You are posing so great observations and questions But then you wonder if Trevor was being to trustworthy to Bridget have you notice its the don't trust anybody over 30 issue I hope in spotting bridget being overly pushy that may have tip trevor off to feel here out and be suspicious then you know he has to return to this nature of suspician when joel leaves if only there be some way joel doesn't leave and stay with trevor the whole voyage but then thats not goat logic - he needs to ram his rods into people at a distance and eats all the scap paper he can find its a good question why he wants to get ride atlantis but someone said its to shift the blame on to Dirk and Jim as long as heat is on bridget then the cartel is nervous and will eliminate bridget and george Trevor is just the pawn the next one to be knock off the chess board ... but the bad guys don't know how unkillable Trevor is Even Trevor doesn't know that someone put the game on - invincible main charactor I think many would frond upon killing the main charactor

Sounds like part of the movie "Air Up There" George Clooney Sounds like your describing internal restructuring rather than a merger. The employee's in some manner would have been informed or notice the changes that will occur. Yes, you are put in a difficult position to do a job you are asked to do. Now what happens after this restructuring ... just hope that you still have employment too. You have to anticipate the nature of whats happening the big picture. Being manager now bears all kinds of responsibilities. HR, Budgeting, Meetings, etc. I've been laid off or my position been terminated .. the task I guess was unfortunate ... how they figured out why my job is to be terminated vs a newbie ... I guess its the company that has to re-examine itself but then again so do the employees or the former employees. As you preface the impact of the recession ... its really a bad uncertainty war out there to find a job to be able to survive Here in the usa they say its five people going after a job on average, Well that's really a poor way to describe ... its really 20 to 100 people going after a job. As for the movie ... I think you need to see it and decide for yourself - what the best means can you do or can offer ... at the same time ... doing the difficult task you're asked to do. The only difference is that your task isn't your entire job. There's more to your position I presume and I hope it is. As for the people that were let go ... I guess some were in denial that this restructuring isn't happening ... some knew it would be happening ... some looked forward in collecting unemployment. The recession changes everybody life - even yours as you noticed. Our society in business and gov't shows no compassion nor care in handling the massive layoffs nor showing the real help ... or even assigning people temporary jobs until they can find a permanent job. The reality is that they don't do that. Its become an uncertainty period that destroys people lives. You facing people thinking that they are not expendable - and - they finally realize they are expendable ... some will find a new job and some won't ... its harsh reality. It shakes up everyone. I bid you good luck in the steps and growth in being in management. I just hope its not a dead end job just to perform a task ... you need to reassess your own situation. Be prepared in case maybe your position is eliminated because it wasn't a job but more of an enabler position for the companies restructuring.

Thanks for your reply After reading one of Nephy stories - and corresponding with her. it seems the moral is like you say "what was perceived as the greater good" It may or may not serve justice or society - then again - justice nor society may or may not serve the greater good. We would actually wish society can learn from its mistakes - but - sometimes it does and it doesn't. I do have to agree with Luke in a way - society is more trouble than its worth. Sure as the division between "your life" and the activist life - its quite different. I say the taste of the usa you had ,,, if it didn't made the difference several years ago ... its the same it didn't make the difference forty years ago Society changes slowly ... I guess the USA is way behind ... perhaps Europe is way ahead or even asia is way ahead But as Nephy stress to me and so does Tim - and you - its the luck that you two found each other thats the important thing than if ever society would improve itself. So we'll see in the next 50 years after 2012 if society does improve itself or just remain the same - the haves and the have nots ... the lucky ones that found each other - its "happy for now" (Nephy quote) Cheers

I have read part of it ... but really anything wrapped in politics has loop holes or holes ... some one will always find ways around the system As for the Ryan and Simon - they are young to decide ... but if they are falsely made to decide ... or basically not supported by their parents ... Landon walks ... with or without his father influence. But it be great to see the rich people get their world shaken to see what happens every day in public school. Landon Jr - what Luke thought or said isn't too far off that Landon has a big screw lose in his head ... he won't get sorted ... he'll be a repeat offender. I can't say in 20\20 hinesight that this story carries ... Its only Simon and Ryan that knows they have this incident on their minds ... its them that moved forward in life or have not. Only the author can verify if they have put the past in the past or not. For Simon he took it a bit worst than Ryan since he cracked faster than Ryan ... he stands to be have been damage more than any one could understand. We can hope that therapy was available ... could we hope that the school and the Landons paid for that ... I suppose not ... because thats how our society is ... its too weak to really help people
