So like, seriously going through withdrawal here. It's probably been only a few days, but it seems like weeks.

I just realized that it's been approaching three weeks and I still hadn't posted in this thread! LOL, so lest Dom is waiting to release chapter 21 until hears my comments here goes

 

I wonder when Travis kisses Dennis if Dennis could taste Owen's fruit punch. Hmmm... three way! *grins evily*

Hmm, well that does sound hot, but it still kinda creeps me out! Dennis and Owen together (especially physically) seems really wrong!

Was Aiden even at the party? I didnt see his name mentioned. I so wanna see (or read, rather) his reaction when he sees (or hears about) Owen kissing Travis.

Hmm, my guess is that if he saw Owen kiss Travis he and Dennis will decide to let bygones be bygones for the sake of winning back the men they love, and as a result start going at it like rabbits under the nearest table so as to make Owen and Travis jealous.

 

I just hope that Dennis doesn't break Travis' heart considering Dennis thinks what he's doing with Travis is 'just sex'.

Personally I think Travis is just as likely more likely to break Dennis' heart than vice versa. I think they're both likely to live through any break up/split just fine though.

 

I don't really have anything to add to the discussion. I just noticed that I needed one more post to hit 500 and I figured since my first post was in Dom's forum, it should also be the recipient of such a milestone as my 500th.

Someone other than Owen [Lacy] from the old crowd has finally seen the new Dennis. Will she influence the opinions of others?

I'm not sure I agree with the observation that Lacy is the only one to have noticed. I think Ryan definitely has too. I think it's even debatable that Ben's noticed a change.

 

I'm hoping at some stage we learn something interesting about Kyle. In the first chapter, I think it was, we get a very detailed description of how Kyle thinks and cares for his possesions. That doesn't seem to have really been built on as yet. OK, he does rock up at the hospital to pay the bill, but IMO that is what a very good and close friend is more likely to do than just someone who is friendly with people or part of the hangers on of the clique.

Actually, I was just thinking that that part seems very much out of character for Kyle (though I agree that we don't know that much about him). I mean in the first chapter in his interaction with his fish he seems to be painted as someone who worries but tries to let the objects of his worry conduct their own affairs (I.E. he didn't break up the potentially deadly fish fight). HOWEVER, in pretty much every chapter we've seen him in since then (especially the paying the bill chapter) he's instead seemed very intent on interfering with Travis' affairs.

 

 

Aiden's only played a very minor role in this story. When he does appear, he comes across as an insensitive blockhead. That irks me somewhat. I would guess that those of us supporting Aiden and Owen's relationship are still living "The Log Way". It works for me, that's for sure.

It doesn't seem to me that the Aiden I remember from TLW has appeared in the story at all. Is there something he has said or done in this one that would suggest that he's the guy from the other story other than the name and a presumed past with Owen?

I guess Aiden does seem different to me as well. However, I'm less bothered by this seeming inconsistency. My theory would be that if Aiden is being more immature, selfish, and all around blockheaded, it's not so unexpected. I mean he was basically forced to "grow up fast" and take care of his alcoholic mother, plus handle all the other issues in his life. Now that that's sort of been taken care of he has the luxury of acting more like the kid he may not have gotten the chance to be before.

 

Apart from that people don't always progress. There's a lot of truth to the one step forward, two backward saying. Especially at this phase in people's lives.

 

So Allan is dead?!

I didn't really think so. I mean who's to say Travis was being completely honest? Personally my initial reaction was that he probably wasn't.

 

Has anyone figured out what Travis is trying to accomplish by supporting his former foster mom? He's not making a lot of sense there.

My theory is that he still just really wants her approval, and still cares about what she thinks. I think this is also hinted at if not out-right said in the story as well. I agree that it doesn't make much sense to me from my perspective, and I personally can't see myself feeling that way in his situation either, but people unceasingly seeking the approval of people in their past who mistreated them seems to be a common enough thing that I'm not really surprised by it.

Did you guys know that on the chapter index page for the story it says when the page was last updated (and thus when the most recent chapter was added) right at the bottom?

 

I used to...well still do, use this as a quick way of telling me whether or not there's a new chapter when I look at the index. (I often forget exactly which chapter number I last read, but I'll know about when it should have happened).

Just registerd and had to post a message. I've been out of town for a couple of weeks and had limited access to the net. I was hoping 21 would be up by now I know dom has a new bf and I'm very happy for him and I know this is his busy time, but I really can't wait much longer for a 21, especially after the way 20 ended :wacko:

And while we may be getting antsy and the shakes for not getting any lately, at least Dom is getting some .

I most assuredly wouldn't have thought you shallow, since coincidentally last week I, myself, just dropped QUITE a bit of money on my hair and eyebrows as well. LOL, it took four people (two colour-specialists, a stylist, and an eyebrow specialist) three hours, and it probably cost more than most people - certainly guys - spend in in a year on their hair, but I must say I'm thoroughly pleased with the results.

I can't use tweezers. It hurts too much (yeah I'm a pussy, so sue me). And the last time I made some 'alterations' myself, I ended up spending nearly double to have the blonde-turned-purple fixed
