  1. WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO CIA's husband is finally among us mwhahahahahahahahaha lol. But seriously, Welcome to GA my good Man, I don't think you'll find a funnier, friendler group of people on the online community, very few people here bite...without permission, so hop on it and enjoy yourself. Best Wishes, NightOwl P.S I'm curious as to why you called the thread *don't get mad*
  2. Hey All. I just wanted to drop in and say Merry Christmas. I wanted to wish yall a happy holiday season, no matter what you celebrate or even if you don't celebrate a thing.
  3. Hmm, I'll admit to never playing any of the games mentioned here, except a WoW free trial. I'm just not much for online gaming I guess. Though I do admit that the idea of game sequence in populer video games is pretty cool. Dragon Age looks like fun so i migth have to try it out oneof these days.
  4. I saw this trailer when i went to see the HP6 at the theatre, i thought it looked pretty cool too. I wasn't aware that it modeled after a book series, I might ahve to look it up as i am looking for something to read.
  5. I remember all that crap they spewd at over Pokemon. My Grandma even laughed at that crap and she is a very God fearing woman(shes not a fanatic or anything but she never misses a day in church, but she is still kinda old school about it). She made some pretty good points on it. One guy said that lightening symbol on one of trading cards was the symbol of the devil (the man claimed to be a former Satanist....satanists don't worship the devil) she said if anything the lightening bolt should be considered a symbol of God...she gave a real good reason abck then but for the life of me I can't remember why. One thing I was surprised about was that I never saw any "Religious" nutso crap over the Yu-Gi-Oh stuff. Did anyone else seen any thing about the Yu-Gi-Oh stuff?
  6. Happy Birthday Nikolai, hope you have many more
  7. Happy Birthday Dude, Many happy returns
  8. David here is right. The best thing any of us can do is contact our elected officials, spread the news of this as far as we can, and contact the major Human Rights organizations. The more people that we enlighten to the situation and convince to contact thier Elected officials the better.

I feel like a real ass...I knew he was sick but wasn't aware of that He had surgery. I wish him a quick recovery as well.
  10. Hmm, its been a long year... A lot of great things happened to me this year. I got to spend time taking care of my 2nd cousins, We moved into a better house, and I came here to GA. Eath of those things may seem insignificant but in reality they were huge. I got to spend time with my cousins because come next year I most likly wont seem them as often, Our old house was a death trap, and coming to GA has been amazing, I've made new friends, found a palce to post my work where I can get real feedback, and found some truely kick ass writers and people. I agree with you though Prince that the thing I would do differently was pack more education into my year, if I ahd been a bit more attentive I would already have gotten my Diploma. Reading...wow I have read so much good stuff here on GA its impossible to narrow it down. I haven't really read anything terrible, I mean the obits are sad but we all die. A lot of good music has come out this year, Reba, Brad Paisly, Brooks and Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, and Rascal Flatts have all put out some great work this yea, so have a lot of the other artists I listen to but these guys are my favs. No terrible music that I can come up with though. And liek you again what friends I have we have managed to make it another year, and I've made a bunch of new ones too, all acredited to this place.
  11. I've never had it with sweetcorn but BBQ Chicken with Mushroom, peppers, and onion is amazing lol
  12. You all have said some really great stuff here, so much so that I find myself at a bit of a loss for something to say myself, but of course I will give it a shot. My experiance with *Local* Christianity was mixed so I'll stay away from it here as i don't want to inadvertantly taint the topic with my negativity. I call myself a Wiccan but in reality I'm more of a Spiritualist, I love to study and learn about other Faiths. Most religions at their core teach three things. Reverance to God Personal Enlightenment Acceptance for Others In my opinion two out of three of these are vital to human existance (if you don't belive in a God/Goddess thats your right). There are too many people walking around out there that are lost and unfulfilled and just full of anger and hate. Religion isn't the only way to solve these problems but I know for me a it was a big step. Learning about Reincarnation helped me to understand and accept other religions and their point of view, after all i may be among them one day. Having always been a tree huger finding a religion that places Reverance on nature was not only a very validating thing for me, but also helped me to learn that being myself is alright, that the only person I have to change for is me, which made me want to be better. You can't make a difference in this world unless you have some semblance of peace with yourself. Like I said Religion (and certainly Wicca) aren't the only way to find that peace but it can help. Maybe I've rambled a bit or got off topic, if so I appologize. BEst WIshes. NightOwl
