Well, Therese comes across rather two faced during this chapter, just another reason that I don't like her. But of course, this was a shock to her and honestly probably to Ralph that he was telling her. Glad that Ralph has Beth in his life as a friend and workmate. Her advice was spot on, at least to me. Morrie is a hoot. Love how out and in your face, he is, good for him. Nolan is adorable, and I am glad that he is understanding, hope this catches fire and they move forward with this all. I still can see Gordon popping up in the most unexpected place and Ralph having to deal a little more directly with his past. Dread meeting the parents.

Well let's start with the part that will annoy everyone, Will is an ass for responding to Claire's email like that. Understand why he did it, but still a no go for me. I am so glad that Will is going to have Marie around and vice versa, they will be there to help each other in all manner of ways. Glad that Matt and Wade are close as well, I hope they can be there for Will and Marie as needed but sometimes nice to just have a place to get away from. Love Eric/Thor, and he handled the reveal better than I expected a step further, I think Eric, Nico, and Scotty will all end up being okay; but Poster, what a douchey sounding nickname, will be the one with issues for one reason or another. Honestly, economics makes sense for Will at least to me. I can't see him doing something like Stef or Brad; but he could use it to run the Foundation or something else in that vein. Marie doing biology is cool, but I could see her going into research or something like that more than I could see her being in a medical practice. But time will tell. Excellent chapter all around; and you just know that birthday party will be a blow out, and I am sure a large Cali contingent will be there...

Well, honestly, I expected Nate to pop up at that moment. Jake is playing with fire. While I think that Danny is probably more mature than most around him would give him credit for; he is way to young to be involved with someone Jake's age. I know there is only a few years difference, and it they were both at other ends of their 20's or even 30's, no one would blink twice, but that is not the case. At least Danny is going to be able to learn a new perspective on some artwork and how to approach it. Can't wait to see what happens next.

So glad that Vaughn and Dante have decided to take this next step, they have discussed for a while now, but glad they are moving forward. Will Dante so be let go, and if so, what will his next job be, but as long as they are together, that is what matters. Don't think that Vaughn would jump at the chance to do it again, but anyone in his profession would have jumped at the chance to try it at least once. Loved that the core little group got an early preview, and their opinions were the ones that really mattered. Will we ever really know about Heyward, I think not. A lot of smoke and mirrors and a few more rumors but nothing concrete. Hate that we are getting close to the end, this has truly been a delight.

OMG, children already? Yikes, have these three lost their minds. LOL I love how Marc is always working to figure out how to make his side hustle with the mining make money. Now trying to figure out how to find another Captain to take the borer out when he can't to keep those credits rolling in. I wonder what this Captain will be like. Well, Dad laid down the law, have to place nice with the idiot that thought he could make a full of Marc. Or at least make sure his family did not get dragged more than they have already. Can't wait to meet Camilla, sounds interesting. Keep them coming...

I love this genre...

Life is good and they have someone they love, what more could you really ever ask for?

That was brilliant on Danny and Nate's part; this gave Jake some cover and might help some of the old fogeys around town be a little bit nicer. So, Danny has never met his biological father, but does he know who he is, or is that unknown? If Brad is the only man that has ever been in his life, how long has he been there, and if he treats him okay, why can't he view him as more of a father figure or is it that he sees him as a father figure, but not a DAD. Nate seems a little more mature in some ways that Danny, but I am not sure that is truly true. Danny seems to let his feelings and thoughts run deep, so to speak. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Really sweet chapter, but Ralph needs to make sure this is what he wants. Nolan seems like a nice bloke and doesn't deserve to be hurt if Ralph can't make a decision. Nolan honestly seems to be in a similar business situation to Ralph, just not quite as far along and in a different vein. Ralph and his group might be able to help them tremendously, just getting them in front of others to make them aware they are out there. The twins are a delight. And talk about out of the mouth of babes... You can't live your life for your parents, your siblings, friends, or even your partner; it has to be your life and what you make of it. Really well done.

Well written story that has characters that quickly grab a hold of you and never let go. The pacing and writing are excellent. The story is hard to read at times because of the subject matter, but in some ways that makes the writing that much better, you want to turn away but truly cannot. If you can be triggered with stories dealing with extreme child abuse this is not for you. The story deals with some extreme situations and how one person finds himself trying to help three children that he discovers he is related to that have suffered horrible abuse. It is how what occurs shapes each of their presents and futures and how that is dealt with. The story is truly worth reading, if you can get past some of the subject matter and how it is presented as very in your face. This is not done for salacious reasons but as a result of scenes in trials and police interviews. @Lee Wilson is a very talented writer, but if you have read his previous stories, you know that he pulls no punches.

Well, tied most of everything up and they lived happily ever after. LOL. I do think these two will always be tied to the sea in one form or another.

Appreciate that really every person that featured significantly in this story got a mention in the epilogue. It was tied up nicely. Kathy, Abel, and Eve all had karma come for them in one form or another. Hate that Greg's choice ended up turning out so badly. He did what at the time made the most sense. All the kids had good lives; Nick did seem to have the roughest going forward but appears to have with the help of counseling a good life. Well done...

Woo Hoo, I knew all the words, maybe the first time that ever happened. Almost hate to admit it because so many have turned on them, but I am still into all the variations from The Walking Dead universe. Only Murders in the Building is still holding my interest, although last season was a little up and down. Loved both seasons of Dark Winds, and season 3 is coming first part of 2025. Resident Alien has been up and down but enough up that it is still among those that I watch faithfully.

