The Peacher empire needs Justin Peacher-White and he rises to the challenge. But it means moving job, partner and child to the Rothenian capital, Strelzen. It goes off better than he has a right to expect, but what he doesn’t realise is that an implacable enemy is on his trail, and the very existence of Rothenia is in the balance. Fortunately he has unlikely allies in the shape of two way-out monks and a fifteenth-century countess.

Barnegat Bay is a romance, which starts on the Jersey shore in the summer of 1932. It focuses on its narrator, Doc, and his friends Mike, Larry, Al, and Spence, summer lifeguards soon headed into their senior year at CCNY -- the City College of New York. This is in the uncertain times and job market of the still early years of the Great Depression, just before Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected. Joining the guys are Mary and Claire, local to the area but no less ambitious for their lives, and in fairly close by New York City, Doc's parents.

It may initially seem an odd book for this site, but, believe me, it's not.

Tucked away in the southeast corner of Tennessee is a small town called Minor Springs.

Tristan is a bullied teen who spends his days (and nights) plotting his escape.

Finn has it all - popularity, money and the perfect girlfriend - but feels the town is closing in around him.

As Minor Springs threatens to destroy them both, they will find refuge in an abandoned clubhouse in the woods separating their two worlds.

April is National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo), and the challenge is to write 30 poems (one per day) throughout the month. This year, I decided to do something a little different. Each day (or every other day, depending on my mood) I will write a 'postcard'--a short poem about my daily dealings with the COVID-19 pandemic. I will also write other poems as the mood (and daily prompts) strike me. I think it will be an interesting exercise to see how the poems change across the course of the month.

Following Jan Hutchinson's suggestion I'm writing postcard poems to answer Val's.
