"If She Knew What She Wants" by The Bangles -At the formal society function, where Brad makes his introductions with Wade's family, and notices David Carmichael. 500 Miles Instrumental http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WFAeJncaag I used to be a catering server, so I know exactly the type of music they play at these kind of functions. "1999" by Prince http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSqYAbBFhzc -When the guys look at the fireworks, and think about their loved ones who did not live to see the New Millenium. "Da Crossroads" by Bone Thugs N Harmony Quite possibly the best R&B/hip-hop ballad that came out of the 1990's, in my opinon. I thought about using this one for Matthew Shepherd, but it didn't work for me. I think this song works so much better for this scene.

methodwriter85 Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 If there's a club scene or a party scene, I try to add club songs in. Did you not see my Chemical Brothers selection for the New Year's chapter?
PrivateTim Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VJk2EghzeI&feature=related There are lots of parties they go to, especially the Hollywood ones and they are great songs to drive to and great songs for surfing scenes.
methodwriter85 Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 (edited) And like I just said, I try to add in club songs when they have club/party scenes. Edited December 10, 2010 by methodwriter85

Tommy_B Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Chapter 49 -When Brad gets the news Lark committed suicide and reads his note...only...it's not really true. J-man, you so need a new hobby like 10 of the last 12 posts are all you talking to yourself..
methodwriter85 Posted December 17, 2010 Author Posted December 17, 2010 I just post the music selections. Don't really expect a conversation unless someone is moved by the music. I miss Tiger. He used to comment on my music slections a lot. I have the official title of music director on Mark's writing team. Mark used to do the music selections, but he found that it was keeping the chapters from going up faster. I took over for him starting with Be Rad.
B1ue Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Chapter 40 -When Brad, Jeanine, and Robbie have a threesome. "Venus" by Shocking Blue I want you to know I finally cracked and bought this version of the song. I'd heard this one before, but the combination of the video linked and this new connotation made me buy it. That and comparing this to the Bananarama version...she blows them away.
methodwriter85 Posted December 26, 2010 Author Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) That's really cool, Blue. You hit on the reason why I get such a kick out of doing this- I like introducing music to younger people who weren't around when those songs came out, and I like reminding older people of the songs from their youth. Of course, when next story comes around and I'm back to having the songs being primarily contemporary, we'll be the older people, and Tommy will be the younger person. LOL. "The Better Life" by 3 Doors Down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGjuz-Ak3OE -When Brad relates to Robbie what happened with Wade and Matt, with Brad and Robbie finally settling their issues. I hope. Dear GOD, I hope. "Babylon" by David Grey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PP-f8TDb2n4&feature=related I knew when I started this scoring this story that "Babylon" was going in. Without a doubt, I knew it was going in. That song hits at the soul of this story, I think. "Babylon" is one of my favorite songs from the 2000's.
