. It was fun reading this, I miss Vance. lol, I think he's still in his 20s.
  2. My dog Mina is 1/2 ACD. She's a great runner and jumper. If she's nipping at your ankles, that could be the ACD in her trying to herd you Have fun, he's a cutie!
  3. LOL. Don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge the reviewer his opinion. But if he/she/other rated Desert Dropping a 3.5 (on a 5 scale), then I'd be curious how the reviewer rated other stories here on GA. Personally, I think of Desert Dropping is in the top 10% of stories on GA.
  4. Jase is spelled with an 'S' not a 'C'
  5. If 'Billy' is really concerned about doing the 'Moral' thing, he can become celibate while he is using the resources as provided by his biological mother & father. I would suspect that the parents as you have described wouldn't consider Billy gay unless he acted upon it or performed a same sex act.
  6. Happy 26th Birthday Krista!!!! Don't forget to change your age in your GA profile. You're no longer 24 and in your early 20s. You're in your late 20s .
  7. 2011 turned out to be the 'Year of Fitness' for me. I totaled everything up, and it's actually quite staggering now that it's all there in one place. Gym Workouts - 452 Running Sessions - 332 (for 2,117 miles) Rollerblading Sessions - 64 (for 644 miles) Road Biking - 48 (for 768 miles) --------------------------------- Total - 896 My main goal was running 2000 miles, so I was happy that I surpassed that. I'm going to tone things down a bit for 2012. For running, I plan on reducing my mileage to work on my speed. I also realize that I've neglected my social life, so I'll try to focus more on that instead of fitness. So within the next couple of days, I'll come up with my goals for 2012. Hope you all had a good 2011 and that you accomplished the things you wanted to. Take Care, Vic
  8. That was a really nice start, I'd definitely read more if you pursue it. I also noticed that you're writing style/quality has change(improved - IMHO) over your earlier works. I've notice you're depending less on dialog to lay out the story. Thanks for sharing!
  9. I forgot to bring up a point of 'physical' cheating versus 'mental' cheating. Her husband may not have actually done anything physical, so technically he can 'deny' that he cheated on Gemma. But the fact that he's thinking or fantasizing about it would be an issue for me and one I would want to address.
  10. Happy Birthday Anya!!!! Whoooooo!
  11. Hi Gemma, You received some pretty good advice and Cia did an awesome job of putting into words what I was thinking. Just to reiterate, don't accuse or ask him he's cheating as that might just put him on the defensive. It might be best just to state what you heard and ask him something along the lines if he's attracted to men sexually. It might be easier for him to admit that (if it's true) than to state that he did something physically with another man. I'd be scared too, but I think if you don't address it sooner rather than later, the wondering and worry will eat at you. You'll end up holding these thoughts/questions in and then blowing up or screaming something out in a fight in the future that might not be constructive. If some of your fears about your husband are true, he owes it to all involved to be honest with himself and especially to you. Take Care, Vic
  12. I stopped at 'field strip' and got lost in my imagination

Yay! I hope using Excel to map things out visually wasn't considered cheating.

  15. Lol, I would have asked. You know me too well! I LOVE the green cherries, the more the better. I'm making mini-pumpkin cheesecakes (I posted a photo of them on the gallery), Cranberry/White Chocolate/Macadamia Bars, Mini-Pecan Tartlets, and something chocolately that I haven't figured out yet. Happy Thanksgiving!
  16. Happy Birthday Sharon!!!!! Hope you have a great day (and end up with a glass or two of a nice red). Take care®, Vic
  17. If I were in a position of responsibility, I would start observing/monitoring the person more closely. And I'd certainly be on the lookout for the person interacting with children particularly if he was doing so in facilities under my control(like a locker room).
  18. For me, what separates a good story from a great story is whether I go back and re-read it. Sometimes I want a repeat of the same emotions I felt when I read a particular story, so to guarantee that same experience, I go back to what's tried and true. For example, when I'm in the mood for some good space battles, I'll re-read one of DK's Dreams series. Or if I want a nice boy-meets-boy coming of age romance story, I'll read one of Dom's. I've also made it a tradition to read Dom's Under the Mistletoe around Christmas time. It's a feel good story that's season appropriate. Here's a list of most of the stories I've re-read at least 2 or 3 times: Crosscurrents by Adam Phillips Dreams of Humanity by DKstories Dreams of a Father by DKstories Dessert Dropping by Domluka The Lo(n)g Way by Domluka The Ordinary Us by Domluka Under the Mistletoe by Domluka With Trust by Domluka Human Condition by Jfinn So what stories have you read multiple times? Do you have any 'go to' stories that you fall back on when you want to have a particular literary experience (and I'm not talking about any Nifty-quick fix type stuff ). Take Care, Vic

  20. Glad you had a good time! The last time I was in the Philippines (1995), we were only there for a short time and stayed in Metro Manila for a wedding and family reunion. I really wish I would have been able to get out into the country. I think I pretty much ate vegetarian when I was there because I was distrustfully of what animals and animal parts my cousins would try to sneak into any meat dishes. Congrats on John's coming out and glad to hear the family didn't take it poorly.
  21. Good luck Andy, and enjoy your time on the beach with the family. Sounds like a good setup having 'Grandma' there. 'Mommmm, can you check on the baby, just this one time.' whines Andy at 2am.
  22. What'd you think of the Glee Season 3 Premiere? I was starting to lose interest in Glee towards the end of last season. I'm not sure when exactly the show jumped the shark for me, but it did. Finding out that is no longer on the show just about killed Glee for me.
  23. Funny & useful. Good grammar tips! http://theoatmeal.com/comics/misspelling
  24. I saw three trucks today with Nuts on them. Must be mating season...
