Timber Pack Chronicles - 11. Chapter 11

Parker pulled a stack of dishes from the cupboard and shut it. He grabbed silverware for four place settings and set it on top of the plates.

“Use the nice plates, Parker.”

“Oh. Right. Sure, Mom.”

Parker put their everyday plates back into the cupboard and grabbed the “fancy” ones instead. He was excited about having Colton over for dinner, but he was nervous, too. He really wanted his parents to like his boyfriend.

After setting the table, he stared out the window into the back yard. He hadn’t seen the wolf again since the other night. He had meant to tell Colton about it, but there were always people around or they were busy doing… stuff. Parker felt his face flush at the memory of the last time he saw the big jock, just last night. They had practically done it in the back seat of Colton’s car.

The doorbell pulled him from his memories.

“I got it,” he called out.

He hurried to the front door and opened it for his man.

“Hi,” Parker whispered.

“Hi, yourself,” Colton replied.

“Come on in.”

Colton looked back and forth and when he saw they were alone, he leaned down and gave Parker a quick kiss on the lips, then rubbed his goatee on the tip of Parker’s nose.

Parker led Colton to the kitchen. His mother was pulling a bag of steamed vegetables from the microwave.

Kate Montgomery looked up as they walked in. “Colton, it’s good to see you again.”

“You too, Mrs. Montgomery.”

“Parker, why don’t you go get your father? Dinner will be ready in just a minute.”

Parker’s dad walked in, tucking his BlackBerry into his belt holster. “I thought I heard the doorbell.” He held out his hand to Colton. “Barney Montgomery.”

“I’m Colton Butler. Nice to meet you, Mr. Montgomery.”

Colton shook Barney’s outstretched hand. Parker’s dad seemed to flinch at the strength of Colton’s handshake. The older man turned his gaze away from Colton as he pulled his hand away. Parker couldn’t help but smile a little bit. His dad had a bit of a Napoleon complex and wasn’t easily intimidated. The fact that Colton made him unsettled made Parker… proud.

They had just started eating when Colton spoke. “Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery, are you going to be able to make it to the fall festival this weekend?”

Parker looked up and glanced at his parents. “That’s the school’s code for Halloween, but sanitized for our protection.”

“I have work to do in the office,” Barney said before glancing back down at his phone.

“I’m on a new case, so I probably won’t be able to make it,” Kate echoed.

“Well, it’s for a good cause,” Colton pressed. “The boosters are trying to raise money for our trip to state. You know, our last home game is coming up. You should come see Parker. The crowd loves him, and he kills at half-time.”

“Colton,” Parker mumbled, kicking his leg under the table.

“We’ll see,” Kate said, closing the subject.

Dinner wasn’t terribly awkward. It went a lot better than Parker thought it would. He was sure that Colton was on what he thought was his best behavior. He was laying on the charm pretty thick, trying to engage Parker’s parents in small talk. Parker’s father didn’t seem to be buying it. Even so, Parker judged the dinner a success.

After Parker and Colton cleaned up the dishes, they went out to the back deck.

“Nice pool,” Colton said.

“Yeah, it’s pretty nice. It’s not real big, but I like to do laps and it works okay for that.”

“You’re in great shape, pup.”

“Not like you. You’re built like a Greek god.”

“You’re just right. As far as I’m concerned, you’re perfect.”

Parker wasn’t fishing for a compliment, but he was happy to get it. “Do you wanna swim for a bit?”

“Sure. Wait — it’s heated, right?”

“Yeah.”

“Good. I wouldn’t want to freeze my nuts off.” Colton wiggled his eyebrows at Parker. “Ah, shit. I don’t have a swim suit.”

“You can borrow one of mine.”

Colton raised an eyebrow and looked down at Parker. “No offense, pup, but you’re a little guy.”

“I have a couple of big and baggy ones. They might fit.”

“Okay.”

After Parker turned on the pool pump and the heater, Colton followed him up the stairs to his bedroom.

Parker rummaged through his drawers and found a pair of board shorts that were way too big for him. He handed them to Colton, who was already stripped down naked.

Parker nearly swallowed his tongue. His boyfriend had zero sense of modesty. Parker wanted to scrape his fingers down through the dark curls of hair on that magnificent chest. He wanted to slide his tongue along the grooves of his sculpted eight-pack abs. And, my god, that beast hanging between his legs…

“What are you waiting for, pup?” Colton asked as he struggled to hike the board shorts up.

