  1. Happy Birthday!
  2. Karma - ain't it grand!
  3. I had to re-read the original title because I wasn’t sure I read it correctly the first time! This is shocking beyond belief if this practice really goes on. It beggars belief that this barbarism is sanctioned by parents who want a male child! At a loss for words… I really am.
  4. Amazing use of space, but rather than him than me in that rabbit hutch! lol. I don’t like the idea of having to pull my bed out, especially when I’ve had a few drinks!
  5. It all depends on the circumstances, who dumped who… was it an acrimonious split etc. But as a rule I would avoid it out of courtesy.
  6. As far as I’m aware it’s always been aligned to the left, I’m struggling to even remember when it wasn’t. Maybe before the new software was brought in? First time I’ve actually thought about it is when you mentioned it, still can’t say it bothers me any!
  7. I hardly think an English team (Man Utd) getting to the final of the Champions League was woeful! Nor were the amount of teams we had in the final stages. To be fair Barcelona were magnificent throughout the competition, and deserved winners, so total kudos to them for playing the beautiful game to almost perfection. That said, the Premier League, (week by week in season), attracts more viewers worldwide than any other sporting event during the year.. aside from the Olympics, Commonwealth Games etc. Sadly it is also gluttonous in its greed, which is slowly killing clubs in the lower leagues.
  8. Thankfully we have 'REAL' football starting in August, so no worries over here!
  9. Ok, I have a crush as I stated earlier in the thread. I've known this guy for 10 years and he's the one that introduced me to GA. You ever had anyone push every button in bed? Someone who you can talk to for hours on end and not get tired of their conversation. Yeah, that's where I'm at! However it's now more than a crush, he's my other half! One drunken night we thought it would be a good idea to sleep together and it's gone from there. My man.. Sir Galahad
  10. With milk, like any other chocolaty goodness. You do have to scrape the centre away with your teeth beforehand, but after that… Oh, and this will be very English… digestive biscuits dipped in tea... heaven. Not milky tea mind you, in fact tea is best served black with maybe a tiny bit of sugar and a dash of lemon.
  11. LOL As far as I’m aware there’s no censorship. Asterisks are down to the individual author. I never hold back in mine, and if you read Mark Arbours work you can be left in no doubt!
  12. Damn I missed it; I could always give you a blow job as penance!
  13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIBBY!
  14. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET CHEEKS!
  15. Ok, the one thing you’ve NOT tried is to re-apply thermal paste to your CPU! What you describe sounds like a classic case of thermal degradation; what everyone forgets is that it’s advisable to clean your CPU every 8-12 months. If your fan is almost cracking your mobo when you seat it, then you, like me some time ago, bought an Artic fan which was then ill suited for AMD motherboards. Fans should be tight, but not to the extent where you have to seriously force it. Brute force on something as fragile as a motherboard is asking for trouble. Honestly, buy a new fan, thermal remover (& paste), surface purifier and that (fingers crossed) could solve your problem.
  16. I can never leave a negative for a story, no matter how bad. The way I see it there are 4 categories. Superb, great, pretty good and awful. For the really bad stories who, IMO, have no hope I just skip. I could bitch til the next millennium, but no comment is better than being ruthless. If a story has potential, but it’s kinda all over the place then I’ll IM the author privately and offer constructive advice. Public criticism is not necessary. But all that said I’m terrible for leaving reviews, I’ve become what I always detested, a lazy reader. I should know belter frankly. Authors thrive on reviews, and if we can take the time to read, then it costs us nothing to give some praise where it’s due.
  17. Is there anyway of turning off the review notification because it’s been worse than spam mail this last 24 hours? Grumpy bastard I know, but still suffering from the weekends booze fest.

