Poor George, to be stuck in Russia when Nelson is at sea and doing battle....
Poor Daventry, to be the toyboy for the Tsar's mother.
Somehow I think the time is soon approaching when Granger must take his leave of mother Russia.
More please!
Congrats for another completed book in the very believable universe you have created. These are genuinely nice characters that try to do their best. I eagerly await the next volume.
It is sad when people are in love, but the time is not right for either of them and they are both mature enough to know and accept that fact.
Life is not a fairy tale, double entendre intended.
Ritch likes to surprise his friends. I think he gets that from that ancient biker dude. Good job, but I have mixed feelings as this book nears the end.
Mine was on a Light Observation Helo in Vietnam. The pilot was practicing flying nap of the earth after he picked me up in the bush so I could catch my flight home going on leave for my first wedding anniversary in January 1972.....and no I didn't barf!
@sojourn Thanks for reading and I'm so glad you enjoyed this story that I wrote seven years ago....Wow it just hit me how long ago that was!
I noticed every one of your "likes" and it seems you were binge reading which is a good sign that someone is enjoying the story.
Once again, thanks very much for reading and commenting!
Great job! I'm on my tablet so will amend and add later.
I especially liked how Ritch dealt with his counterpart over the hissy fit the underclassman about bringing a girlfriend.
I also liked the description of the USAF Academy Chapel which provided enough to picque my interest more and do some more research to include picture of the interior. I especially liked this one:
After 5 days, what gay kid turns down a handjob? For that matter, what straight kid in a similar situation! Ryan doesn't act shy at all and I'm wondering at his connection to the black fox....
I'm glad that you are enjoying my story. I too like a story that is accessible and I tried to be clear so everyone could visualize what I was describing. Thanks again for your kind words and I hope you continue to enjoy my story.
A fun chapter with some moving on and the addition of Tom to the entourage. Will is ever the opportunist, and his comment about Patrick brought a smile to my face.
I'm just going to see what happens in Chapter 2. So far, I'm a little confused by the (forward flash?) interview that begins: "Joining us tonight is Owen Davies of Black Fox fame!"
The placement seems a little out of kilter and while it lets us know Owen is gay, I'm not sure what else it accomplishes except to let us know he has a predictable British sense of humour.
