Growing up happens differently for everyone. Finding yourself takes time, and for some of us it's not an easy process. Sometimes it can happen fast, all too fast. Sometimes we let parts of ourselves stray behind. Sometimes things must get worse before they can get better. Sometimes much, much worse. But these are the things that define us. That much, at least, St. John Allerdyce knows. But it's one thing to know something and another to live through it.

An offering of poems for National Poetry Writing Month; April 2022. Some were composed in response to prompts provided to me, others not.

Life is full of twists and turns, both expected and unexpected, wondrous and excruciating. This year’s poems for National Poetry Writing Month will embrace the curveballs life throws at us and also serve as an exploration and raw portrayal of the grieving process. Follow me, and we’ll see what’s around the bend.

A random collection of thoughts, poems, words, whatever.

Every day after school, young Zack runs home after his last class, hoping to avoid his abusive father's rage and avoid anymore physical and emotional bruises at home. It isn't until he meets a beautiful stranger at school that he begins to wonder whether or not he's worth anything at all. Can he live in one world and fantasize about the other? Or will he have to choose?

Ridley wants a lot of things. To be left alone, for people to forget a stupid nickname, and for time to stop and rewind two years. What he doesn't want is to be featured in the school paper.

Human beings have now evolved. And they are now able to unlock more of the potential of their powerful minds. Discriminated as Mentals, they are oppressed by other humans in fear that they would be a threat to all of mankind. With a world that is transitioning into a new age, what is in store for the young Kieran?