“You’re all naked,” Parker muttered as he turned around and started to undress.

“Yeah. I kinda have to get naked to change shorts. Besides, it’s nothing you haven’t already seen.”

Parker turned around quickly and pulled up his swim trunks. When he turned around his jaw dropped.

“They’re pretty tight,” Colton said as he tugged at the crotch of the skin-tight shorts. He tugged at the hem of each leg, trying to give himself a little more room in the crotch.

“Uh, yeah. I can see the outline of your junk.”

“Like I said, it’s nothing you haven’t already seen.” Colton dropped his voice to a whisper. “Or tasted.”

“Colt,” Parker warned. “My parents are home.”

The blushing teen grabbed a pair of towels from his bathroom and the pair made their way back downstairs and out to the pool.

Colton ran around to the deep end and jumped in, cannonball style, with a loud “woop!”

Parker descended the stairs slowly, getting used to the water. He yelped when Colton swooped in and yanked him into the water. He came up sputtering and laughing, “You’re a jerk!”

Colton laughed and took off. His big body moved clumsily through the water and Parker easily caught him. Parker climbed onto his back and managed to dunk him under the water. Colton jumped out of the water, ran to the diving board and did another cannonball, landing right next to Parker. Parker let out a yelp in surprise as Colton’s splash doused his face.

“Truce,” Parker sputtered.

Colton smiled happily. “I win. I think that deserves a kiss.”

Parker looked around and moved close to Colton and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

Parker rubbed his fingers around the outline of Colton’s wolf tattoo, then pressed them to the wolf necklace around his neck.

“I saw a wolf,” Parker said. “A real wolf.”

Colton tilted his head and furrowed his brows. “Yeah? Where?”

“In the backyard, just over there.”

“No shit. Did you call animal control or something?”

“No. Actually, I petted him and played with him a little. I think he’s a research animal or something. He was really comfortable around people. He was huge and all black. He was beautiful, Colton. The most magnificent creature I have ever seen. I wish you could have seen him. I know he’s a wild animal and all, but he was so gentle.”

Colton grinned. “You’ve only seen him the one time?”

“Yeah. I think he lives close, though, because a couple of times I thought I saw him hiding by the trees.” Parker studied Colton for a moment. “I thought you’d be upset.”

“Why?”

“You’re kind of… No, not ‘kind of.’ You are very over-protective of me.”

Colton chuckled. “That I am.” Colton gave Parker a quick kiss. “Let’s race.”

“Okay. Go!” Parker shouted as he took off.

“Cheater,” Colton growled.

They swam several laps, until Colton gave up. He couldn’t beat Parker. Parker was a more experienced swimmer, plus he was smaller and lighter.

“I win,” Parker said. “Again.” He was smiling and panting, quite pleased with himself.

Colton shrugged. “Whatever.”

Parker snickered. “Sore loser.”

“I’m not a sore loser,” Colton growled. “I like to win. You’re good. You should have joined the swim team. Why didn’t you?”

“I was going to, but… Well, last year there were rumors about me. The coach didn’t let me try out. He said I was too disruptive.” Parker didn’t say anything for a moment, then he looked up into Colton’s eyes. “You heard them when you moved here, I’m sure.”

“The first time I heard someone call you a fag behind your back, I beat the shit out of him.”

Parker blinked in surprise, his mouth agape. “You did?”

“I did. And he deserved it.”

Again Parker was surprised. Was Colton talking about that fight with Seth last year? Had Colton fought Seth over Parker?

“But you didn’t need me to fight for you. You held your head high and didn’t let them beat you. They called you names and you lifted your chin and said ‘yeah, I am, so what?’ That’s courage. I am so proud of you, pup.”

Parker’s smile dropped and he blinked, staring at Colton in surprise. “You are?”

“Hell, yeah. You’re amazing.”

Parker’s grin lit up the yard. “Thanks.”

The corner of Colton’s mouth turned up. “But since I let you win, you know what that means? That means you have to put out.”

“You didn’t let me win. I beat you fair and sq—”

Colton pinned Parker against the wall of the pool’s deep end, just under the diving board, and kissed him, taking the words of protest from his mouth. Colton’s strong arms held onto the concrete edge of the pool while Parker’s hands gripped Colton’s trim waist.

