I love tulips and they never grow for me - lol - green is the color for envy - it must be the color of your thumb as well.

Sad for you, Myr. Losing someone who's been part of your whole life is like being hit with a permanent black hole - so much stuff you've almost taken for granted is just gone. I hope your sadness can be buffered by the treasures of good memories.

Lol - the spy fly took me by surprise too when it suddenly pushed its way into the story.I'm fairly certain there will be a dolphin encounter - Karmai couldn't help but show off his new charges. Thank you. It's a delight to be able to delight.

This chapter is a bit longer than usual but sometimes the content seems to demand it. I don't particularly plan it that way.The main link to Attunga happens 'real soon' - either ch 12 or 13, I'm not sure which yet (and there's a surprising, but necessary, twist too). I'm delighted to know that the story continues to give you enjoyment.

MPARNTWE Chapter 11. *** Jarra had his rest then went to the Conference hall and spent the remainder of the day listening to Yirgella and watching the Project staff swing from surprise to excitement in a recurring cycle as each major proposal was presented, detailed, and worked through in preparation for its presentation. Apart from a short confirmation note on his InfoPad Jarra didn't hear from Baradin till the next morning when, looking rather tired, he arrived after a rushed trip home fro

Author Promotion Ga's Newest Promising Author: Valkyrie!
Palantir commented on A.J.'s blog entry in Gay Authors Archive
Way to go, Valkyrie! -
You're right. Yirgella has a thirst for independence. The new ComPatches have extraordiary security but very limited range so the InterWeb is the means of contact between Monkey Mia and Mparntwe. Yirgella is very security conscious though so maybe he'll do something to change that. Lol - quite a few of your ideas are right on the mark and I'm not expecting that to change.

I've tried to be very general about Mirri's sounds because I would like readers to imagine the specialness (is that a word?) in their own way.Jarara disappears from the story for a while. Yes, it's started!

Mparntwe Chapter 10. *** Five days later Jarara left Mparntwe and the time had indeed been interesting. Karmai took over the hosting because Jarra's ComPatch project with Yirgella was close to the prototype stage and too exciting and demanding to miss, but for the whole of his visit there was music and laughter as Jarara joined in with everything that was going on. Mirri took it into his head that Jarara had to see the Eagle King for himself and after a great rush of organisation the group,

Oh my! What an adventure. We see dustings of snow on the nearby hills most winters but it's at least 20 years since a fall reached the ground in my town so that amount of snow sounds quite extraordinary. Lol - I had images of a freeze-dried Ron being examined like a fossil in future times. Happy (but not TOO exciting) adventuring tomorrow.
-
Thank you Brian.Yes, something is ahead for Mirri's singing and Yirgella will apply ten percent of his ability to escalating security matters.
-
You're on the mark again. We will soon learn that security is in fact Yirgella's top priority.

Mparntwe Chapter 9. *** "Jarra has to play." "Not now, Mirri. When I finish these specifications for the 3D printer." Mirri laughed and his powerful arms lifted Jarra from his seat and carried him to the big mat. There was no point in protesting and Jarra had to start laughing himself when the irresistible force sat on him and started gently poking him in the stomach. "You great big lump. I'm going to squash you flat and tangle your arms in knots." Mirri laughed even more and tried tanglin

As always the imagery stands out. A bit of nostalgia too as it was my nightly chore at age eleven to hand milk our family cow - lol I never thought of it in erotic terms though

Nonsense! The story I just read has a character who experiences a horror which scars and traumatises his life. The story I just read has a character who expresses the strongest determination to overcome the legacy of that horror. That same character is one of the first to offer advice and help to others. That same character has won the respect of many with the wisdom of his words. That same character has demonstrated such conviction, independence and keenness of mind that the recovery he seeks is practically a given. The story I just read has no hero? - I'll say it again. Nonsense!

Not good! Grief is bad enough by itself without having to cope with disappointment and anger.
-
Thanks ,Brian.Yes, conjecture about AIs is a very broad field indeed as is the nature of intelligence. Lol - I don't know what the Yirgy/Mirri relationship will get up to either. Maybe Mirri's innocent comments will instigate projects even more significant than the ComPatch one. I do know that Yirgella will do whatever he can to look after his 'friend'.
-
Once again you've locked onto an important aspect of the story. The 'getting along' leads to happenings that will dumbfound the Mparntwe Council.Nope! Not Turaku at all. A few more chapters yet before that particular revelation.
-
He's not the first AI. There are quite a number of them in existence at the time of Mirri and Jarra, but he IS the first to have complete independence from government or other control - which makes him unique.

Mparntwe Chapter 8. *** "I am very pleased to meet you, Jarra, and I wish to thank you for starting my project. Durrebar informs me that you are the reason I am here. My name is Yirgella. Welcome to Alkere" Yesterday had been the official time for full initiation of all the processors, databases, and electronics for the AI project and Jarra had missed it because of a maths evaluation he couldn't skip. His disappointment had changed to excitement when he received a message saying everything wa
