ive been looking through facebook lately and noticed a friend of mine never puts a status in her own words. it's always a quote! that, of course, got me thinking. i have alot of quotes that i love. (mostly from movies etc) but i don't ever share them! i was wondering if anyone else collects quotes? then i decided i would make a topic and let GA collect a few.

here are some of mine:

The Crow

it can't rain all the time

buildings burn, people die, but true love is forever.

victims, aren't we all?

Red State

even the nazi's this guy is nuckin futs!

Voltaire

every man is guilty of all the good he didn't do

Mean Girls

Grool. I wanted to say cool but started to say great.

Star Wars

Wonderful girl. Either I'm going to kill her or I'm beginning to like her.

Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?

One thing's for sure, we're all gonna be a lot thinner.

Rent

You always said how lucky you were that we were all friends. But it was us, baby, who were the lucky ones.

...and then there was the time he walked up to this group of tourists and they were petrified because A they were obviously lost, and B had probably never spoken to a drag queen before in their lives... and he... she just offered to escort them out of Alphabet City... and then she let them take a picture with her and then she said she'd help 'em find the Circle Line...

There will always be women in rubber flirting with me...

You should try it in heels.

ok thats all from me for now. throw some of YOUR favs into the fray!

It's like you read my mind, I was just thinking about this last night :) Soo...

because I just saw it, Thor: "This mortal form grows weak! I require sustenance!"

from Good Will Hunting: "Maybe we could go out for coffee sometime?" "Great, or maybe we could go somewhere and just eat a bunch of caramels."

Oceans 11: "You suicidal?" "Only in the morning."

hehe and: "Does he make you laugh?" "He doesn't make me cry."

and I like basically any quotes from Meet Joe Black :)

My Fav quote is "An error doesnt become a mistake until you refuse to correct it" -Orlando A. Battista. And although that isnt from a movie I think it is pretty cool.

My favourtie movie quote is " Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

Just cause I didnt know there were that many words that started with V.

My four favorite quotes, displayed on my Facebook page.

"You have enemies? Good. It means you stood up for something in your life." -Winston Churchill

"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle, victorious" -Vince Lombardi

"Live Free Or Die" -New Hampshire Motto

"We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail" - George W. Bush

Here's a knee slapper:

"For some it is a choice since homosexuality isn't just a sexual preference, it's a lifestyle that dictates what you believe, what you wear, what your tastes are, and countless other things. It's like being goth or something, and nobody's ever claimed that people are born goth." -Unattributed

I don't really have a favorite quote really but I've always kinda liked this one from Serenity

"People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesom."

If the heart has no tears the soul has no rainbows.... someone I used to know said it a lot, I have no idea where she got it from

Favourite quote from a film... But there are some things I know for certain: always throw spilt salt over your left shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for luck, and fall in love whenever you can... Practical Magic

Favourite quote from a book ..Granny Weatherwax, who had walked nightly without fear in the bandit-haunted forests of the mountains all her life in the certain knowledge that the darkness held nothing more terrible than she was... Witches Abroad Terry Pratchett.

"Blessings be upon this house," said Granny Weatherwax. In much the same tone of voice have people said, 'Eat hot lead, Kincaid.' Lords and Ladies by Terry Pratchett

Yeah... Terry Pratchett is my favourite author and Granny Weatherwax my favourite character.
