    Chapter 2

That was incredibly erotic without being explicit. I really liked that. And what can i say; the man likes JD I kind of knew that he had this kind of history with Wylie from the previous comment but it was really nice to see that it had,at lease started sweetly

    Chapter 1

That was something fantastic. There was so much. I feel that I know John and I want to know Gordy. What the hell went on that not only left John with a broken heart but something else that had been left hanging like a shadow over the whole town. His mother talks as if he's dead or something... or that he's done a really bad thing, like gone to prison. Maybe he has. The dialogue is fluid and well written but it's the internal dialogue that really gets me. You might want to consider looking over the grammar but what the hell... who cares.

    Gordy Comes Home

Well you have to get an A+ for the brevity of your prologue. However, having said that it's one awesome hook. I love the way you speak about the measure of a man being in the way he copes with pain and bad times... and yeah, I know that's not exactly what you said... but it's what I read.

    Chapter 1

Fact is, you can't. But it wasn't Emily, it was never Emily... it was life.

    Effy's Home

I'm right there with you on that one... with a camera
  6. Sweet haircut.
  7. I have many names... can't remember what the first one was... oh yeah... but I'm not telling you, although if you read my blog you'll find out I guess I am too open sometimes. I have an urge to end my facebook account because i really got a shock from what Paya said about it giving access to my friends. I didn't realise that the fact that I am so open might cause problems for others. I figure that I am going to have to do something but don't really know what becasue i am so enmeshed in that there are people I only keep in contact with throught fb and I have a lot of family and friends there... hmm maybe I shoudl just serious fillett my friends list.
  8. When I met you in February what impressed me the most was your gentle, quiet confidence and beautiful smile. To be with you was to feel safe and protected. I guess that is not the biggest compliment to some but there you go. There was always something... a hint of something... not sad, but as if your inner light wasn't shining as brightly as it could. i am so so happy that you have found someone to make that light shine brighter and I hope that these first few happy steps will turn into many many many more. if there is anyone I can think of who deserves to be loved it is you. Bless the both of you. Do we get invites to the wedding
  9. Yes, indeed, I have commented tonight on another blog... there is nothing like a good dollop of perspective. Cancer is a scary word, especially as we get older and don't have as much energy to fight. They say that positive thinking and a lust for life helps and so I say, as I have always said... do what you need to do to make yourself happy and fulfilled and, if that means taking up the pipe again I would suspect that your wife would be happier with that than with you fading into a shadow. I know you are a strong and positive man and will not go quietly but whatever happens you have many friends and many memories and many of us sending our thoughts to bolster you and fight your fight along with you. Death comes to us all in the end... lets hope that he can be persuaded to bide a time. Perhaps a bribe might help. I hear he likes kittens
  10. There's nothing like getting a dollop of perspective with your Easter Egg. Thank you for sharing. I hope that, at least the Summer is a good time for you.

    Chapter 1

I would have warned against this one. It's an acquired taste. Thanks for leaving a review though.
  12. Thank you for that wonderful, thoughtful review. I'm glad you grew to appreciate River. He is often overlooked, I think; being in Silver's shadow in a way. I would caution you that not all my stories are like this. They are all very different in their own way and although they all tend to be emotional roller coasters some of them are very dark, violent and/or strange. Happy reading. There is one thing you can be sure of... with me there is always more
  13. Scarey I wrote a story about a girl called Amelie I thought I'd made it up Cuties
  14. This really is what social services is like. The problem is that the cases go before magistrates who are essentially muppets and it is like holding water in a sieve to win a case. Sometimes, when it is before a proper judge soc serv will get reminded that it is not their place to stand in judgement... but they do. they try the case before it starts and fit the facts to suit. You wouldn't believe how they twist things. it's terrifying. If they got involved in my life you can bet your life they would be using my stories against me. Meh. And as for the cut your wrists aspect... yeah... that's why i posted all the chapters together so you can get to the good parts without getting emotionally damaged by the rest. I tryly beleive that these parts are necessary to show the importance of what happens after but you can make your own mind up
  15. Nope... they're just like that. I have actually modelled her on an actual social worker I have worked with. As a person she's lovely but as someone whose job is often seen by the people she is trying to help (or should be) as sitting in judgement over them she really doesn't have the right look or the right manner. and the more unbelievable it gets the more you should bear in mind that this is pretty much a real case study
  16. Nope, but that's life. Nothing lasts, everything changes... sometimes for the better and sometimes not. I think I said somewhere... not sure where that River's parents rebelled a bit and didn't let them get their claws into Ben while they were alive. The worst they did was separate them and threw their spite at him about River being 'evil' which he never believed anyway. I guess River and Silver are both lost in their own ways never more so than in the next few weeks of their lives.
  17. I don't know where you come from but care in the community is huge here. My ex worked at one of these houses and I have a friend who still works there. Of course there are some good and some bad and, in some, the residents are abused but in most they are well cared of, if not as well as in this story I can't deny that some people would fall throught the gaps and end up on the streets, or even that a lot do but there are some out there like Julia and Silver who do get help. I'm glad that you like the story and that it provokes strong feelings in you. Thank you for taking time to review.
  18. We...ell if you think about it who do they really have. Dr Marshall for sure, Julia (a paranoid skitzofrenic (Okay I am so bad at spelling that word I figure I shoudl just go for it), Sam and his family, and... ? It might be a little unbelievable but I have based what happens to River and Silver in the Social Services system is based on a real case I have dealt with (minus the actual content of course. I have never met anyone like Silver and would never let him out of the bedroom if I did) Everything I have said here has happened to someone... and worse. Would you hate me if nothing bad happens to them? I figure that the fact they are so unsuccessful might be punishment enough They simply aren't worth bothering with
  19. You are, as always incredibly astute in your reading of the characters. That is spot on as far as their relationship is concerned but children have to grow up and I wonder how well they could do that with their mother forever picking them up and kissing their booboos. I think you will find that, yes, something will happen to River, it has to, and to Silver too... but I think that neither in the way you might expect
  20. Sorry hun but I don't do waking the dead.. well not in this story I never noticed the initial think that was wholly unconscious That's the lawyer coming out in you. Thanks for the comment as always
  21. Thank you for your thoughtful comment, which is always apprecaited. The doctor was based on a psychiatrist I know professionally. He's a bit of a nut job maybe but this is just something he would do I accept though that people who don't know him might find that strange. Thank you for your comment on the quality of my writing too I was very grateful
  22. I am not nervous. I have never been nervous when I perform. I know that all the others are there because I saw them. Ariel helped me dress and then led me down a set of back steps to the side of the stage. We arrive just in time to see Lewis dance. He is nervous I can tell. It’s there in the slight hesitations, the almost missed steps, the nearly stumbles and the occasional trembling when he holds position. He’s pretty good though. In fact, for an amateur he’s very good. The audience s
  23. Well, I'm well past boys now but, the long hair, piercings and make up look is SO SO SO me. I am just looking for someone who didn't grow out of it by 25 Long story short I like men who look like women and women who look like women... see a theme?
  24. There does, doesn't there Ariel is an angel. He's fun fun fun with a little fun thrown in. A boundless ball of energy and mischief but O God can he dance... and of course he's a whore, which isn't always a bundle of fun
