My personal record is 120 and I'mnot proud of it. It was the first time I ever had a brand new car and I was just power crazy. It was a long empty stretch of road early in the morning and I didn't even notice I was going that fast because of the change from driving stupid old wrecks to having a fabulous new bitch under me. I was on my way to the first day of a new job and I was being a complete ass. I don't recommend it to anyone and it scared the shit out of me when I noticed. 90 - 100 is common place for me on motorways especially on long journeys and I have to specifically concentrate to keep the speed under 80. I have been caught speeding 4 times so far but not recently so I must be slowing down in my old age.

Hehe. Yeah... I'm of the fast and furious type too... and have the points of my license to prove it. *sigh* I hate speed cameras.

No, I wouldn't be offended if someone found anything offensive... it's their right to do so. I would be sad that they felt that way... because I think that people get offended way too easily and it throws up artificial boundaries... but as long as they don't try foisting their personal opinion on me, or anyone else, and they don't make harmful judgements then that's their business not mine. Personally I don't like watching passionate kisses, whoever is involved. I feel that this is something very personal and it makes me uncomfortable... that is my opinion. It doesn't mean that if I saw someone kissing passionately in public I would judge them because of the way I feel...well unless it was my daughter of course... everyone knows that parents (ie your parents) and children (ie your children irrespective of age... mine is 23) don't do sex

Yes and I didn't like it. I don't do well it hot environments. I like to generate my own heat

I have fallen asleep in the bath more times than I can mention. Still not dead I used to have a corner bath big enough for an entire family. When my son was baby the three of us...me his dad and him, would bath together and it was great. I don't like having sex in the bath though... too clumsy. I prefer the shower for that.... or better still outside in a thunder storm

It took me ages to work out what was expected but when I did the test got 100%

I, like all authors can be incredibly sensitive about my work. When I see I have a new review I am rediculously excited and if someone actually comments in the discussion thread... WOW. If the comments are negative then it depends in what context. If someone is saying they just don't like the story or don't understand parts of it or have constructive criticism then that's fine. For example a wise sage of the forum once commented on my style of writing unbroken dialogue. I took it to heart, reviewed my writing and now make a conscious effort to put plenty of breaks in there, except when the story requires it. On the other hand I have been told not to bother writing vampire stories as the market is dominated by a certain writer and no one is going to bother reading mine That I ignored. If someone, or more than one person was consistently trashing my work for no reason other than to be spiteful or negative for the sake of it then I think it would hurt, and hurt a lot. I would try to talk to them, find out what their motivation was and reason with them. If that didn't work I'd resort to threats and if that didn't work I would probably turn them all into frogs and the laws of conservation of mass be damned :)

I've named every car I've had, does that count? My favourite was Daisy a Mini Clubman painted organge with white daisies stencilled all over her. I used to have kids running down the street after her laughing. I didn't laugh when, half way through a very long journey the driver's door fell off when I opened it at the Services. Don't know if she cried... but I did

Connecting the Dots

Your cat and my cat could be related. -
That is a very powerful, thought provoking and well thought out piece of writing. I don't agree with your conclusions. I don't believe what you believe. But I can respect your beliefs, your thoughts and your conclusions because they are intelligent and well presented ones. Thank you for giving me something to think about and something to cling to when I am lost in anger.

It's a variation to those which sadly fly off the back of passing trucks and lie in the road in danger of being run over by other traffic. I tend to find a few of them lying around now and again and... as you said it would simply be implicit support of littering if I just left them lying there. Besides, if they got broken they could have sharp edges that would hurt the paws of puppies and kittens, so I just HAVE to pick them up.

