My work is driven by my characters gleefully taking on lives of their own and dragging me along with my notepad and pen at the ready. Even if, to paraphrase Stephen King, you take ordinary people and throw them into extraordinary circumstances to see how they respond, I prefer realism, stories that could be happening right now with your neighbors, your friends, your family, or even you. And since my characters don't always give me a happy ending, I can't always give you one. Which is about as real as it gets.

Jeff Burton is a storyteller who loves exploring the messy, thrilling, and sometimes hilarious corners of life. His work spans contemporary YA, queer romance, satirical comedy, and speculative fiction, from small-town drama and high school football fields to distant galaxies and modern twists on legendary myths.

He writes about love, identity, and the chaos that comes when people are forced to face themselves and each other, blending humor, heart, and high-stakes adventure in ways that make readers laugh, cry, or sit on the edge of their seats — sometimes all at once.

Ronyx is the creator and author of the gay teen story site, The Mustard Jar. His goal when he started a decade ago was to write stories that covered the real issues gay teens face. Ronyx hopes his stories speak to those needing advice or help dealing with a problem.

Valkyrie is new to fiction writing and finished her first serial in May 2014. Her work generally centers on flawed individuals who tend to go through some pretty tough times before reaching their happily ever after; if indeed, they do reach it. She is a big fan of animals, especially cats and horses, and they feature in quite a few of her stories. She is also a fan of sappy romance; although she tries to keep that to a minimum in her writing.
