  1. I guess the fine print was too small! I was only teasing you! ;-)
  2. What? The next chapter isn’t coming for at least another four weeks? ;-) I just love intentionally misinterpreting things!
  3. I don’t get why Sue i so insistent on inviting Alex and Luke over for her patented brand of (s)mothering. I suppose she got into nursing because she cares about people and wants to take care of them, but it still seems odd. I guess it could be her way of thanking Alex for helping Robbie stay safe… ;-) If only Don would take lessons on acceptance from Amy! ;-) And I can see an ever escalating series of pranks between Nicola and Robbie. Don will be furious about it though, even if they are a fairly normal sibling thing to do. It disrupts the ‘perfect family’ image he’s desperately trying to project – why is he so uptight and worried about what others think?

    Chapter 1

An alternative is to find a site that allows you to post pdf versions of your story. Amazon’s Kindle app (or a Kindle itself) can open those files and you can save bookmarks or your location. There are other apps that can open pdfs and add markups or notes to them (as you might want to do with a business document). Unfortunately, as far as I’m concerned, some authors abuse the capacities of pdfs and do all sorts of fancy formatting that is very distracting (odd fonts and colors or illustrations). While they can usually be overridden or reformatted to simplify the text, that’s wasted effort for everyone. But since a pdf is actually a fancy picture format (rather than a text format), it’s not always possible to adjust them. (Pdfs were originally created so a document would look the same no matter what device was used to view it or print it out. This is very useful for marketing flyers or brochures and instruction manuals, for example.)

    Chapter 10

My predictions: I think Miriam will have the baby and he or she will end up with three daddies. I don’t think Miriam will want to raise a child and she will let Don & Louis adopt the baby. Dougie will want to be a part of the child’s life and the boys will not object. ;-)

    Proof

I’m happy to see you back! ;-) I see a pattern here, they try to acquire new allies even while you introduce them to new enemies! ;-)
  7. The values set for contrast are probably stored with the formatting... Maybe.
  8. Used word... But notepad works for poetry(for me) Stories...I don`t know. If you`re familiar with word, use word. But there`s lots of great freeware out there to experiment with. Also...For android users, try simplenotepad. It works great for me.
  9. When my father took a wrong turn, we always described to as the ‘scenic route.’ ;-)
  10. I don’t know… Why can’t authors figure out that their readers are more important than anything else in their lives? Clearly we should have priority over work, family, or education! ;-) It’s so funny that Adam is so embarrassed by getting caught by Patrick even though it clearly doesn’t bother the kid! ;-) I hope Payne enjoys Patrick’s soup. ;-)

    Chapter 2

I was an outsider too. But I had a few friends who accepted me for who they thought I was. Naturally, I was deep in the Closet in mid-‘70s high school in a conservative Navy town. Only two people from high school ever told me they’d figured out that I was Gay. One was another Gay classmate who told me he thought I was a Closet Case – of course I (very transparently) denied it! The other was a girl who everyone thought I would eventually marry (based on their close-minded, racist bigotry) – and she only told me 4 or 5 years after we graduated high school! In college, the two of them sat around rating guys, but they hadn't hung around together in high school…
  12. What’s a phone book? ;-)
  13. At least with a tailor shop, you could take an infant to work if there were an emergency. You couldn’t do that in a factory! Even two sets of grandparents can’t always be available all the time… ;-)
  14. Will Janet’s father have anything to do with his new grandson? Or is religion too much of a barrier to acknowledging not only a child he did not want, but also a Gay father and his partner? I’m sure he's still grieving his wife’s and Janet’s unfortunate deaths, but will he continue his obstinacy – and possibly even blame the baby for the deaths?
  15. Stepping back, away from the bar was probably the most difficult thing Jake did! Artists (including some writers) are able to express themselves in ways that the rest of us often don’t have an outlet for. And sometimes they unwittingly show aspects of themselves that they didn’t intend. Jake knows Nat well enough to read things into her pottery that most of us would never see. ;-)
  16. Elias is a nice traditional name without being terribly old-fashioned. ;-)

    Chapter 1

It’s not you. It seems to be the way the software is set up. The programmers didn’t think it was important – kind of like the lazy coders who don’t notice when it not only says 0 seconds, 2 seconds, 3 seconds, etc. But also 1 seconds. When I was writing up a database, I made sure that it was as grammatically correct as possible (just a simple IF, THEN). I’m not an author or anything, but I’ve seen a few instances of two chapters being posted within a few minutes of each other. I don’t think they’d let you post 3 or 4 chapters on the same day though. I know one author who was posting chapters daily. And the automatic postdating of chapters seems to be working again.
  18. Same rights? It’s not like he needs to inherit money from Don! I think Robbie should call it off! ;-)
  19. The climate alone would be a shock to the system! From the frozen ‘tundra’ of Canada to the tropical heat of Hawaii! Of course, there’s an odd connection between Eastern Canada and Hawaii: James Cook mapped both area!
  20. What would the advantages be for Robbie if he were adopted? I don’t see a lot of upside for him. I don’t see that there’d be much difference… ;-)

    Chapter 1

I grew up in the ‘70s, but I don’t think I ever read any of the Hardy Boys stories. But I remember the spoof book, the Hardly Boys from the early ‘90s. I do remember a series of Alfred Hitchcock Mysteries – a few books from the series were purchased for me at the then-new to the San Diego area Toy ’R’ Us store. ;-) It took me a while to get through this novel! This has to be one of the longest single ‘chapters’ I’ve ever read on GA. I had to take a few breaks in the middle. ;-) I’d enjoy sequel to the story, but maybe you could split it into sections? ;-)
  22. I think Robbie trusts Walter much more than his father’s friend, the Principal (’the Principal is your friend’).
  23. Why do you hate your friend Sam? He taught you some very useful and interesting words! (I love how easy it is to intentionally misinterpret things in English!) ;-)
  24. @Drew Espinosa Some Kreisler for your afternoon. Magical stuff

    Chapter 1

I was just talking about you with another author! I hope things are getting better in Ronyxworld. I know this is a challenging story to read, but as always very well-written! ;-)
