This is a collection of short stories about supporting characters and antagonists from my novel Nemesis. It's probably not necessary to read Nemesis to enjoy these, but if you intend to read Nemesis you should probably do so first, as this contains spoilers.

In the land between the rivers, near the banks of the river Tigris, lies a sleepy village where something dark is stirring. Epheriel, the angel assigned to watch over this village, senses hatred and ill will toward the village hero Jair, though it knows not from whom. Epheriel wants to protect Jair, who is the most beautiful mortal it has ever seen, but is it worth revealing divinity and risking the wrath of Heaven?

It is a truth universally acknowledged that Geralt of Rivia will plough anything with breasts. This is not entirely correct. As it happens, breasts are optional. Yours truly, Dandelion the bard, knows this both from first hand accounts, and from . . . personal experience. The following manuscript is, of course, for my own eyes only.

When Jake’s brother dies, his mother is convinced that Jake killed him, and he ends up in a foster care institution. The worst part is that Jake can’t remember what happened the night his brother died. The only cure for his nightmares and anxiety appears to be his roommate Alex, but Alex has demons of his own.

Jacob doesn't really like Oliver, but somehow he seems to be his first for almost everything. Marcus hates his life, and his dad, and pretty much everything in his dreary industrial town, but makes a go at trying out new things anyway. Two short stories set before The F*cking Trilogy. Contains gratuitous swearing.

In Devon’s world, love is free and sex is fun. Unfortunately, not everyone shares his openness, which is really inconvenient when he finds himself deeply attracted to a former fling’s boyfriend. Maybe there is a chance, though. After all, things have a tendency to turn out okay in the end for Devon.

‘But, Ronan . . .’

‘Hm?’

‘You’re gay.’ Andi hears the quaver of his own voice and clears his throat again.

‘Yeah,’ Ronan says slowly. ‘And you’re a guy.’

Ronan has been there for Andi since he began his transition. Now he wants to come visit and Andi is overjoyed, but he can't quite bring himself to believe that Ronan is truly interested in him, when his body isn't exactly what most gay men would want.

Marcus is the maladjusted, borderline sadistic and really quite brilliant editor-in-chief of the campus newspaper, and Jacob wants him. The only problem is that Jacob is just about as maladjusted and out of touch as the object of his desire. Contains gratuitous swearing and a bit of a masochist kink. Part 1 of The F*cking Trilogy

Marcus and Jacob have been at it for four months, but now people are starting to figure it out and it's threatening the delicate balance of their relationship. Marcus is preoccupied with writing his dissertation, and Jacob is even more angry than usual. Contains gratuitous swearing, some mild masochism and just a touch of violence. Part 3 of The F*cking Trilogy.

Dating your boss can be complicated, even more so when your relationship can hardly be called conventional. But Lance seems determined to give Keenan a Christmas gift he won't soon forget, and who is Keenan to complain?
