It's time!!! For everyone that has been waiting, we've got 10 brand new stories for you to take a look at. After you've read all the stories, make sure to vote for your favorite. The winners will be announced on April 1st, 2017. The top three stories will receive not only the recognition, but the following prizes:

1st Place

6 month Premium access

2nd Place

3 month Premium access

3rd Place

1 Month Premium access

Reminder

Authors and editing/beta teams are prohibited from revealing the author behind each story. Revealing the authors' identity will disqualify the story in question.

Voting Procedure

We are going with a blind vote for this contest. Neither the voter, nor the staff member collecting the votes will know which author wrote which story. All stories have been posted under the author name of Anonymous Jester. The only site member/staff that knows the identity of each story's author is Renee Stevens. Reader1810 has willingly volunteered to collect votes. After you've read all 10 stories, PM the story name you'd like to vote for to Reader and use the subject April Fools Vote.

Members get to vote for one story. Please wait to vote for your choice until you have read all the stories and are certain as to which story you'd like to vote for.

Voting will conclude at 2:00 PM EST on March 25th, 2017. No votes will be accepted after that time.

Now, onto the stories!

I finished them all.  :)  There's some really good stories.  Now to decide which one to vote for...

I've only read the first one so far, so I have a ways to go. I'm looking forward to all the great stories!

I love guessing the author and voting contests. Will we be guessing the author also?

Thanks for doing all this for us, Renee! :) And thanks to Reader for counting the votes. :)

Once the voting is over, there will be a guessing game :)

Yay, guessing! I started my list, but now I must decide if I should go with my hunches and regard certain reviews as an attempt to mislead... Sneaky authors is nothing new. LOL

Based on genre/descriptions there are some stories which don't appeal to me so I'll be skipping them. I've read a handful of the other ones and there's one which shines above the others. Still need to read some more but so far I know which one will get my vote if I were to cast it right now.

I'm trying to guess which ones you mean, but I'm failing. I didn't like all of them the same, but I don't think I could have told so from the genre or description.

Pup, I was looking at the reviews with that in mind. Now you have me wondering if we really do have such sneaky authors at GA

I have read and voted, and left reviews for most.

I think I have been rather more... truthful? Though some people might say harsh, in my reviews. Not knowing who the author is gives an interesting freedom in that respect. I've always wanted to leave reviews which are more "review" and less "commenting".

There are some good stories there.

If they write reviews for all the other stories. the authors should leave reviews on their own too, because otherwise it's too easy to guess. I did it in the two contests last year.

My main problem with guessing is I edited two of the stories, so I shouldn't guess on those. Or at least, it doesn't count, if I do.

I, for one, apperciate an honest review very much. It's difficult to learn otherwise. Some pointers to where a writer can improve is good. And even though you say harsh, I don't think you'd ever cross the line into being mean or hurtful on purpose. If someone doesn't want to listen, they don't have to. But as a lawyer, I've spent 20+ years having my texts dissected and criticized, so I'm almost completely at ease with that. Not everyone is.

The anonymity makes it more difficult for me, though. If I don't know the writer, I can't know if this a newbie taking their first wobbly steps into writing or if it's a more seasoned author (who may have been a bit sloppy with this particular story...). I feel more at ease to review if I know the person on the other end can handle it. Or if I at least have reason to think so. Not always the case, as I've discovered once or twice... LOL

You're halfway there, AC. That's an excellent start if you ask me. :)

You can always leave a 'kind' chapter review now and go back and write a 'critical' story review, when you know who you're whipping into shape.

Very shrewd! And I'm not really any authority on writing. I have opinions though. Anyone interested can always get a complete and honest review.