Parker breathed in soft pants as he stared into his bigger boyfriend’s dark eyes.

Parker’s eyes closed as Colton leaned in once more. Colton’s tongue slid into Parker’s willing mouth. Colton slowly ground his hips against Parker, rubbing his erection against Parker’s.

They were so caught up in making out, they missed the approaching footsteps.

Ahem.”

Colton pulled away from Parker and began treading water. Parker looked up at his father and wanted to sink underneath the water. Maybe the drain would open up and suck him in.

“It’s getting late,” Barney said in short, clipped tones. “Time for your… friend… to go home.”

Barney’s eyes cut disapprovingly towards Colton, before he turned on his heels and went back into the house.

“I’m sorry, pup,” Colton whispered. “I just lose control when I’m around you.”

“It’s okay. I have the same problem.”

They got out of the pool and dried off. Parker couldn’t help but notice the outline of Colton’s semi-erect cock in the way-too-small trunks. It looked painful. His wet chest hair clung to his pec muscles. Parker watched droplets of water drip down amongst the hair on his chest and abs. He wanted to lick the water away, then drop to his knees and suck Colton off.

Parker and Colton went inside, past his father, who was standing in the kitchen sipping a cup of coffee while reading email on his BlackBerry.

Once upstairs, they stripped off their swimsuits.

“God, you look hot,” Parker moaned as he took in Colton’s perfect body. He could never get enough of seeing his boyfriend naked.

Parker’s eyes on his body had Colton’s cock pulsing back to full erection within seconds. Colton stepped forward, his voice dropped to a whisper. “Do you think we have time to take care of this?” He pressed his cock into Parker’s belly. “I can be quick. You got me close out there.”

Parker nodded and dropped down to his knees. He gripped his own dick as he grabbed Colton’s. Colton was leaking copious amounts of pre-come and Parker quickly scooped away the sweet, dripping liquid with his tongue. No sooner had he taken Colton into his mouth and started to suck and stroke when he heard his dad calling from the bottom of the stairs.

Parker.”

Colton pulled Parker to his feet. He spit into his palm and grabbed Parker’s dick. Parker reciprocated. They kissed madly and passionately as they stroked each other. It didn’t take more than a few seconds for Colton’s skilled hand to bring Parker to a quick climax. As Parker’s load spurted all over Colton’s hand, Colton groaned into Parker’s mouth. Bursts of hot ropey come splattered against their bellies.

They wiped down with the towels and pulled their clothes on just as the bedroom door opened.

“It’s time for Colton to go, Parker,” he said. He frowned at the pair, then turned and walked away, making a point to leave the bedroom door wide open.

“I’m sorry,” Parker whispered to his boyfriend, feeling embarrassed and humiliated.

“Don’t be sorry, pup.”

“I’ll walk you out.”

“One day we’ll have our own place. Just the two of us. Then no one will bother us.”

Parker looked up at Colton with the happiest smile on his face. Colton talked like they had a future together.

* * * *

Parker looked up from his desk when his door opened and then closed. God, he wished his dad would learn to knock. He marked his place in his civics book and shut it.

Barney’s cheeks were red with what seemed to be embarrassment. He couldn’t look Parker in the eye. He stepped forward and handed Parker a stack of papers.

Parker looked at the sheet on top which had a diagram of the male reproductive system. He prayed the floor would open and swallow him whole. They’d already had the ‘sex talk’ when he was thirteen. When his dad had barged in on him jerking off. God, he wanted to die then and he’d sooner die now than talk to his dad about this.

Barney cleared his throat. “Is he—” His voice croaked. “Are you…”

“Oh my god, Dad, please don’t,” Parker pleaded, so not wanting to have this conversation.

Barney let out a deep breath, his voice turning to steel. “Guys like Colton Butler want one thing and they’ll do anything to get it. Don’t fool yourself into thinking he gives a damn about you. I’m not gonna forbid you to see him, because I know that’ll just drive you right to him. But I want you to really think about this. Think about your reputation. Do you want the town to think of you as some punk’s bitch? Read the stuff I printed out.”

His father left his room, shutting the door behind him.

That was probably the longest conversation he had ever had with his dad since he was a kid.

Parker did think about it, though. He knew that his dad was wrong. Colton Butler did care about Parker and frankly, he didn’t care what the town thought of him. He only cared what Colton thought of him.