I don't know if I can say that there is any book that has changed my life as such... I mean there are books that have gripped me and held me, and books that have stayed with me for years but changed my life? I don't know... I suppose the book that made the biggest change to my life was the Bible... and I don't admit THAT too readily. I was not brouht up in a religious home but at I accepted everything I was told in school, tv etc...and then at about sixteen I actually read the Bible. I read every word and I got angry. I began to question everything and everyone. However, it was not until I was in my early twenties that I actually started to think about the questions and the answers I was receiving and started reaching conclusions. I haven't looked back since. I have been through rabidly anti christian and anti christianity phases both of which I fully apprecaite are hypocritical and fruitless and come to an uneasy truce after a lifetime of struggle which all began with a book... so I guess yeah that Book certainly changed my life.

Loving the purple hair... mine was that colour for a while... then it was blue then green then a different green which I really like so am sticking to for a while. I also love the sword. Do you use it or is it just for decoration?

Depends what you mean by 'bone'. I have been known to fall in love with a number of kinds. I particuarly love the sheep skull I have secured to one of my staffs with green and red ribbon decorated with vertebrae. She's called Briede and she's beautiful. I also like the fox skull and the horse jawbone my son found and cleaned and which are lying on my hearth. As for the other kind of bone... well, let's just say.... that I find it extremely difficult to speak about it... ie it's hard to get my mouth around... or should that be the other way around.

Ah.... so that's what a fanny pack is. hehe

If the same thing happens over and over again and it always turns out wrong then, to me, that only means one thing... that it's happening for a reason... to teach you something that you need to learn. If you can figure out what that is then you will be on the way to learning it and those situations won't keep arising. Only you can figure it out because only you know. Obviously there is something that is going wrong on a pretty basic level. I don't want to sound as though I am trivialising your situation but sometimes it can help to break things down to a trivial level... such as... behaviour patterns, strengths, weaknesses, strong points, stumbling points etc. Kind of like in a business when you do a SWOT and SMART analysis. Do things always go wrong at the same point? If so what is that point, what leads up it, how do you deal with it. Are you too eager... too hesitant? Are you too uptight? Too needy? Too confident? Too standoffish? Do you unconsciously push people away because you are afraid they are going to leave anyway? I am not suggesting that you ARE any of these things just giving examples of things to look at. One thing that often goes wrong is that people make incorrect assumptions.... he MUST know I like him... he MUST be aware that I want him to ask me out. Sometimes people don't like to presume or don't pick up messages becuase they are unsure themselves. I don't know the answers. I'm still looking for them myself. I just want to help... because that's my nature.

Hey there and Happy Birthday. At the moment my TV is on playing Hannah Montana... just because I haven't had the energy to turn it over since my son went off to his friend. Talk about revealing too much eh? I am a family lawyer so I get to see all kinds of child abuse on a daily basis. I was never neglected but I was sexually abused and so I do have some first hand knowledge and a lot of second hand knowledge of all the forms of abuse from my clients. is there ever an excuse? Hell yeah... there are loads of excuses, I hear them every day but is there ever a good reason? Never. Child abuse affects everyone, not just the child... the whole family, friends, anyone that child has a relationship then or in the future. Not all abuse is deliberate, in fact some of the worse is not. Actually, come to think of it I think I WAS neglected, in a way. When I told my mother that I was being sexually abused and had been for years, raped, assaulted, emotionally numbed and assaulted on almost a daily basis... her response was... you're fifteen now old enough to cope with it yourself, just don't let yourself get into that position again... and don't tell you're father or the whole family will be upset. For years she sent the abuser (a family member) Christmas and Birthday cards in my name and told me I was a trouble maker when I didn't want to sit next to him the car at my grandmother's funeral. As we got in he fondled me, as we got out he put his hand up my skirt and no one noticed... probably because they didn't want to... so yeah, I suppose that was a form of neglect and know what... now, years later it is that and not the abuse itself which hurts most. I, too have a habit of being very open, more than is good for me so I know where you're coming from... but I would rather it be that way. I don't keep anything inside any more. Let it all hang out I say, for better or worse. I am happy now, at peace with myself, my mother, my family and the person who abused me (who is now dead). I hope you are too... if not it will come as long as you let it. Abuse is never good but sometimes, if you let it, it makes you stronger. Blessings.
