Hmm, really good questions. Mirri's singing (it's not really singing) is a vocal expression of excitement, wonder, involvement or any other strong feeling. In this story it is a special gift, inexplicable but a basic tenet.The underground living. - I'm quite remiss with this. I worked it out in my mind ages ago when I structured the world settings for Attunga. I should have expounded about it in the first chapter. I'll work it in somewhere along the way. I planned on a three weekly posting schedule but so far have managed a bit faster than that.

The over two billion hits is what amazed me. That's only just happened this week when the number went beyond the 32 bit integer capability the Yahoo counter system was designed with. It's now been redesigned and can cope with vastly greater numbers.

I've just watched a video clip on you tube called Gangnam Style. It's had over two billion hits, which I find mind boggling. The clip itself was ok but, to me, didn't warrant such incredible interest. What do you think?

They've drawn me in too, Matt. Lol - I spend a major portion of my awake time with them in my mind.I'm not sure how many chapters there will be. At the moment my feeling is about 10 or 12 but anything can happen. Attunga was going to be 3 or 4 chapters and ended up over thirty.

Thanks Nephylim,It's always a delight to hear someone is enjoying a story -with a bit of extra zest when it's a fellow author. Yes, you're exactly right about Jarra. He's a very serious little fellow who does a great job of shouldering the burden of his disability = among other things.

Mparntwe Chapter 2. *** The visitor entrance to Mparntwe was positioned quite close to Jarra's Community and the gently sloping downward ramp was lined with amazing pictures and designs which slowed his progress till he saw Mirri with a large group of people. "Jarra!" The loud cry of recognition sounded and a few seconds later Jarra was hugged and lifted from his feet then hustled towards the smiling gathering. Welcome to Central Australia, Yes, the story has been in process since Attunga concluded but it's not finished and once again I've broken my rule about not posting till I at least have the final rough draft done. I felt my presence on the site as an author was fading because of too long a gap with no new material posted. Hmm! You'll have to wait for any appearances - by my calculation there's only one person with an adequate life span. I'm delighted you've taken to Jarra and Mirri and, yes, they are extraordinarily complemantary in their natures. Karmai (you'll meet him in chapter 2) is very enthusiastic about dolphins but, you're right, there can't be the same interaction.