  13. Happy birthday mate, and many many more.
  14. I was flicking through the radio the other day and I found another song I could add to my list. "When I get where I'm going" Is a duet of Brad paisley and Dolly Parton, that makes me cry, but in a good way.
  15. I can agree with Prince on this one. I mean yea what program is gonna make you a better person, but a lot of the stuff they have on during the holidays can be uplifiting. It can help to take your mind of the day to day grind and the tragedy and what not. In short it can make you smile, at least for a bit. Other then that I think the list is pretty solid.
  16. The first and fifth on your list are the only ones from it I have seen, I think. I don't really have any favorite Christmas movies, I'm still a sucker for Rudolph and Frosty though lol.
  17. Some could consider that arrogant. I mean how can you presume to write a Vampire themed book and just toss out DECADES worth of history and lore. I mean it doesn't really make any difference to me, I don't do Vamps, but still.
  18. There really aren't too many Celebs that I'd go in for but I have managed to come up with three lol. For my reasons, well they're mainly sexual, sue me lol. Micheal Grant Terry is my first choice for the simple fact I like his scruffy looks lol. George Clooney Has to come in at number two, I've had a thing for him since Batman and Robin, and maybe it me but he just gets better looking with age lol Sean Murry caps off my list lol. More so his charceter in NCIS then anything else, smart, cute, funny, carries a gun and just SOOOO innocent looking. Yea I could have fun with McGee. P.S I would have post the pics themselves but I don't know how.
  19. I've been told that a few times Nephylim but I can't do that lol, I hate to come into something and not know the beginning of it, I'd have to watch Twilight for the history. Yes, i think its great lol.
  20. lol sorry bout the late welcome, I hope you'll enjoy your time here.
  21. Hmm, I really don't have any right to be in here, having never read the books or watched the movies; but I couldn't resist popping in lol. From little I've heard of either book or movie has at best been mixed between the greatest thing ever made or drivel that should only be used for fire kindling, there doesn't seem too be much middle ground lol. Likely as not I'll end watching the movies and reading books, just to see what all the fuss is about. I don't think I'll enjoy it too much though. From what I've seen so far its more Vamp Oriented(I could be wrong), and I've always liked Werewolves better lol.
  22. Happy Thanksgiving all, hope yall's days were as nice as mine.
  23. My family and I ahve only ever done the dreaded Black Friday sales once, and I'd love to do it again. Sadly though I'm broker then three jokes lol. I might go with my cousin, just watch folks fall over themselves.
  24. I know a few different superstitions, basic ones mostly. Broken Mirror (can be lucky if your magically inclined) checking the window if a black cat cross infront of your car, and Owl or Crow nesting in a tree means that the owner of the property the tree is on will die suddenly, opening an umbrella in the house brings misfortune, salt over the left shoulder to ward off evil. I know lots mroe but I can't think of them right now.
  25. I've always loved Christmas myself. I go to sepdn Christmas Eve with my dad and his family. Its pretty cool, it means having to see my brother but that fact is redeemed by getting to see my aunt Jill and my Grandma, the two members of the family I get along most with. Its a small affair, only a few hours, but its nice. We have dinner and open gifts, sit and talk, its nice. Christmas with my moms family though is a little hectic. The entire side of my Mom's family that comes comprises around 20 some people with half that being kids under the age of 12. Its an all day event, we all get to my aunts around noon, have lunch, play board games, open gifts, play more games have supper and go home. I love the holidays cause its the only way that my entire family gets together in one place.
