I'd like to thank all of the authors who participated in the April Fool's Short Story Contest! There were a lot of great entries and I'm sure it was hard to choose who to vote for. Thank you everyone who voted for your favorite story and a big Thank You to Reader1810 for collecting the votes. Stories will be properly attributed to the correct authors very soon. CONGRATULATIONS VAL, AC, PARKER, AND PUPPI!!!!! Wow, a three-way tie! When has that happened before?

 

Now, Parker's story is the one I thought was his, but I thought he must have collaborated with AC on it because there was so much detail about SF. I guess I was only half wrong there. :lol:

 

I guessed Puppi wrote Served Cold, and I already knew Val and Addy's stories, but the others were a mystery. I would have never thought Cole wrote Fool's Gold, so you certainly fooled me there! :)

 

I loved all the stories, and it was really difficult to pick just one to vote for.

 

Thank you, Renee, for bringing us these hella awesome contests, and thank you, Reader, for counting the votes. :) And I totally love the colorful banners! They actually remind me of very round Easter eggs! :gikkle:

Wow... last time I was here there was a first, second, and third! Awesome. Congrats to all four winners!!!  Great job of organizing and supporting, as always, Renee. Thank you! And thank you to Reader! Great job all round :)

Congratulations Winners! All amazing stories.. I would have only guessed 2 correctly and authors I guessed weren't even on the list!

FYI: I have added all authors to their stories, but there is still a glitch that makes it so I can't remove "Anonymous Jester" as an author.

You're not the only one, Lisa. Nobody guessed Cole wrote Fool's Gold - or at least they didn't say so in the guessing game. I guessed on jfalkon. :*)

I missed the voting by a couple of days. Hey it was my birthday and stuff!

 

But... as much as I enjoyed all the stories, I chose Downhearted too.  Even if I didn't actually vote.

 

Big congrats to Val, and thanks everybody else who contributed a story.  Reading these was a lot of fun.

 

I must say, when I read Fool Me Once, I said to myself "A middle aged math teacher speaking about an article he wrote?  This has Parker written all over it."  :D

*hint hint* yes it would... the biggest problem is figuring a deadline so that it doesn't hinder participating in the fall anthology.
