OMG, I so love this idea of a series. I could actually see it being really well done and brilliant. I am glad that Louis and Charlie are able to talk about things, keeping the lines of communication open are so very important. What are the ages of those involved? I sort of saw Louis, Charlie, and Tom all around 35 to 40ish. Ian more mid 20's. Gus maybe early 40's. Joss mid 40's and PJ maybe late 30's. Tom being protective of Ian doesn't surprise me at all, what did was how Ian reacted about Tom maybe being there when the drawing was done. Could Ian, Tom, and Gus be a future threesome? I really do think the artefact is going to be somewhere totally mundane when it finally shows up.

I was afraid it was going to be something like that; his mother is never going to accept him; she has too much invested it in all being wrong. This play sounds very intense for that age group, honestly surprised that the school would allow it as it. Charlie and Brayden are going to have to make some decisions that they may not be ready for yet.

Will is going to be the new IT... And Jeremy is going to be pissed. But he needs to realize that he dressed him, so he helped create him. I do understand Jeremy on a certain level. I too have a brother that seemingly without trying always is the center of attention, for both good and bad. Will is never going to give up his college for anything like being a model, etc... Have to wonder how paparazzi worthy he turns into...

Ser Graeme and Sam are making good time on the road. I am glad that Sam finally asked and that Ser Graeme showed his face. Glad how well Sam handled it. People can be simply horrible asses.

Jamal, Whip, and Deven have proven themselves again. Jamal understands how precious life is, to take any bothers him, he will need to learn not to let it bother him quite so much. The group nears Highshaw, and the end of this part of the journey, but the important part is still to come.

Like a House of Cards II

OMG, I never realized the depth of Blaise's abuse issues. Did Carolyn sign the paperwork for Alice taking control of Frank and his money? If not, I sure don't want Britney to know there is money involved, she will run pull the plug on Frank and try to seize it. Britney damn sure didn't need another child, but hate that she lost it, someone might have been able to adopt it. Sawyer and Tom, a free man now, came to get Dante and you can tell how emotional Sawyer was, and Tom as well, he was just more restrained. -
Angleo is being overwhelmed. If they can't get him calmed down, there is no way this is going to work. Never fool the gods, just not a smart thing to do. Let's hope all of this works out, although makes me wonder what is so important that so many senior gods/goddesses are off having to handle it.

Louis siege of Dover falters, but not his will. Louis allows pride to cloud his judgement, he continues to bash his men upon the walls of Dover castle. John tries to gather those loyal to him, but even as he does so, he falters, his health begins to give. Kaylen prepares the keep for what will come, no matter who comes, they will be ready. The people give what they can freely, they know that the keep must stand. The land must endure.

Totally understand how and why Sam felt the raw emotions of selling his parents horses. For a while, the strangest and smallest of things will remind him of one or the other or both of them. Time will allow him to get used to it, but will not remove the feelings, only make it that the rawness of it lessens. Sam and Ser Graeme will need time to get used to each other, and the while much has happened since they met, it has truly been only a short time.

Figuring out who and what you are is never easy, but at that age, it can be doubly confusing. Brayden and Charlie are both aware of the dangers, even those from within one's own family, from being different. I wonder when others read the script, just how many will actually want to try out for the role of the Prince and his male companion? Both boys have some great family support, let's hope it stays there and helps in the end.

Lovely little chapter and I think that Joss and PJ would be perfect couple friends for Louis and Charlie. I just love the little glimpses of domestic life, and how both couples function together, not always an easy thing. I can't wait for the artefact to show up, hopefully in the most mundane place possible. -
Ah, so now we know what Septimus is or has become. Jamal, Devon, Whip prove themselves even in small ways. Maybe an eagle will encounter the raven and have it for lunch.

Sorry that you are having to deal with that at work, horrible to deal with on any level. Already planted onion end of February and have some tomato and pepper planted as of today. Have some cucumber ready to be planted but might try that for tomorrow but will probably leave it for next weekend. About twenty percent of my Irises have started to bloom already, for some reason almost all are the purple ones, not sure why. Hoping to get some white and red to bloom for Easter Sunday, but we will just have to see what Mother Nature decides. -
The arrogance of power coupled with the desire for more. The land protects its own, the relic will drive those that seek to use it for the wrong reason mad.

I suspect that Alice is dealing with more than Dante realizes. I don't doubt that she is more than a little upset with Dante, but all of this has come to a head, and she is smack dab in the middle of it all. I have no doubt that Carolyn will do what she can to protect Blaise, wonder if Frank's recent actions pertaining to a certain death will come up? I dislike Blaise so much, that I can't be objective about him. Truly shocked that Valentine was molested by Blaise. -
Glad that Gus seems to get along with the guys at least enough to function in a social situation. I still am not sure about Ian and Gus, but if Ian is as interested as he appears to be, then he needs to at least try. He and Gus may not be compatible, even if both are at least interested, and yes, I think Gus is despite his reluctance. Tom is just too funny at times. Louis and Charlie just seem to inch forward with each chapter, a little more of a connection, a little more intertwined.

And you thought sex and politics was a more modern issue; nope, since the beginning of the first hamlet and the first election of a head man. Now, what could the Prince of Peace want Granger for, a mission? This might prove more than a little interesting, as long as it doesn't delay his return to England. I would have thought that Ines's brother and father would have been a little more circumspect, neither was, this makes me question them on several levels.

Charlie and Brayden are finding themselves in that magical land of first love. Charlie knows that so much of what he will face is going to be determined by how well his mother handles and accepts counseling, we can hope it goes well, but we will see. Discretion is truly the better part of valor, especially in school.

I am glad that Sam was able to say goodbye to those that he grew up with and the ones that watched him grow into a young man. He will be missed by the citizens of this hamlet. Ser Graeme is unfortunately correct about the propensity of mankind. Let's hope this night of farewell is something that Sam remembers fondly for some time to come.

Wonderful chapter can't wait to see how the upcoming party goes. Will and Austin are creating a lot of buzz, and yes, Harvard will use it to their advantage. Gad that Stef decided to go, you know that JP was behind him all the way. And glad that Marie went to cover for Travis getting a little tipsy and a little wild. Jeremy has come out of his shell, to a certain extent. Glad to see that, and glad that he has Kris to make sure he handles it well. Can't wait to see what happens next.

They have moved on from the past, but how strong is the future. Chandar understands and so do those that come to his call. What happens next will be the start of the ending, but for whom?
