The Neverending Book - 20. Self

~Self~

 

You cannot be yourself when you do not know who you are.
You will never get anywhere. You can never go far.
You will be stuck in this muck, right here with no cheer,
With this page in this cage, in old age, in this atmosphere.
Self discovery is the road to recovery.
That is the only way you will appeal. That is the only way you will ever heal. But, only, if you are real.
You can not produce magic when you are being inauthentic.
Do you think that you can?
It will destroy your plan.
Why? You know the answer that question.
If you do not, then, this page will mention.
Even if you get there, Be aware.
If you are doing something untrue, to yourself, you will despair.
Take this page seriously & never make anything fake for your own sake.
Don’t you dare.
Just, take care of your TRUE SELF no matter where,
You go.
Anywhere,
Everywhere,
And, you will get there,
Otherwise, you will always go nowhere...

Your poems are inspiring - maybe because so many of hem hit home and I relate to them 💫⚡️  I’m actually writing one myself now - should be interesting as it’s the first time I’ve written anything outside of papers for school or work....

Your comments mean alot. These are actually random pages I have selected to share on this site from the 9 Volume book series that I am working on. Remember Johnny Applebee’s Books He’s writing? they’re actually mine.🌙The entire sequence rhymes. Each page is a lesson to aid the reader with whatever it is they are going through and assist them. Whatever the title of the page is, is what the page will be about.

I agree all your poems have a symbolic value on human condition. How you effectively seep into other peoples lives with such each, openness and familiarity is what makes your work so special.
