Tiger Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Exactly. Yeah, Brad found his life partner at 17, but it is pretty rare, and to be honest, I don't really see Matt settling down at eighteen years old. That goes against his personality, as well as against his socioeconomic background- most people delay marriage and family if they are of high socioeconomic status until they're in their late twenties. Going with that, Matt would be settling down about NOW, but not back in 1998. I agree. Also, if he finds it easier than telling his adoptive parents that he's gay (so that he can keep his trust fund), he might even have a marriage of convenience like JP did. Also, Brad defied his socioeconomic status with his relationship with Robbie. Sure, he was born to a woman who probably did not have much money, but he grew up mostly with JP, Isadore, et al.
Mark Arbour Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 I agree. Also, Brad defied his socioeconomic status with his relationship with Robbie. Sure, he was born to a woman who probably did not have much money, but he grew up mostly with JP, Isadore, et al. Brad's mom wasn't poor, although I never really disclosed her background. But the fact that he was a Schluter (by adoption) assured him of a place at the top of the Claremont socio-economic hierarchy, which of course was transplanted to California. Robbie came from a decidedly upper-middle-class family, albeit with serious white-trash roots. I suspect that if they had both been living in Claremont and Robbie had been a girl, Brad's family would have been barely OK with the match. Not ecstatic, but barely OK.
Tiger Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I guess I'd mistaken her for who daughter (who had squandered her money). My mistake.
Rad Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Wow Cody and Matt eh? Eventho I kinda got confused... With their "not-really" relationship BTW I was smiling when Brad told Matt that Robbie was on cloud nine since he knows that he's got a son. Not just a son tho. Handsome, athletic, nice & gay I guess apples never fall too far from the trees Oh, I'm kinda disappointed with how Brian turned out to be. He was such a nice guy and all from If It Fits Can we go back to the nice Brian? I'm still dreading the news from Laramie...

Brian had a bit part in "If it Fits," while he's much more front and center in this one. I'm with you on Laramie. I've written the draft and I'm glad to be done with it.
Mark Arbour Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 I plan to have chapter 14 up sometime today. Here's my favorite piece of dialog from the story for a teaser. Don't read it if you hate spoilers.
Tiger Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 I couldn't resist. I read the spoiler. I want to read the chapter... NOW!
Mark Arbour Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 I couldn't resist. I read the spoiler. I want to read the chapter... NOW! It's not really that big of a spoiler, it doesn't reveal any plot issues, but I didn't want to piss anyone off (more than usual).
paya Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 It's not really that big of a spoiler, it doesn't reveal any plot issues, but I didn't want to piss anyone off (more than usual). well we're not angry with you we wouldn't be for any spoiler not even that one of the length of a chapter
Conner Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 That wasn't a spoiler. That was a teaser! Good humour, anyways. So Brian is planning on being a pain in the ass. His days are numbered if he keeps that up. While it works out better storywise to have the hockey jocks stay at Escorial, that's pretty shoddy treatment by Stanford to have a pre-school camp with no food and lodging. Jack's a hoot!
Enric Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 ch14: well well. Matt is learning how to start a harem... and, every and each of them was voluntary to come to the nest of this.
Enric Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Jack's a hoot! chronology, as it goes, means that Jack is already 'Uncle Jack'
Tiger Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 (edited) So Brian is planning on being a pain in the ass. His days are numbered if he keeps that up. As I said elsewhere, I think he and Matt need to have a good angry f**k to ease the tension. Mark! Bryan needs Matt's cock... not a threesome this time, just one-on-one, not gently but animalistically. Edited October 3, 2009 by Tiger