Alex and the others must be total idiots. With the increase in surveillance worldwide, you can't enter another country at the same time and it not be documented. Have to wonder if Alex and the others were involved in something else while they were in Mexico? Eric obviously truly cares about Logan, and while I think Logan cares about him as well, I do wonder about Logan confusing how he feels because Eric did save his life. A hell of a lot left to settle with only one chapter left?.!

Jake recognizes something in Danny, how closely he is right, he probably isn't sure of yet. Nate honestly did not mean anything by his comment, but you have to wonder how he would really react. I think he would be shocked at first, but unlike the other two, I think in the end, he would stand by Danny. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Well, if Kathy spends the rest of her life in that state, who will be responsible for her care? Could the state take the house or Abel's money to reimburse that cost? Abel has some money for the kid's education, that is good, I guess; but what the hell, why would he even ask to see the kids after all of this? Glad the kids had a semi normal Christmas, and Skylar seems to still be around. Steven has gotten better with his stuttering, but that may never fully go away, but we can hope. Hate that the kid's are having to relive all of this for the trial, but I guess if they want to get the guilty verdict, that is what it will take.

Well, sounds like Marc has gotten his ducks in a row, with a little help from the family. Not enough that anyone could call foul, but sometimes it is nice to be family. Marc showed why he should be more interested in these meetings by how he handled the situation with the idiot that thought because he was younger, that his input would not be concise, accurate, and to the point. Marc seems to have a few people that he truly relies on, glad to see that he has people he can truly trust.

I do worry a little about the meeting with the Baronets, not that I think any would immediately challenge Greg, but I would see trouble coming. Everyone needs to be out to do this type of renovation, no one should ever have to live through something like that. At least this group understands what they don't understand and are willing to seek help; that puts them up over a lot of people in their positions. Can't wait to see what happens next, hope the meeting with the Baronets doesn't turn into a free for all.

Well, if Alex did not file a missing person report on Eric, and he obviously did not, who did? His work, his family, a friend; Alex better have one hell of a story or the law is going to eat him alive. Failure to report someone missing that went off a boat in the middle of the ocean would be a major no no. Logan is obviously attracted to Eric, and Eric might well be attracted to Logan, but Logan saved his life and anything he is feeling right now would be all messed up with how he feels about the whole situation. They certainly do not need to do anything until they have all figured out how they feel about what has happened and what the ramifications of these events are. Amanda is awesome. She also appears to have excellent taste. Can't wait to see what happens next.

This was truly delicious. I hate to see it, but you sort of felt that the issue with the Manor and mothballing it was coming down the pike. At least the hang will be viewed and maybe this will be the start of something new for Vaughn. Of course, with Dante moving in, Vaughn may have all the new he can handle. I certainly hope that both Vaughn's mother and Dante's grandmother both come, would love to be there to see their faces during the preview. The visit with Heyward and Tim was interesting for as much of what wasn't said as what was. Amanda and Bill are just a delight as always. Martin and Bart are both reprobates, but lovable ones. I sense the end of this coming, and that makes me said, as I have come to view all of the characters in this story as almost amusing acquaintances that I will miss tremendously.

What a great start, can't wait to see where @Mark Ponyboy Peters takes this one. The description of the guy's sort of reminded me of the group from Stand By Me, just a few years older. And you have to wonder why the old fuddy duddy's think he is gay? What did he do to get that label after just a few days in town?

So glad that Jays had the good sense to know that he needed professional help. He does seem to realize that he has driven everyone to the breaking point with him. Sad that the two people that he seems to care about are Jacinta, although she has always cared about him and not just as her boss, and Dave. Love how Jays went after Jim, have to wonder what all the other executives and Rich had to think about all of this. Jim was never the same after his parents died, he went off the rails, of course, his sleeping with his niece was before that, but still it got worse when he lost both his parents. Does Rich realize that Jays his is brother, I seem to remember he was sleeping with his cousin as well, or did I dream that? I do hope that Jays decides to listen to Kris, of course, he may have to get on new medication to get to that point. Kris does care about him, and I do think Jays cares about Kris, but they may need a few days apart. Sebastian is such an ass. I am glad that Claire has made a decision, and I really believe that it is the only one that she could have made. Jack was an idiot, and there just is no coming back from this. Not sure that I see her and Luke being a long-term thing, but stranger things have happened in this saga. Claire makes sense for someone that Jays would turn to, she was really there for him after the incident in Oslo. And she is levelheaded enough to make the hard decisions that might have to be made over this situation. @Mark Arbour, yes, enjoy your time away, but be back refreshed and ready to continue this story as well as George Granger; maybe the sea will inspire you...

Honestly, probably not a good thing to piss Marc off, he can easily make sure you are not welcome on any of the stations that his family have sway over or with. Sounds like someone that thought he could have his cake and eat it too. Glad that Tom and Marc got back out, and Rachel seem like a nice addition. Jessica is interesting to me, she needs more story time. LOL.

Nice start to the second book, looks as if Marc has been busy. Nice to see that Janek and Hugo are giving it a go.

WOW, sounds like Logan and Eric both had some real winners in their life. How the hell is Alex going to explain that Logan just vanished, don't you think the others on the boat or in Logan's life are going to ask questions? Eric strikes me as the kind of man that is rather easy going until crossed and then he plays to win; of course, early yet so that opinion might change. Really interesting start to this story...
