  1. I have to admit the thought scares the hell out of me. I mean I am a Valley Girl!!! Cardiff is a big scary city to me. NYC is the end of the earth and as for Las Vegas... I think I would just about die of fear... let alone my terror of flying (and that is a VERY real thing for me). I am going to need some promises of stiff whisky and big strong men making me feel safe when I get there.
  2. I want to see that commercial... well maybe not he Starbucks... perhaps a very sexy man or woman with a punt. ( I said punt it's a kind of boat )
  3. Beause there is a fear that if you don't hit first you get hit... and sometimes it's true, you do. But the times that you dont get hit you get a friend and one good friend is worth a million slaps in the face. Swords are forged in flame, the stronger the flame, the more blows of the hammer the stronger and sharper the blade
  4. Of course not... it would be tragic
  5. My son is dyslexic. He is almost nine and can't read at all. He is, however, extremely good at maths... except where it requires reading skills. He is by no mean dull His mind is like quicksilver and he is the most creative and imaginative person I know. He astounds me every day. However the school is not very good at dealing with children like him. They like to categorize too much and they can't 'help' him until they have 'labelled' him and they can't 'label' him because they think that it is wrong to label young children and so therefore he has only just this term started having the help he needs because apparently he is now old enough to be labelled and therefore get the help when he is so far behind it is taking a hell of a lot of work to catch up. You all know what I feel about labels... but honestly!!!
  6. I absolutely agree. All the forums I inhabit are littered with my rants about labelling. Although sometimes it can be useful... for example as a matter of personal choice to express yourself, or in order to obtain medical services and treaments... in general I am opposed to labelling. Like you said.. a great guy is a great guy period.
  7. Thank you. I am so low tech that sometimes I astound myself. I have my computer and that's all I play music on. I bought my daughter a swanky pink ipod but I don't really do technology.
  8. Well... I would LOVE to meet you guys. For me it's a matter of financing. My house is up for sale at the moment and if it sells before next summer I'm in.
  9. Sounds like fun
  10. I haven't thought of that one... I might just try it tonight... never know who or what I might find in there. Actually I have used my phone occasionally when I have been in deep darkness.. usually while in some gods forsaken place pretending to be an iron age celt. Mind you that was usually accompanied by a belly full of alcohol and so I am sure the light seemed a lot brighter than it was.
  11. Ga I cwpaned o de os gwelwch yn dda
  12. Nah... it's only in religion that thoughts count as deeds. As long as you keep them inside your head you'll be safe.... from the law that is
  13. Could you say that again in English?
  14. Nature has a very broad mind
  15. Glad to hear it.
  16. Eeewww. ANYWAY... Hope you had a great birthday anyway... and to hell with the miserable sods... keep up with the cute names because they are soooo cute. Hope you have a great trip and looking forward to the next blog... I LOVE care bears.

    New guy; new job?

I definately think that you have the right idea in keeping your current job until you have tried the other one out. Cold calling is very chancy... it might help to thoroughly research the product you are going to be selling and see if you can find out any demographics. There may be statistics you can find... the company should be prepared to give you theirs... for example what areas most of their sales come from... what rate of pick up there is etc etc. The Best of Luck... with the job and the man.... althought if you don't want him could you send him over the pond to me... doesn't even need to be gift wrapped
  18. It has always surprised me, especially when reading the stories on here... that people seem to be very careful about ensuring their characters wear condoms down below but never for oral sex. This is strange because anything you can catch from penetration you can get orally. Hmmm I wonder if it works the other way around though... if you give a bj with a sore throat does anything transmit the other way.
  19. How about death THEN redemption. There are no angels in the story yet. He could appear to Matt during the kidney transplant and tell him to give his heart to Cody
  20. Well... you know me... given the choice I ALWAYS vote for Death... he's a close personal friend after all
  21. Congratulations to everyone who got their entries together in time. We're all winners. We are all going to get our work read carefully and critically and by a wider audience that we normally would and (I hope) we all had a lot of fun getting the work done and out there. So, yay us!!! The best writers have already won so my wishes will be with the judges... may the judges not have too many nervous breakdowns choosing the winner. Good luck everyone!!!
  22. I bet I could change your mind And after reading her account I'm damned sure Sandy could Maybe you're just not doing enough of it... you need to practice, practice, practice
  23. No, but I find it easier to write and speak Welsh sometimes... even though I am not fluent... as Welsh is an entirely phoenetic language and doesn't have all the strange spellings that English does.