    Chapter 9

Another great chapter. It’s hard to guess what’s coming next, but with Greg going I guess it’ll help Corey move on somewhat. But this is Krista we’re talking about, nothing is ever that simple, I expect many more complications and dramas down the road!
  19. I think suck. Let’s face it; studios have a LONG history of trying to remake/bring back classics and failing badly. Scooby Doo for one. I loved the original, but hated what they did to it after they brought it back. Some things are best left untouched and remembered as true classics. Raking over old ground and making a hash of it merely soils the genius of what’s gone before. You never know, the Flintstones maybe the exception to the rule, but I for one am not holding my breath.
  20. Happy Birthday! :2thumbs: :worship: ::
  21. And the winner is Azerbaijan. Underwhelmed I have to say, but the block votes from the eastern Europeans sealed it for them. UK, France etc deserved to do much better, but how can you compete with the eastern brotherhood? Think it’s time some of the founding countries withdrew their financial support for this competition until the voting is sorted. But I seem to say that every year. lol
  22. 10: Russia. This could grow on you over time, but considering we have to vote tonight it just doesn’t do enough I think. 11: France. Considering this is the bookies favourite I was disappointed. Mock opera isn’t my thing and it doesn’t fit the mould of Eurovision. He does have a great voice though, but, I dunno, I’d be surprised if this won. 12: Italy. Kinda of a jazz thing going on here and I liked it, surprisingly. Hasn’t a snowballs chance in hell of winning, but a good return from the Italians. 13: Switzerland. Catchy summer song sums this entry up pretty well. Out on the balcony, few beers and this on the background… perfect. 14: United Kingdom. Loved it, best of the night by a mile… and no patriotism there at all! In all seriousness, this is a really good effort from us, but as I said before we’ll never win. If we do manage a miracle with the tactical voting that goes on it’ll be well deserved. Just a pity I can’t vote for it. 15: Moldova. Total car crash… complete dross. Awful, abysmal, terrible and reminded me of the dreadful entries of the early 90’s. I need another drink after that. 16: Germany. They wheeled out the artist who won it for them last year, pity they couldn’t recycle the song as well because this was mediocre at best. 17: Romania. Happy catchy song. Though the singers constant winking at the camera was annoying. I know I’m getting bitchy… I blame Jack Daniels. 18: Austria. Real diva performance this, loved it. Not enough to take my vote from Sweden, but a close second. 19: Azerbaijan. Pleasant enough duet, nice harmonies, though the staging let it down somewhat. 20: Slovenia. This girl had a set of lungs on her that’s fer sure. Song was ok, but her voice deserved better. 21: Iceland. I know there is some sentiment behind this song and I applaud them, but this sounds like a throw back from the 70’s. The Wurzels come to mind! 22: Spain. If there was an award for camp dancers this would win it hands down. ROFL. Loved the little shimmies. As for the song, seriously catchy, I may have to vote for Spain & Sweden. 23: Ukraine. Okayyyy. Weirdness of the night goes to these guys. Song wasn’t bad, but what really put me off was the girl in the background doing sand painting which was projected onto the stage screen. Moving on….. 24: Serbia. The staging was a throwback to the 60’s and as for the song, well, sung out of tune for the most part. Next FINAL SONG 25: Georgia. Save the best for last. NOT. Rock songs are right up my street, but her nasily voice made me hit mute half way through. So that’s it, the songs are done, we wait now for the tactical voting. Not that I’m cynical at all. Anyway, for what it’s worth my votes went to Sweden & Spain, I’m drunk, so it seems like a good idea.
  23. Well, the party’s started, the 6 of us have polished off the first bottle of JD after only 3 songs… and yeah, they were that bad! This could be a very long (and drunken evening). 1: Finland; Awful, wet and sickly song. I can’t see this being on too many score cards come the end. 2: Bosnia & Herzegovina; (Sigh) Folksy and tepid, lots of arm waving from the singers… we were throwing popcorn at the screen! 3: Denmark; Cute guy wearing black leather gets my vote…. but the guys hated it. The song was pretty throw away, but the eye candy IMO glossed over that. 4: Lithuania; Hide the knifes, I so wanna slash my wrists. She was out of tune, the song was so morose.. BUT kudos for the sign language used by the ‘artist’. (I do use that loosely) 5: Hungary; AWESOME. At last the completion starts. Very catchy euro pop, amazing voice.. and I loved her bling. lol. Oh and my token straight mate liked her legs. 6: Ireland; I hate this with a passion. JEdward just irritate me no end. Nuff said. It’ll probably win though. 7: Sweden; I’m in love. The singer is totally drop dead gorgeous, and the song is by far the best of the night so far. Gets my vote at the moment. 8: Estonia; Not bad, but has split the vote here with the guys. Typical euro pop, but nothing really special. 9: Greece; Cringe worthy TBH, it'll get 12 points from Cyprus though.. for a change! lol

    Chapter 13

LOL Well, if Will stopped acting as if he was 7 then more respect would be due I feel. He does come across as a spoiled brat sometimes, I almost expect him to stamp his feet if he doesn't get his own way. But hell, we were all teenagers once.. and I will certainly not admit to being that petulant!
  25. This time of year again? Sadly I think Ireland will win this year because the song is soooo cheesy and annoyingly catchy. I hate JEdward with a passion, but the Europeans will love them! The UK have a really great song this year, but we wont win cos Europe hates us. As for France being the favourite, that's doomed them right from the get go. Having a Eurovision party tonight with a few mates so the JD will be flowing, so expect a few, umm, colourful posts on here later!
