CJAMES' story 'Circumnavigation' is the longest story onsite. The chapters average at just about 6000 words and each was greatly anticipated when posted. My point is write your story the way you think is best.

Chicago pizza is a pie. I like it for a change but usually like a thin crust pizza. Italian sausage and green peppers for toppings. And now I could go for pizza.....pity it's too late at night, I would be up until dawn.

As we near the end of August, I see two teams that have really done well despite all the things that happen over a long season. The National League's LA Dodgers have been phenomenal as have the American League's Houston Astros. I know under the expanded playoff structure these two teams have somewhat less of a chance to advance to the World Series, and if that happens, it will be sad. With a little more than a month to go in the 2017 season, the Dodgers already have 91 wins with a 13.5 lead over the Washington Nationals and the Astros have78 wins with a 5 game lead over the Boston Red Sox. While I wish my Cards were doing better in the least competitive division in baseball, I cannot help but appreciate the talent I've seen on the Dodgers and the Astros.

If you did not get to see the PBS broadcast special, the program is available on line. http://www.ninenet.org/blogs/program-highlights/the-farthest-voyager-in-space/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw8vnMBRDgARIsACm_BhJhLGdVESXh1IABEJ6dIN9mEz0QSmugApLpahF4OQqrNmhLSj9W3lgaAjbgEALw_wcB

Calvert is learning about appearances and despite his preference realizes he must make the best of things so as to not cause social complications beyond what is tolerated. Granger sees these things intuitively and sometimes loses his patience proving he too is human.

Re-reading four years after it was posted, I am still enamored with Granger's exploits and his ability to find solutions no matter the problem.

Scott's remark that he thought it was worth it, left me speechless. And why would anyone believe that the crazy old woman wouldn't change her mind in the future? I think Wade has been and continues to be in over his head regarding his sister and mother, despite assurances to the contrary. I miss Will!

There are many people who are unable to forgive a deep hurt inflicted by a former lover. Liam clearly has a forgiving heart and a generous one. This story takes the reader on a roller coaster of emotions and is certainly well crafted and well told. I heartily recommend it to everyone who has ever wanted a second chance....

Rereading I find I didn't leave a prior comment. My comment is that it is good to be underway.

That was a satisfying chapter which left me wanting more...soon!

The video is in the science news article and the article should be available to all. The link is in my first post. Another link that may work or may not is the PBS link. http://www.pbs.org/the-farthest/home/ If you have flipboard on your phone they have a whole spread on it too. Here is a web link for home computers and tablets: https://flipboard.com/topic/voyager#!

The Voyagers were launched 40 years ago and marked the first time mankind explored our solar system. Their discoveries are still ongoing but they have finished their grand survey of the solar system. PBS will air a special to mark the anniversary on August 23rd. Here is a video to introduce it: An interesting article about the Voyager mission and the documentary: https://www.sciencenews.org/article/nostalgic-voyager-documentary-relives-first-exploration-solar-system

Black Widow (Story Discussion)
Daddydavek replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Mark's Topics
I still am pondering just what the import is of what Mike was talking about to Brad. Since I am in the middle of re-reading the whole Bridgemont Series and Odyssey is up next, I don't have time to go back and re-read enough in Black Widow or earlier CAP volumes to get a real idea....any help? -
I love a happy ending. Thanks for sharing your story.

Over the last six days, since August 11, 2017, I've re-read the first five books of the Bridgemont series or saga. I recommend all of them. This book, focuses on George's time on the Belvidera when he was attached to Sir Jervis' Mediterranean Fleet of the British Empire. It is a roller coaster with many highs like George faking out two Spanish ships of the line, to way too many lows like having your mentor and lover taken from you. There are so many twists and turns to the story, both at sea and back in England, that you can never be bored by it all. Through it all, our solitary hero George, is randy, incredibly lucky and luckless by turns. Only CJames has come close to writing a story with more plots and sub-plots than Mr. Arbour. Read, enjoy, comment and review! This is a master story teller at work!

Chapter 42: Final Chapter
Daddydavek commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Chapter 42: Final Chapter
From the prospective of over 5 years on, this second reading has been enthralling. If Mr. Arbour could find it in his heart to write Davina out of the story in the goriest, most hurtful way possible, it would salve my undying detestation of that shrewish bitch. Other than her, this was by far the most compelling of the stories in the Bridgemont saga to date. The battle scenes were about perfect. Tying everything into known facts of British Naval History and making it all seem so believable is truly the distinction of this whole series. -
Again with re-reading some five years on, I must confess I've read Mark's story and his comments and remain convinced that Davina is nothing but a scheming shrew more worried about her social position and spending money than about preserving the family line...that was just an excuse to be her execrable self.

Granger's experienced ear and aptitude for detail displayed again! He doesn't miss much when it comes to his chosen profession.

Rereading this more than five years later, this chapter still irks me the most. George has experienced many highs and lows in the roller coaster that is the life as conceived by Mark Arbour and to me this ranks as the lowest low, even worse than those that follow... Davina is not just a bitch, but perhaps one of the most evil characters in the GA universe.
