  1. This is a short story to warm the heart of anyone who loves their cars and their families. It is one of my all-time favorites and is a very satisfying if quick read. I heartily recommend it to everyone who loves a good up-beat story that ticks the boxes on the most important events in life!

  2. It is interesting to see some of the results. I can readily understand that some members truly cannot afford a year round subscription, but if they truly enjoy the site and want to support it, they could surely buy a random month or two during the year and contribute some to keeping a favorite site up and running. I'm supposing that you are still kicking around ideas about chat and I suspect that may be another future topic. I don't do chat but it does seem important to several members. I don't know if there are dedicated chat sites that you could offer a link to with a dedicated room for GA members and perhaps they would place an ad on their site in return? Again I know nothing of the economics of traffic or how those arrangements work or if they are too entangling to consider..... Finally story reviews. I am remiss in not spending some time and going back and providing reviews for so many of my favorite stories. I promise to try and review at least three stories a week until I work through them. As always, thanks for being an upfront, stand-up guy even if I don't always agree with all of your politics!
  3. Sorry for being repetitive: AT LAST!

    Chapter 44

Dally is really a sweet guy and more than a bit scarred by his father's sexual history.... JJ is still the self-absorbed petulant diva. Will is Will is Will. Brad is probably right about Alexandra. And it was so like him to be embarrassed by Will's story about JJ's kitchen encounter..... ...and maybe Steff is thawing a bit?
  5. The 'trap'....been there and had it happen to me. Fortunately, I was able to work my way through it with only a minor disruption to my posting Able III. I think it is a pitfall that can happen to anyone who is posting while still writing the story instead of waiting until you have it all finished. Thanks for articulating the problem so clearly and in a way that explains what can happen to the writing process.

    Chapter 28

Great party, including the parting quip!
  8. I'm not sure I'd want such a powerful aphrodisiac to constantly distract me....OK maybe I'm trying to be practical and failing..

    Chapter 1

An interesting cast of characters to even include a couple of references to Hornblower. Poor Freddy, I can't imagine him dealing with a Lady Elgin type. It was good to hear that Granger's family enjoys the island house. Thanks for the auspicious start!

    Prologue

Like too many cooks in the kitchen, it appears Granger is dealing with a similar situation.
  11. Get well soon!
  12. With no dialogue and a quietly understated sound track the film clearly tells the story. Thanks for sharing.
  13. I think you nailed the snake! Way to go! BTW I am glad you were able to put this out and hope your eye surgeries have had good results.

    Chapter 1

I'm hooked but I'm not sure who is the bigger threat, the pirate captain or the outlaw seaman and surprisingly, I don't think the captain knows either.....
  20. I don't have answers but I do have a suggestion about keeping up with comments on your chapters. Click on the 'Activity' tab at the top of the page and go to 'my activity streams' and scroll down toward the bottom for 'newest comments on my stories/chapters' and it should list the newest comments on all your stories. If you do that every couple of days or more often if you can, then you shouldn't miss any.. I too am randomly logged off and have to log back on. It is better than it was and usually only happens once a day now. I have a windows 10 home computer and use the chrome browser. My Kindle Fire tablet also logs me off at times and of course it uses the Silk browser which is basically a chrome browser tricked out some by Amazon. I haven't used the advanced search.... Hang in there Carlos and hopefully you are making progress on CJ's next adventure!

    Chapter 32

Great encounters in Raymond's office, except for the lock turning at the end..a cliffie? Really?
  22. In contrast, here is Borra playing it on an electric guitar--note some of the finger spreads!
  23. Vivaldi's Four Seasons is one of my favorites and here is a recording from the fifties of "Summer-Presto"
  24. Kudos to the reviewers and special kudos to the authors of these and many other great stories found in premium. Anyone who can afford a premium membership should be enticed by these story reviews. As there are several options available in the store, one or more should be in your comfort zone price wise. The best value is the yearly or half yearly, but if by the month or by every three months better fits your budget, then those options are available too. As a long term member of the site, I encourage members to support it financially to insure that it continues to be functional in the fast evolving digital world.
