    Bull Dust

95 Chapters, with 95% bull dust with only a few bits of any insight provided....As the author blithely ignores his fans desire to know and instead, just provides enough to titillate.

    Red

Well Nock did as expected and talked to the big, bad, wolf. Just for fun, one of my favorite off-beat songs from 1966 was by Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs' L'il Red Riding Hood.
  3. That would only make sense if you were reading it in the northern hemisphere on a pre-PC Wang dumb terminal. And yeah, I am old enough to have actually used one. (Wang terminals were dedicated and very early word processing systems used only in large companies or the government from the mid-1970's.)
  4. Ahh! But you have the advantage there, we lowly fans have to wait for it to be actually posted!
  5. For those of us unfamiliar with Aussie slang, I looked the following up: bull dust   noun Australian Slang . nonsense; bull.
  6. No not just Claremont, but a whole swath of so called middle America. As far as the war, in Vietnam we had the draft and that affected a much broader segment of America. While there were college deferments, those only lasted so long, I know from first hand experience, I was drated in 1971 at age 23 after spending four years in college. Now we have the all recruited military. Many who plan on becoming career soldiers. Many who could not find a decent paying job elsewhere. In Vietnam, turnover in the ranks was high and people did not have three, four and five deployments to the warzone. Kids in college do not worry about being drafted. So there is virtually no protest.
  7. Our esteemed "queen" of the cliff-hangars author has certainly engendered passionate feelings in his readers. There are a whole host of threads that need to be tied up to bring this story to a successful conclusion. While I have not taken any position on all the brainstorming, analysis of minutiae, and speculation, I do find it interesting. I too would be disappointed if there was not some accountability. Trevor has certainly undergone a lot, including gruesome attempts on his life and karma would call for some balance. Bridget, the dirty cop, Sanchez and his evil cohorts, including the paid asassin B'stoke all deserve bad things happening a whole lot more than anyone in Trevor's family IMHO.
  8. Red cape on the sensitive one who thinks outside the box. What is the chance he ignores a cry for help or some other enticement to leave the path! High I bet. Now which of the hidden world races snares him? And for what purpose. Lots of questions. Hopefully, the wait will not be long. Good job!
  9. Given J.P.'s reaction to the SE Asia debacle in the '60's, could it be any less for the S.W. Asia debacle that Bush-Cheney got us into? I could see J.P. being ok going after O-B-L in Afghanistan, but getting us into Iraq is going to really raise his ire. His entire extended family will be fully informed by his incisive acumen. You also are also right about Claremont and the right wing. Way too much of America has bought into that without really doing much thinking for themselves.

    Chapter 15

So the title character is not? Glory is not Damphir? Sar has overcome his resistance to being imprinted. Interesting penultimate chapter!

    Chapter 9

A very sexy ending to a very nice chapter. Well done. My only gripe, I had to go back and read 8 to get back into the story. Hopefully the wait for 10 will not be as long!
  12. C94 covered a lot of bases aka characters thanks! So they got to their island hideout late on 12-7 or very early in the morning on 12-8 and went into town on 12-8. Wheels are coming into the picture, and C99 is the big one? I must admit I still haven't a firm grip on where you are going with this. I just hope that karma plays a role and all the fecal material dished out by Sanchez and his cohorts in crime comes back to haunt them bigtime.
  13. OMG we heard about Trevor and Shane, Ned and the coasties, Lisa and Joel, and even the wicked witch in FL as well as B'stoke. The story did mention the river running high in December, but if a specific date was mentioned, I missed it. "Headquarters ordered us to do that, and it’s very much under the prevue of Customs and Border Protection, so I can’t see them having any ground to object.” A prevue is like a preview according to the dictionary. However, methinks you meant purview as in jurisdiction???
  14. Arghhh! I read through this chapter. It held my interest, infuriated me, titillated me and in some ways appalled me. I guess that means the author is doing something right.
  15. Does the "rogue" cop who went out of his area on the night of the attack have a case for libel against the defense attorney? I've said it before, it takes a special kind of arrogance to be an effective trial attorney and your defense lawyer character vindicates my position. Having said all that, I am still amazed that our system of law works as well as it does as often as it does.
  16. Very nice chapter. It was well constructed, utterly believable and properly nuanced. Especially loved when Scot ran for the bag and Charlie's reaction. As to the question how a big guy with big muscles who had one mate likewise built, could fall for a small guy like Charlie, the answer is kismet. Love, like life and most other things, happens.
  17. So 10 more days or so in Trevor time, I'm guessing at least 5 weeks in Goat time? The title of the coming chapter also sounds ominous. B'stoke is beyond malevolent in that he is cunning and a master of disguise as well. His cover as a dealer in security devices is so convenient. The fact that he knows about the "K" is scary. However, finding a well hidden boat even with a plane is still like looking for a needle in a haystack. They could be at sea, or in one of dozens of places along the coast in either direction, but most likely toward Perth. That is one large area with a lot of emptiness.

    Chapter 4

Loved it! Two soul mates finding each other and being truly joined is always something I like to see. However, knowing the author, I suspect trouble lies ahead.....

    Chapter 2

"His smile was predatory and I couldn't breathe as his head lowered. The anticipation of what he was going to do had me on the brink of orgasm and we were both still fully dressed. I felt the scrape of his fangs down my neck and my hands came up and locked into his shirt at his back, holding him close so he couldn't pull away again" The above quote was near the end of chapter 2, just before the knock at the door interrupted the first bite..... Only earlier, Ellis woke up and didn't have any pants on and when he asked Dav showed him his pants neatly folded. So just how "fully dressed" was he? It's just a quibble, I really like the story so far and have a couple more chapters to catch up.

    Chapter 14

    Loved it!
  21. For a real long sea saga, try the Hornblower series; while it's not completely straight, its not too overtly gay either. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_17?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=hornblower+series+complete+set&sprefix=Hornblower+series
  22. Would that more pieces would fall into place at dizzying speeds like junk from space!

    What Goes Up….

Well Rocky and Bullwinkle they are not, but as far as the plan to trap whomever came after Trevor's boat, "Curses, foiled again!" The cover as a security salesman is too good and B'stroke got another pass. Meanwhile, nothing yet in this chapter providing an actual date so we lowly readers would have some better fix on the timeline. Poor Trevor (and Shane) have a professional assasin on the hunt who is resourceful as well. Still nothing on Lisa and Joel or the she devil and her crooked cop friend.
  24. Dirk got Jim to go out in drag as I recall. I'd say that's pretty gay. While I don't recall CJ describing any great make-out scenes between Dirk and Jim, the clear impression was that they had a gay relationship. As usual, I didn't read any great mystery into it and must confess the level of speculation in CJ's forum is intense!
  25. Working 6 years and you only get 1 week vacation a year? Sounds lame. Having your vacation denied sounds lamer. Hopefully, you otherwise really like your job and interacting with the public.
