The two stories I've authored thus far, WORKING IT OUT and BELOVED, can be classified as "growing up gay" works, I think. The protagonist(s) are outed or come out to family and friends, sometimes moving from questionable support or lack of support for their orientation among significant others into strong commitments which permit them to mentor others. Religious affiliations of the heroes and their real or adoptive families are portrayed as supportive of gays, who often seek formal recognition .

Literally everything that I had in my author bio before turned out to be wrong XD I guess it's still too early in my writing career for me to say what my stories will be like!

A proud father of four, Headstall's personal journey has been a series of twists and turns, and his stories often reflect his experiences. He is an unapologetic romantic who writes from the heart. Jon is a single blue-collar worker who enjoys watching Marvel movies, reading non-fiction history books as well as his many DragonLance and Dragon Riders of Pern books. He's typically sitting comfortably on his sofa with one or two of his black cats hanging around nearby.

Sometimes the hardest thing, some of us can do is to express ourselves using words. Where do you start? Where do you end? And why does it even matter? It matters. My work is strung together from past experiences, mixed with a little fiction, and a lot of emotion. It is my way of over coming a life long inability to express myself with words, to finally be able to answer the question of "Hey what's wrong?" with something other than "nothing."