Well, it was optional, or so they say. Some schools actually do this, but I'm not sure if Stanford is one of them. The deal with Stanford hockey is that it's only a club team, so it's not like their football program which is part of the athletic department.
rjo Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 In the last chapter of Bloodlines (14) I find a number of very interesting things. The first one is a comment about Brad. Brad has always been one of my favorate people. In fact today is his birthday.( October 4) Back to the point Brad's reaction to Matt and Matt's need for a kidney. Mark you.ve talked about JP growing I see Brad growing a lot into a good person. I think the pride is much less and it is replaced with love and trust. Of all people Brad should be or could be threated by Matt. Not in the leist Matt is part of Brad's family totally competly no reservations. In so many ways I am proud of Brad. He has come a very long way. The second thing is JP's reaction to Matt and Brian. You would think that JP would be closer to Brian. After all Brian is his half brother. Why Matt? Two reasons come to mind one is JP and Matt come form the same place. Not just Ohio but social standing family background and more. The second maybe more hidden. Jeff. The Hayes connection. Matt is part of Jeff's family another chance for JP and right an old wrong. Matt is JP back in the 60's. JP wants to help Matt grow and to avoid the problems JP had along the way. JP was never really the iceman not deep down inside. Mark the great thing is that you have created these people and through this saga woven into their lives something we all are looking for family. Not the 1950's Father Knows best family but people who care about each other enough to risk all. That's who JP is, Brad, and maybe Matt too. Thanks again I think what may have started out as just a story has become much more. 1

Tiger Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Brian needs it???? Or you ???? Well, I'll read the chapter for sure.

I think that's wrong, and that people can grow and change. You see my philosophy ingrained in these character and their lives.
Tiger Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Yes. Good answer... so you agree that Brian needs it. And of course, all the readers (including myself) would love it.
Enric Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Yes. Mark, I think your ambiguous reply, is not going to be comprehended by such people who are careless readers, uncritical, and prone to follow their own wishful thinking...
Mark Arbour Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 Mark, I think your ambiguous reply, is not going to be comprehended by such people who are careless readers, uncritical, and prone to follow their own wishful thinking... Not at all. Brian definitely needs it, and Tiger always does.
Enric Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Not at all. Brian definitely needs it, and Tiger always does. after a lot of vicissitudes in these posts, I try to catch what it actually is what Tiger needs. I gather that Tiger reported: "need to have a good angry f**k to ease the tension. ...needs Matt's cock... just one-on-one, not gently but animalistically." so, the need seems to be: angry series of anal penetrations, big 'rooster', one-on-one, animalistically, not gently, to ease tension - and, well, that's a recipe - a recipe a sworn bottom presents. absolutely. well, Mark, you will -literally- have your hands full. Heavily full. As someone needs, and it also requires stamina. btw, how about a mechanic equipment to be developed for that purpose ? a machine which keeps some needy bottoms satisfied. which provides staminaed angry f**ks. voluminous demand will forthcome from fat, or ugly, or aged bottoms.
Mark Arbour Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 A mechanical top? I'm sorry, but visions of what that might actually look like have me sitting here laughing my ass off. I guess they have such a thing (vibrators, no?) but for a whole body experience...don't know about that. You could probably modify a mechanical bull. Nevermind. I think I'll head over to the Master and Commander threat and talk about rats some more.
Enric Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 A mechanical top? :lmao: :lmao: I'm sorry, but visions of what that might actually look like have me sitting here laughing my ass off. I guess they have such a thing (vibrators, no?) but for a whole body experience...don't know about that. You could probably modify a mechanical bull. Nevermind. I think I'll head over to the Master and Commander threat and talk about rats some more. you are heartily welcome to roflol.... This is just because of my altruistic tendencies.... kindness towards bottoms Iirc, Tiger published a fact that he is mostly a bottom. I was simply thinking about the needs (because, needs were the topic of the talk initiated by Tiger) of fat, or ugly, or aged bottoms. It is well known that such bottoms are not popular among real-life tops..... to the extent that such bottoms actually are pretty deprived of sex. I have heard about vibrators and dildoes those described bottoms of course often use such. my vision about the helping equipmt for those bottoms is something like a drilling machine.... whole-body machine, if such could be developed ------ btw, please! no sex with rats. pretty please.
