  1. Happy Birthday Sharon!!!!! Hope you have a great day (and end up with a glass or two of a nice red). Take care®, Vic
  2. If I were in a position of responsibility, I would start observing/monitoring the person more closely. And I'd certainly be on the lookout for the person interacting with children particularly if he was doing so in facilities under my control(like a locker room).
  3. For me, what separates a good story from a great story is whether I go back and re-read it. Sometimes I want a repeat of the same emotions I felt when I read a particular story, so to guarantee that same experience, I go back to what's tried and true. For example, when I'm in the mood for some good space battles, I'll re-read one of DK's Dreams series. Or if I want a nice boy-meets-boy coming of age romance story, I'll read one of Dom's. I've also made it a tradition to read Dom's Under the Mistletoe around Christmas time. It's a feel good story that's season appropriate. Here's a list of most of the stories I've re-read at least 2 or 3 times: Crosscurrents by Adam Phillips Dreams of Humanity by DKstories Dreams of a Father by DKstories Dessert Dropping by Domluka The Lo(n)g Way by Domluka The Ordinary Us by Domluka Under the Mistletoe by Domluka With Trust by Domluka Human Condition by Jfinn So what stories have you read multiple times? Do you have any 'go to' stories that you fall back on when you want to have a particular literary experience (and I'm not talking about any Nifty-quick fix type stuff ). Take Care, Vic
  4. I just re-read Dreams of Humanity & Dreams of a Father within the last couple of weeks (probably my 5th read of DoH and 3rd of DoaF). I'm geeked that you're considering starting Dreams of a Son
  5. Another theory... Perhaps Dom is checking GA without logging in, just waiting for a large enough outpouring of our love for him. Once that manifested adoration reaches a certain threshold, he'll make a dramatic entrance?
  6. Domluka's Hosted Author Forum!!!!
  7. Happy 28th birthday Dom, wherever you are! P.S. Come back soon! I'm still worried about where Milo is and wondering why Luke won't let Taylor take care of him.
  8. Glad you had a good time! The last time I was in the Philippines (1995), we were only there for a short time and stayed in Metro Manila for a wedding and family reunion. I really wish I would have been able to get out into the country. I think I pretty much ate vegetarian when I was there because I was distrustfully of what animals and animal parts my cousins would try to sneak into any meat dishes. Congrats on John's coming out and glad to hear the family didn't take it poorly.
  9. Good luck Andy, and enjoy your time on the beach with the family. Sounds like a good setup having 'Grandma' there. 'Mommmm, can you check on the baby, just this one time.' whines Andy at 2am.
  10. What'd you think of the Glee Season 3 Premiere? I was starting to lose interest in Glee towards the end of last season. I'm not sure when exactly the show jumped the shark for me, but it did. Finding out that is no longer on the show just about killed Glee for me.
  11. I broke down and sent a begging/pleading email to Dom a couple days ago just wanting to know if he's okay. I haven't heard back.
  12. Funny & useful. Good grammar tips! http://theoatmeal.com/comics/misspelling
  13. I saw three trucks today with Nuts on them. Must be mating season...

    Gym Crush = Straight

True, he has been a positive influence! I can thank him for that

    Gym Crush = Straight

Lol, I spoke to my gym crush and he wasn't some dumb jock. He was pretty intelligent and nice. He had his Masters in Geo-something and I've seen him come to our college library during his lunch breaks just to go somewhere quiet to read.
  16. If I remember correctly, this thread was originally started in the 'Games & Humor' forum and then got moved to the 'Member Q & A' forum.

    Gym Crush = Straight

Well, that *might* be true, but I'm not waiting around for that 1 in 10,000,000 chance that it could be. It's time to move on.

    Gym Crush = Straight

Actually, I do hope he's happy, he's a nice guy and deserves it.
  19. Oh wow, you're a girlie girl. Nice photo Anya!
  20. You should serve the best, premium milkshake in your yard. You'll get all the boys that way.
  21. Well, I haven't updated in a while. I realized my activity on GA correlates to Domluka's postings, which is pretty sparce. I've realized I'm becoming one of those GA members who kinda moves on, fades away. Not much new going on. Still keeping busy with fitness. Doing 2-3 activities a day. I think I'm an adrenaline/endorphine junkie. But anyway, since I had blogged so much about him in the past, I figured I should bring closure to my stalkee, the 'Gym Crush'. I've been stalking his Facebook for a while now, and today when I checked on him, he had one of those 'Gym Crush is in a relationship with Random Woman' statuses. I have mixed feelings about this. While sad to see, I'm glad to finally know for sure that he's straight. As I suspected, once I found out he was straight, the attraction for him is diminishing as the minutes go by. I haven't been seeing him at the gym lately, so this explains it. Now that he's dating a woman, he's probably on his way to a white picket fence, 2.4 kids, and a gut. I think what's most troubling to me is my Gaydar. I usually think I'm pretty good at picking out gay guys, but I think it only works when I'm not interested in the guy for myself. It seems that the only guys I'm attracted to turn out to be straight. Wait, that doesn't sound right. I'm sure they're born straight. Take Care, Vic
  22. Happy 46th Birthday James! Hope you had a great one!

    Stay

Such an exciting Chapter. I can't wait to find out what happens next!
  24. Even though I've been generally 'out' for a while, I still catch myself in situations where I have to come out to someone. Usually it's a situation where my being gay didn't come out early on and I allowed the friendship to grow without revealing that part of me. Though not as difficult as when I was first coming out to close friends and family, there's still that little feeling of apprehension of how the other person will react to finding out I'm gay. Sometimes I think it would be easier if I had the word 'Gay' tattooed on my forehead. Though there will be ups and downs, do enjoy this time of self-discovery as you become more comfortable with this part of your life.
