NO WAY! To compare these 2 is almost sacrilegious! The Lord of the Rings, IMO, is perhaps one of the most magical series of books you'll ever read in your life. The movies I believe don't do them justice but are spectacular none the less, and yeah I'm going into geek mode! Don't get me wrong, I love the genius of the HP books and films, but for me LOTR sits way out in front - on a pedestal of its own - and totally untouchable. :king:

I don't understand people who, with a wave of a wand, would like to turn straight! Being in the 'majority' isn't a gold ticket to everlasting joy, pure happiness and a perfect life. We've all seen people on both sides of the fence suffer hardship one way or another. You could say that being gay makes you more resolute, and you would have a point. But you deal with whatever life throws at you, god knows I have, but sometimes you just need to keep hitting the home runs and give one finger to people who think you are anything but normal. Change? It's the world that needs to change not us!

I couldn’t date anyone overly religious. I’m a total atheist; so much of that side of the conversation would be totally moot. I’ve dipped my toe into that pool before now and frankly would have reservations in doing it again. I have no issues with belief, it’s when they try and impose that on you I have major issues. I had a boyfriend/f*** buddy once (albeit for 2 weeks) that criticised my lifestyle, my friends, the fact that I smoke and drank too much…. but then had no problem what so ever in spending the night with his legs in the air! Go figure. I don’t base everything on that one experience, but if I date a guy, then I at least want somebody with my own low moral standards!

I'm totally with you. All those orgies should be totally up Mark's street! That said he's never needed to revert to Roman times to include one or two of those in his stories!

Mmmmmm, race/religion doesn't come into it. If I find a person interesting & sexy then that's the basis on which I'll sleep with them. I choose not to date at the moment, but that's another story. lol I do have a type though, blond and cute. I can't help myself. I don't consciously go for that particular kinda guy, but EVERY long term boyfriend I've had fits that bill.

I think this is the oddest question! lol I can put words to my sex life...none of them repeatable on here mind you. But a colour? At a push RED with black edges, with maybe a touch of purple! I'm a demon in bed... do I get extra points?

There’s a lot to be said for one night stands and f***buddies. You get what you need and move on… simple. No hassles and commitments suits some people, myself included. I live my life as I want to, without any complications from a significant other. Trust me, been there done that, have the tee-shirt and mug plus dealt with unwanted baggage once it ended. Am I bitter? No, I moved on. But will I make myself vulnerable again anytime soon? I don’t think so. That’s not to say that I’m closed minded on the issue, but it would take someone extraordinary to change my current mind-set. In the meantime I’ll have fun, enjoy the freedom and the chase the weekend gives me.
