OMG SOOOOOO INTENSE!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it!

I'm glad you did! We're going to post Millennium 38 later in the week, then the next two will be Chapters 36 and 37 of this story.

What a fantastic chapter! First pissing on Mann's Mizen and then rubbing his nose in it. Just for starters. But the battle was incredible and well played. I don't understand how the "spring" worked to move the ship. I understand the effect of having the ship anchored and applying the movement but how did the spring work exactly?

It was a brilliant tactical move on his part. I suspect this will really get Mann's goat. Surely Granger and his crew will be rewarded.

Sad about the 5 lost and the 14 wounded. I hope Winkler is not among them. And Mr. Robey!

Now, what of the prize? And will there be more when they take possession of the plunder in port? Are there any ships left?

Can you imagine Mann's reaction when he finds out that Granger and his little toy cruiser took out 32 ships? They will question his honor on such a fantastic tale.

If I was Granger, I would order steak for all hands as he makes for port.

Well done Mark. A most fantastic chapter.

Now, THIS is what I came here for. High seas adventure in the extreme.

Now, what awaits him in port, a prize or a battery of misery?

And what of Mr. Robey? A reminder of the fact that it takes both the rain and the sunshine to make something as beautiful as a rainbow.

That was an excellent chapter!! :worship::worship:

The scene with Mann was just exquisite, thoroughly enjoyable. :2thumbs: Like a "spotted toad", indeed! Sir John will laugh harder and louder than them all when he hears the story. He could well send Mann packing back to England, spots and all. :funny:

I thought Granger's goose was cooked there for a moment. Thanks to Somers, Granger will have to make good on 30+ guineas to his gun crews. That was really an incredible battle. Granger will be a legend in his own time.

Alas, poor Mr. Robey. :( Splinters suck.

We haven't even reached Oran as yet!

An amazing chapter! I think one of the best you've written, certainly one of the more exciting! If Granger doesn't get a knighthood after this one, I give up!!

I really enjoy this story and your writing skills. Quite frankly I don't know how you manage it. :2thumbs:

A truly great chapter... The battle was great and the scene with Mann was wonderfuly written and so pitch perfect... I can't wait till we see what happens in Oran. I wonder if the Bey or Oran has a maie harem? Can you imagine the trouble Granger could get up to in a male harem? ? ? ?

I do hope that Robey is okay, I don't think Travers would be very happy with something happening to him while he was under Granger's command...

For the love of God, post the new chapter soon....

Chapter 36 was great, another chapter full of action... While I do like the strategy and fighting in this story, I find the personal interaction is really well done. The give and take and flow of the story is just remarkable.

:pickaxe: :pickaxe: :pickaxe: I do hope that Granger doesn't get too cocky but he seems to be working this new adventure for all it is worth. Glad that Chilton is getting in on the action, and although I hope Robey is okay, glad Chilton might move up as well... Great to see that Granger is letting some of the crew take the lead, this is truly the sign of a great leader...

Can't wait for the next chapter.....

Yes, another excellent chapter!! :worship::worship:

I liked the way Granger's crew wanted to put him in a bubble....to keep him safe. Followed by shades of Captain Picard frrom Star Trek telling his No. 1 to shove off and leave him alone. :2thumbs: Loved it!

Hang in there, Mr. Robey! :2hands:

I loved Star Trek TNG. Who knew a bald man could be that sexy?

George continues to develop the leadership potential in his men. At the rate that he is going, in a few years he will have so much loyalty accrued around the royal navy officers that he will be seen as almost walking on water. Yet, the guy is human and gets nervous when he has put it all out there and taken a big risk.

I also love the humor. "I am not a doll."

"I know that from personal experience." or something like that.

The story with its turns and the characters as well as how you write it is excellent. This could hold my attention even without the sex!:worship: However, I find no fault at all with what you are doing along that line.:2thumbs:

Great job, professor!

Excellent chapter Mark. Pulled a muscle in my back. Be back to check on 37. Right now, horizontal. No choice.

CH 37 was delightful and there remains hope yet for Mr. Roby! Not that you are dragging his fate out but you wouldn't have him not make it after the old wench brought forth her magic elixir.

And what do you think Carlos will have to wash first? Personally I think it will be Winkler. lol And where is Ranger? He has faded into the woodwork.

A brilliant chapter Mark. Well done. Granger will certainly make points over this one. His tactics in beating the "fleet" of Xebets may even bare his name. "The Granger Maneuver" Certainly never before has such a feat been accomplished by a single ship especially one that isn't even a ship of the line! I mean a 48 gunnar maybe but the Belvidiera?

And the Ruby and gold will cinch the deal, not to mention delivering the Spanish, the Italians and the Maltese. He now has three nations to be honored in. And this for Spain should get him knighted.

As always, brilliantly written and believable Mark. Thank you and please, never let him find a final port. :worship:

so Granger has a toy!!! the multilingual Carlos.

jeez Mark :worship: all you do is play with our fantasies, but you do it soooooo well. I'm in lust:devil:

All that said, I get the feeling that at some point in the future Grainger's luck is going to run out, or at least partially run out and it's going to take all the talents of his wonderful wife and political contacts to save him......

I have to say that Chapter 37 was great... I loved how Granger handled the situation in Oran and was able to extract all he did from the Bey. The ruby will make a handsome present for the King, if the Crown Prince doesn't sell it off to pay off his debts...

I am not sure that Winkler will quite appreciate Carlos but after all, Granger rescued him at one point as well. Someone that speaks all of those languages would be a welcome addition to any ship at that time.

I do think that Robey will survive now as well, after all why introduce the old woman and the magic elixer if not to save him.

Keep up the great work and can't wait for the next chapter...

I thoroughly enjoyed that chapter!! :2thumbs::2thumbs:

Thank gawd that the MCA wasn't around in those days. (The MCA - Medicines Control Agency - Britain's equivalent of the US FDA.) It would have declared the elixer to be an uapproved new drug and seized it immediately - no doubt asking for 8 years of controlled clinical testing befrore releasing it. That wouldn't have been good for Mr. Robey. :(

There are several plant materials that have a bactericidal effect in humans. :boy:

Granger's "business" trips are getting more profitable all the time. :D

A giant ruby with a curse given to the Kings of England? Sounds like a whole new story to me.

Another grand chapter. Obviously Granger has to do the two brothers together. I can hear him now, "Put up your Dukes!"

Of course that will be after Granger buys him some custom tailored clothes and tastes him a few more times.

Well done Mark. And just wait until he gets home. With the sinking of 33 "anythings" would get him special recognition sinking 33 of the Spaniards enemies ships should prevent a war with England. At least until someone screws things up. that would be someone like Mann or Wilcox.

Loving it sir. we still needs a lad to kiss the gunnar's daughter. It's the only way the caronades get properly polished. After all clifton is up and you are down a couple of midshipmen are you not? :2thumbs::worship:

Really enjoyed the latest chapter, I think this story just gets better and better. Granger does seem to have a talent for meeting and helping those in positions of power or connected to a position of power. This is something that will always serve him well. His instincts are excellent. Although, Spain and Britian will soon be at war because of those damn French, LOL, I have to think that Granger will get a good welcome in Spain no matter what... I know this story because of the historical factors involved is harder and more time consuming to write but I treasure each and every chapter and look forward to the next.

B) B) B) B) B) Staying cool and collected til the next one... Keep up the great work Mark....
