Good chapter, flowed well and very well written. That is one think that I don't understand, why doesn't those in charge limit the ones that can rise and chase after a dragon when it is a really young rider. It seems like it would be like raping a child, even if the child wants it in the midst of the mating flight. That is one thing that has always bothered me...

A wonderful chapter, filled with many delights. I am so glad that Cyrus and Kaplan have found each other. I can't wait to maybe see them in New York dealing with issues there; plus, isn't Vincent suppose to visit New York? Love how Mason and Vincent interact and how their wolves interact with them. The thought of Mason going under Vincent caught me really off guard, but sort of hot. I love how Vincent is able to take ideas from so many people and put them into practice with his abilities. But I do think he needs much more practice and needs to integrate his wolf and even the hybrid into this fighting style before going after Stefan. The bald monk is starting to turn up in unexpected places, still haven't decided about him yet. Can't wait to see what you do next with this story.

Really enjoyed this chapter; and Corker was a hoot. I don't think I trust Mr. Lemon, and I would advise the boys to watch out, he might prove to be a sidewinder was well. Trained horses were always in demand in the old west. Glad to see they are thinking and not trying to bite off more than they can chew in getting ready to start this life. A man with a plan succeeds much more often than those that just try to wing everything.

I really wish that D'gar would have completely opened up with Lessa about what he knows. F'drun might not be in the all alone, could be more involved then anyone realizes. Forewarned is forearmed. This is going to upset some; but I think it will be for the best. Some of the old rules need to be back in place. Great job, this chapter just flowed so well.

I would think that the loss of reason and being forced to act only according to instinct would be very hard for someone like Vincent that works to make his life orderly. At least we know that Vincent can access his magic on all of his forms.

I can't believe you did that to us.... I cannot fathom the amount of tension and even anger that these two are feeling. The fear of losing your mate, someone that you were destined to love forever must be impossible to comprehend.

I demand at least another 63 chapters for this story. That is the very least that is acceptable. That being said, On my God was that hot.... The passion and feelings of first true love just leapt off the page. The writing and flow created such a truly magical moment that it was just near perfection. They may have trials and tribulations but this chapter convinced me that they will be together until only death separates them. Bravo...

First thought was that when H'reck is back in the south, that F'drun will try to determine who gets him if his dragon rises. I know that F'drun is being used to keep the story in suspense; but his behavior is starting and continued existence is starting to be more annoyance than plot device. I honestly would have thought F'drun's dragon would have repudiated him, after all, the dragons act for the betterment of all, not their riders... Have to admit that I never thought about how if D'gar takes the new position, the people at Fort might react to him. I do agree that the leaders of Benden are probably to blame for the attitude of the holders and others, they should have been more forceful all along, guess it was hard to do when the time between falls were so long though. Excellent writing and the flow has been really good the last couple of chapters...

Like the very young, Vincent and his wolf tried to do things that they were not ready for; this is what happens when you try to rush blindly ahead. I assume that being in the hybrid state means that neither the wolf or Vincent is in control at the moment. Yikes, we need another update immediately.

Really well written chapter, thought the talk between D'gar and Zalna was very well done, and revealing on several levels as well. I would agree that the fact that riders of the Gold dragons tend to be older than their clutchmates often make it hard for them to have someone to be around and talk to about even mundane things. Excellent addition...

Don't you just hate when a past relationship that went bad for whatever reason comes back and bites you in the ass while you are enjoying a new one... What a wonderful treat to prepare us for what we all hope will be a better year ahead. Poor Granger, having to go down on the Tsarina, and personal hygiene was never a big issue for a large part of the world at that time. That is one reason the perfume industry made so many people wealthy back then. While the Tsarina may question their motives, one wonders how much of what is coming was known to her. She initially tried to seize the thrown from her son but was talked out of it. After her husband's death, she did great things for the a number of societal issues at the time including children's hospitals and orphanages. Truly can't wait to see how this story moves forward.

This seemed so peaceful, even the minor argument did not get out of hand. Like a lull before a storm. A storm that we know is coming. Will Sawyer survive the turning? How will Fergus handle it if he does? How will Fergus handle finding out that Jimmy is more Alpha than he is?

A delightful chapter, so many new sounds, smells, taste, and feelings; Vincent gets them for the 1st time but the others get to relive them through him. Can't wait to see what happens next. And I do think that Stefan is right, the power in the house was clearly Vincent...

I think that D'gar would be great in that position; I do worry some that ever loss would eat at him, but overall I think he has all of the abilities that one would need for it. Plus, if he doesn't take it, no telling who could get it. I hope that nothing happens to S'fyn before D'gar can get with him and find out what he has found out about F'drun. I have no doubt that F'drun would eliminate anyone that he felt was working against him or even just getting information on him. D'gar in that position would also be able to get the two groups to perhaps interact more and get some better integration going on. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see what happens next.

Loved how you described the land and both of their feelings about it while they were digging and checking the different plots out. I think they found the best two for what suits them; now if they can only get them and keep them without too many issues. I think Coy may finally know and respect what he feels in his own heart and mind. I am sure he may have a few issues moving forward, but I think he has truly accepted the feeling that he has for Boone. Now, if only Boone will truly accept that Coy knows what he wants and is will to work toward getting it. Love the descriptive prose used to describe the land, water, air, and game on this piece of God's green earth.

I have trouble believing that one demon is behind the developments in three distinct geographic locations, two maybe, with one taking Yemen and Libya and the other India, but if there is three, will Chris be able to handle that? Even reaching the fourth ascension, does he possess the power and ability to use that much power; while being attacked on three fronts at the same time? So great how those around Chris continue to support him so fully. Even when they counsel caution or a different tack, they acknowledge his right to be part of the discussion and to some extent have one of the final says. Can't wait to see how the demon(s) respond to a 65 layer magnus spell...

A lovely chapter; and the warning was thoughtful. But we all must realize that with any growth some pain is not only possible but probable. I really love how the conversations flow between the individuals and their animal selves. That is so inventive and so well written. Keep up the great work...

Wonderful chapter, can't wait for the full transformation to take place. This chapter just flowed wonderfully. I love all the interplay between the inner and outer orders of the individuals. How the person and their inner animal are able to speak and interact. Rare to find this so well represented in a story of this caliber. Can't wait to see what happens next.

This chapter was truly a delight. Got to Larkspur and were able to meet a few people. One or two, I already sort a like, but like the boys not so sure about the land agent. Much like today, you can't take people at face value, you have to look beneath the surface. Can't wait to see what they find out about the land while they are out exploring...

I honestly never even considered that was what was behind F'drun's attitude. But is actually makes sense. I still like the idea of a volcano fall in while riding over; or perhaps him falling ass first onto a pointed post somewhere and fining out how the green riders feel, or worse having a green rider top him during the mating flight... Great party and anything that gets the older and new riders to mix is a good idea. Maybe stop protecting the holds where people are so horrible, let a few of them burn to the ground a people's attitudes might start changing some..

So hard to see something like that; but at the same time, you need to understand what can happen. Not just the theory or the idea of it but the reality of it.

Excellent start to this story, but still hard for me since we know the future, just a feeling of melancholy even when there really should not be one. Well written and flowed beautifully.
