Everybody gets depressed. Everyday depression can be overcome. For anyone to assume all depression is transitory and can be overcome without outside intervention, just shows their ignorance. It's quite different when one is suffering from clinical depression. Not all medications turn you into an unfeeling zombie, you need to work with a doctor who takes the time to fully review prior trials of medicines and find one with the correct dosing that works best for you. Even then, sometimes, medication does not provide much relief. Clinical depression can be episodically much worse and can spiral downward out of control. You must keep talking and reaching out to those you trust and get an intervention when that starts to happen. There are other alternatives and some people have had some good results with ECT. That is fairly extreme sounding but is a real alternative when all else seems hopeless. Keep using your head, trust and inform your friends, and do not just rely on your feelings. Chapter 8 has a POV shift to Will and his developing friendship with Grafton which provides a little breathing space I surmise, before we get back to Wade and his ongoing dilemma with his mom and Jeanine and Tiffany. Never mind dealing with Matt.

I got hugs, lots of time with my kids, granddaughter and rest of my family and some close friends. Presents included a new wallet, 2011 World Series memorabilia, books, I-tunes gift card and a family portrait. We had plenty of good food, much laughter and some good drink as well. I am truly blessed and thank God!

That you plan to have something else out in the near future is good news. Your plan to have this story finished in January is only good news so long as it is not the end of the Bridgemont series! We've kind of grown fond of George and his daring exploits.

Chapter 7 is up and Wade's more analytical, cool, calm, businesslike side is asserting itself. He had a bit of an epiphany as he talked to Brad: “We do. But when he starts bailing on me to go spend time with this guy, that changes things.” I said that to him, yet I’d never really thought about that much myself. Was this an ego thing on my part? “I see a threat, I told him about it, and he basically blew me off.” That realization, coupled with the betrayal of trust may have forever changed their dynamic. While they have a lot of intense and very personal history between them, and Matt is apparently completely distraught, he may not be wise (mature, experienced, level-headed) enough to figure out how to fix things with Wade. At least not anytime soon.

The cooler, calmer Wade is more like his usual self--more analytical. Matt is a mess and Wade is cutting him no slack. It seems they are living in "interesting" times.

What I want for Christmas is for everyone, whether saint or sinner, rich or poor, believer or not, to at least experience some of the inner peace and joy of the season in some random act of kindness from others and to pass it on.

My biggest pet peeve is lack of time to read more of the great stories on the site.

The Earl has seen the light and is changed. Well, the follow through may be harder than he thinks as Freddy's wife is a scheming evil wench.

The latest chapter posted this morning shows the dynamic of Wade adjusting to Matt's inability to walk away from Carl and then he learns that Matt has violated his trust by telling Carl about Wade's history. In most relationships that would be a 'deal-breaker'. The 'rough patch' has a larger dimension and Matt has clearly told Wade where he stands. This is more than a bump in their relationship. Seeing how or if they come through this together will be interesting.

The 'rough patch' in their relationship is getting rougher. Wade's conversation with JP was two edged in that Wade is forewarned that he is not seeing the whole picture and that it could be either not as ugly or even uglier....

The letter from George's father is the heart of the chapter. It represents a sea change in his attitude toward his legacy and has George more than concerned at the implications. The food competition seemed a foregone conclusion. And of course, we leave the chapter still at dinner and not the 'after-party'...

Lisa has an "ah ha!" moment and then the king of cliffies leaves us hanging until Christmas, like we don't have a million things to do that day already? The author is the most insensitive, hard headed, confounding, two-horned, scribe in the GA universe. And that was the least objectionable thing I could say.

Good story. Made me laugh. I liked the scenes with the twins. Some of the verbal exchanges were great!

Even if an extremely highly virile young stud could get it off 42 times in a row, my bet is that he would pass out before dying. And yes a gallon of lube would be needed. And yes the pic is hot.

A really great read. I didn't want it to end. A real Christmas treat!