He flipped the page, noting the photo of some unfortunate man’s disease-riddled junk. “Oh my god, gross.”

He shuddered as he tossed the papers into his trash can.

Poor Parker. HIs parents are so disinterested, yet controlling. I don't think it'll get better at all. Some big confrontations to come I'm sure.

To quote the Fresh Prince "Parents just don't Understand". Parker's dad means well. But good Lawd, these two are clueless and so dis-engaged from their son. And when something happens, they're be the ones standing around wondering what went wrong. Parker likes the wolf, which bodes well for his reaction when he finds out the wolf is Colton. Well, after he has the requisite Freak OUT. haha.

For as disengaged and disapproving as Parker's parents seem to be, he got off pretty easy on that talk with his dad. The "talk," is always going to be awkward and sure, the last thing you want to hear is your dad's advice on being "some punk's bitch," but he didn't scream and yell, didn't kick him out on the street and didn't even say anything negative about Parker being gay. At least his dad wants him to be safe and to make good choices, even if he didn't communicate that in a loving manner.

It was sweet of Colton to try to engage Parker's parents. The school year needs to end lol. Those two can't keep their hands off each other for even a minute

Typical, two boys that need more information, especially Colton, but they are avoiding it.  Parents are afraid of feeling awkward but when did that ever kill anybody?  Colton knows he needs to talk to his dad but isn't taking the opportunity.  This is more than a chance to commiserate with the teens, to get mad, or just chuckle at the parents.  We all should take this as a challenge to commit to doing the sex talk better for our kids' sake.  As an adult, parent, or mentor, be that safe resource that beats the socks off the schools or squeamish adults.  A lack of information and talking about relationship dynamics is often where teen STDs, body shaming, and partner abuse start, verbal or physical.  Ugh, I got a bad feeling that Colton is going to lose control and Parker is going to lose any choice in this.  :(  ~ Ms. V

P.S. Sorry for the rant.  That's how invested I've become in these characters.

Homophobic asshat !!

Daddy Montgomery hasn't earned the right to bitch about his son's choices - he doesn't care about him, who he is, what his feelings are. He knows nothing about him as a man and doesn't bother to know about the person he loves.

Like his ice-queen wife, he thinks his son is there to be their maid and perhaps to take over his business when he is older ?

I wonder, through what agency have these two cohabitees once reached the point of making the beast with two backs ? It would be a waste of time for them, or maybe not, if dad could txt the ice queen that he was coming ... She, of course would have to consult her mobile how to go about it 🤨

Talk about cold uncaring people the mr and Mrs. Montgomery are, I am surprised that they actually had time in their busy, self absorbed lives to even have Parker, they cannot be called parents because they clearly aren’t interested in their son.

First time I'm reading this story. Yeah, I'm the Johnny-come-lately here... I'm still going to give my observations and thoughts about the story.

I normally don't read gay stories that have to have sex in every chapter. I understand that this story was written back in those days that a gay author simply had to have sex in his stories or the readers simply stopped reading. Still, there is a plot here and there is character development. So much can be forgiven in reading the story in this day and age.

There are types of people that simply have to have 'trophies,' as spouses. The Trophy Wife; The Trophy Husband; even The Trophy Child (or children). Sad but true that certain aspects of our society demand this. Here, I believe that the Montgomery's are 'trophies' to each other. I'm even betting that Parker was their trophy child, right up to the time he came out to the parents. I suspect the only time the parents paid attention to Parker was when they trotted him out to their 'friends.' When Parker came out, even that stopped.

From what we've learned about the makeup of this household so far, it makes a lot of sense to me. Not sure if Rob was actually writing this in that manner, however, everything dove-tails if one thinks of Parker's life in this manner. As more of this story is revealed, my thoughts could change.

As it stands, I'm enjoying this little romp through the werewolves realm!

I sure hope that Colton isn't procrastinating in telling his dad because he's not sure how the dad and his Alpha will react. That Colton appears to be a budding Alpha himself, could set up an interesting future with this Pack.

Definition of distant, uncaring parents? They give the "sex talk" by handing out a bunch of computer printouts then walking off with a disdainful look.

I hope that Parker telling Colton about the beautiful wolf encounter will give Colton the courage to finally go talk with his father, then to Parker.  Great writing with the tension of the dysfunctional parents blazing through for all to see.
