Chapter 7 is up and Wade's more analytical, cool, calm, businesslike side is asserting itself. He had a bit of an epiphany as he talked to Brad: “We do. But when he starts bailing on me to go spend time with this guy, that changes things.” I said that to him, yet I’d never really thought about that much myself. Was this an ego thing on my part? “I see a threat, I told him about it, and he basically blew me off.” That realization, coupled with the betrayal of trust may have forever changed their dynamic. While they have a lot of intense and very personal history between them, and Matt is apparently completely distraught, he may not be wise (mature, experienced, level-headed) enough to figure out how to fix things with Wade. At least not anytime soon.

The cooler, calmer Wade is more like his usual self--more analytical. Matt is a mess and Wade is cutting him no slack. It seems they are living in "interesting" times.

What I want for Christmas is for everyone, whether saint or sinner, rich or poor, believer or not, to at least experience some of the inner peace and joy of the season in some random act of kindness from others and to pass it on.

It really is the best written piece that I've read of yours. And it ended with Nephy being true to herself and her genre. Nice story and very, very well done. Happy Christmas!

The latest chapter posted this morning shows the dynamic of Wade adjusting to Matt's inability to walk away from Carl and then he learns that Matt has violated his trust by telling Carl about Wade's history. In most relationships that would be a 'deal-breaker'. The 'rough patch' has a larger dimension and Matt has clearly told Wade where he stands. This is more than a bump in their relationship. Seeing how or if they come through this together will be interesting.

The 'rough patch' in their relationship is getting rougher. Wade's conversation with JP was two edged in that Wade is forewarned that he is not seeing the whole picture and that it could be either not as ugly or even uglier....

The letter from George's father is the heart of the chapter. It represents a sea change in his attitude toward his legacy and has George more than concerned at the implications. The food competition seemed a foregone conclusion. And of course, we leave the chapter still at dinner and not the 'after-party'...

Lisa has an "ah ha!" moment and then the king of cliffies leaves us hanging until Christmas, like we don't have a million things to do that day already? The author is the most insensitive, hard headed, confounding, two-horned, scribe in the GA universe. And that was the least objectionable thing I could say. -
Good story. Made me laugh. I liked the scenes with the twins. Some of the verbal exchanges were great!

Even if an extremely highly virile young stud could get it off 42 times in a row, my bet is that he would pass out before dying. And yes a gallon of lube would be needed. And yes the pic is hot.

So B'stoke is still 'hovering' and probably has access to the K at its mooring in the river. Still too many loose ends to tie up and we have to wait for another installment to find out what Lisa figured out.

I noted the clip only lasted 32 seconds. When I replayed it, it again only lasted 32 seconds. Not nearly long enough for a dirty old man...

I loved how Mickey grew up and moved on with his life and that in the 'aftermath' it turned out so well. But I have to tell you, Tad is the least romantic guy I ever heard of. He couldn't have planned to ask Mick "the question" in the kitchen while Mick was cooking at the stove! I mean, he had to be so excited, the question just popped out and in the scenario--it fell flat. It was a very interesting set-up. Good job.

Wade is not getting the support he wants from Matt, so Gathan does become a bigger threat. With the strong foundation that their relationship was built on, I would have thought that if they broke up it would be over little things as they drifted apart. But all is not lost and hopefully this is just a rough patch as Wade and Matt mature at different rates and develop their relationship; which could end up even stronger.

Ouch! Matt really doesn't see it. Gathan is part of the family, Carl is a dumb jock on the hockey team. Looks like more than a little bump in the road for Wade and he still has to get throuh the stuff with his controlling mother and the drama down at the beach in SoCal.... Concentrating on school may be a respite.
