Whimp!! Low 40s is a nice winter day on my side of the country. I leave the house in the morning with a light sweater. I don't even bother to find my gloves until it gets into the 30s.
I haven't had a cigarette since the middle of July. I've quit before, but this is the longest I've ever lasted. And I smoked for 34 years. I really think this time it will stick. If I can quit, anyone can.

I hit 50 today. I am both depressed and fascinated. Who the hell ever thinks they'll be 50? I'm having a drink, maybe two in honor of myself.
And, you know, I'm not doing too bad for an old broad. But tomorrow I'm going back to 39 and a half.
Grilled cheese with smoked Fontina, thin sliced tomato, Dijon mustard and a good Italian bread.
Although you can't go wrong with fried bologna on toast with yellow mustard.
Or roast chicken with cranberry chutney.
