  1. I saw the last episode of season one over the weekend. I guess the next season will deal with Seanchan as the boats are arriving from the east... I continue to think the series is well photographed, acted and scripted if only vaguely following the story by Jordan. Again I'm not surprised that the script takes a lot of liberty with the book as a faithful rendition would have involved hours upon hours.

A little getaway with fun on the beach. But I'm left squirming anticipating some Liston tongue action! Merry Chistmas!

Thank-you! I loved this chapter from the sweaty opening to the pillow talk ending. Another dollop tomorrow would almost be heaven! And I do appreciate all your work. Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Another nice tidbit! Nicely presented and with interesting dialogue, but about 7k short!
  9. Methinks the trap was sprung and Jonathan is about to fall into Maddox's clutches. I think one more kiss will do it.
  10. I saw this article and thought it another small step in the war against HIV. https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/586735-fda-approves-first-hiv-prevention-injection?utm_medium=40digest.intl.20211222.home&utm_source=email&utm_content=&utm_campaign=campaign

Another no worriesome news chapter as the author seems to be trying to lull us into complacency. However, we all know that somewhere along the way the excrement hits the wind machine... I want a 10k word chapter that drips with exciting stuff for Christmas Eve!
  13. Episode 7 was up early and I watched it tonight. The opening is startling and violent and isn't really explained until almost the end of the episode. The story is galloping along and so far I'm enjoying the ride as it takes liberties with the original text... I also must admit that I had a love-hate relationship with the books as the plot meandered from pillar to post and find this much more direct story telling more to my liking.
  14. A bit hopeful after so much bitterness...amazing how the promise of the next generation can melt even the hardest heart.

  19. A short but hilairious bit of fun from Carlos that takes potshots at some of the more outspoken members of the site all done in good fun. (At least until Cia revokes Carlos' Signature Author Status.)

Hilairious tongue-in-cheek fun. And yes I can totally see you trash talking Mann this way...

Ready for a late lunch? And, yes I met several of Northman's type while working in a large government agency. The fact that they valued unctiousness over competency was part of the reason I retired as early as I could afford.

Brevity may be the soul of wit, but I fell in love with the books by Charles Dickens as a pre-teen and love a fully descriptive narrative, so I must concur with JACC. I think the story to date has fully established that the ambassador is fully competent in her job of managing her embassy. A point that seems to elude CJ's superior. The failure of the Mexican head of Amazon to get back quickly to CJ is as Ozzie said puzzling. I hope the school outreach program is not the issue that causes the disruption that has CJ and family leaving Mexico... As usual, I'm mentally salivating for more....lots more.
  23. I watched episode 6 early this morning and I agree the series is moving along a lot faster than the books, but that was to be expected. The continuity is easier to follow without all the excruciating details of all the subterfuge and political manuvering in the White Tower. Sihuan was much more complexly portrayed and constrained by politics in the book. The other hands were barely mentioned or described. I'm still hooked and look forward to the next episode.
  24. My wife is fixated on the Hallmark Movie Channel which is running Christmas movies full time. Ughhh!
  25. I've watched all five episodes and found them visually stunning with dialogue that is less stilted than in the book. I will definitely be watching the entire series. And the guy playing Rand is eye candy. Perrin is a bear!
