Weekly Wrap Up (Nov. 2 - Nov. 8)

Is it cold in your neck of the woods 🥶

I heard it was getting below zero (32F) in southern parts of the US of A 😮 In November! I imagine I'm going to hear from our Florida contingent that it is getting down to 70F in the evenings :gikkle:

So an interesting week has come to a close. Scratch that, it wasn't an interesting week. It was kind of the 2nd week of November blah week. Now if it was your birthday, then I missed the bright, shiney happiness of the week! You should have included me to lift me up.

Oh, maybe it is the just the time/week of the year 😮

Question of the week: Have you participated in using the new Mood function yet? I"ve only had 2 so far :gikkle: Constipated 💩 and Cheeky :P I think I like Cheeky better

Oh, before I forget, I know a lot of countries around the world have a celebration on Tuesday the 11th. Remembrance Day in Canada, Veteran's Day in the US, also known as Armistice Day in the UK. So I implore all of you to think of those currently serving, or have served in the past, living or gone forever, and give a moments of reflection at 11th hour on the 11th day.

Maybe there is a second question of the week. My grandfather served in WWII, by great uncle was a Sgt. Major in WWII and toured the concentration camps in Europe :( My dad was in the military, army like his dad and uncle, never saw active warfare but served in the UN peaceforce back in Cypress, and the Sinai Peninsula (Egypt/Israel), then a few tours, at the time West Germany, where I was born :D, as part of the NATO Force. I'm not looking for political statements here, but just a deep recognition of people who have put their lives on the line for all of us. No matter what side. So tell us about a person you know that served their country with honour :)

Now onto the Wrap Up :D

Cia started the week off with the CSR Feature of Month. November :P :

Then Myr was up with a Deep Dive looking at General Fiction:

Thursday, was a big day! Val wrapped up the ever so successful yearly anthology. 23 stories, ,way to go Authors!!!

We have to thank Myr for all 7 Words of the Day for the week:

xenolith, xylophone, xiphoid, xenogenesis, xenial, libidinous, avuncular

Here in Georgia, tomorrow is supposed to have a high of 39 degrees (3.9 C) and a low of 26 degree (-3.3 C).  I guess I'll finally have to turn on the heat, at least temporarily.  😞

Our Veterans Day (old Armistice Day) is Nov. 11th, the date when the armistice was signed ending World War 1, at 11:00 a.m. on 11/11/1918.  If your great uncle was a Sgt. Major in WW2, he must have been a career military man.  Impressive!

I'm really glad I was in Toronto last weekend, since today we're getting dumped on with lake effect snow

I've updated my mood several times

My grandpa was in the Signal Corps in WW II.  I have several uncles who served in Vietnam and Korea.  My cousin was in the Army until a drunk driver t- boned him on his motorcycle.  He was lucky to have survived   Thank you to all who have served in honor of their country

It seems Steve knows it is November despite labeling as "Oct. 2-Oct. 8".

Give him a break!  He was half frozen and hungover when he typed that.  🍺  😜
