It is very obvious that Luke likes Rory and from the earlier chapters, it is also apparent that rory does have a strong attraction and lust towards Luke. But, in the midst of the chap, it was stated that rory thought luke wasn't interested in him at all, at least not in that kind of way. That's why i think rory has developed a mindset that nothing further could possibly happen between them, thus decided that luke can only be his best friend.

i'm quite sure that everything will change once luke expresses his feelings to rory.

And because Rory has this mindset, Luke thinks that Rory isn't interested in him. That's why their kiss wasn't romantic at all, because neither of them thought it could be. I'm actually glad they're in the best friend category right now. It'll make their relationship that much better because it's founded on such a strong friendship.

It seems to me that Eddie and Jase must have (at some point after Rory was out to them) discussed the possibility of Rory and Luke getting romantically involved. I wonder what they concluded. My sense would be that neither of them would view that as a great idea - at least not given their current living arrangements.

 

I agree that Luke is really crushing out on Rory. I have a sense that he might have discussed those feelings with Jase. I think Jase has discouraged him from pursuing it. That would explain Jase repeatedly telling Rory that he would be happy to drive him to the bowling alley to meet Seth and Angela.

 

Just thought I muddy the waters a little more.

I haven't posted in a long time, but I do want to weigh in on the Luke/Rory debate. I really think that they should end up together, and I think that very soon one or the other of them will say enough and tell the other how they REALLY feel. At least that's what I'm rooting for. But I will willingly go where ever Dom takes us!!!

Great idea or not they should have realized that there was little that they could do about it. Think about it. What could they do that wouldn't make for a very tense unhappy house and maybe drive Rory back to grandma.

Well if Luke doesn't like Rory, then it has to be Dave... The reason I say this is for one simple fact. He bends over backwards for that guy and now he has to take a brake from having to hear him talk about how great someone else is while Luke would be thinking in his head. I hate this how comes I feel this way for a s8t guy who will never like me that way back.

 

Ok, that could have come out a lot better but I'm not in the mood to take about this in great detail.

 

So in the end it's either Rory or Dave I feel Luke likes. I'm just uncertain as to which way I think it is.

Maybe it is Dave. That seems more probable right now. Especially when I think about how Luke acted once they were at the bowling alley. And, when Luke got that call from Dave, he practically ran out of the door.

 

And truthfully, guys, I don't really see how Luke has acted outwardly jealous towards Seth or Rory. He's even done as much as to egg the two on. "Just enjoying the view." He's trying to bring Seth and Rory together, the more I think about it. I'm really putting my foot in by mouth, but I think Dave might be who Luke is after.

 

I never really gave the whole Dave thing any serious thought, but I'm really starting to think Luke and Angela might talk about it sometimes. Luke might just be mildly upset that Seth and Angela are not, in fact, a couple. It would make things less complicated if Dave knew Angela was taken.

 

Dom's written about a gay character that have huge crush on their straight best friend (Owen & Nicky), so this isn't too far out there. However, Owen found Aiden -- who's Luke going to find?

I've got codiene, horse tranqs, every Tylenol ever invented and a closet full of medications many of which are not in english.

those are all fun and all but it gets better when you add in pam(valium) to that list. diazepam,lorazepam,clonazepam,etc and maybe some antidepressants such as serequel or prozac. then add some painkiller such as percodan or percocet or vicodin or darvocet and wash it all down with straight southern comfort and you will be in a comfort zone like none else--for more than 1 day even lol try it sometime it;s fun

Okay, thanks for this. I actually made a break to go off and get some CDs just in the middle so that it would last a little longer.

 

The way I see it, Rory and Seth are not going to end up together. There are way to many references to Rory feeling like Aaron must have felt for it to end up somewhere good. I think Rory just has to figure out that for himself, too. Probably will end up in a long conversation with Seth somewhere a long the way, telling him he's sorry for leading him on, etc etc.

 

And also, how obvious is it that it's Rory that Luke likes?

First: being in a crappy mood after seeing Seth and Rory flirting wildly.

 

Second: the comment about the same crappy mood: "There's some stuff I haven't really been dealing with and it sort of crept up and bit me in the ass today." The bad mood came after seeing Rory and Seth in the pool, so that's probably what's biting him in the ass.

 

Third: The "there's a lot to like about you" comment

 

Fourth: The disappointment in his voice when Rory was going to go bowling

 

Fifth: The "third wheel" comment. Okay, I admit this could mean nothing, but then again, it could mean something. Aw, crap, never mind this one.

 

And ultimately: When Rory says he wanted Seth to kiss him so that he could say that he kissed someone else than Aaron, Luke kissed Rory, thus eliminating THAT reason to kiss Seth. Would he have done that if he didn't mind Rory being with Seth? Top that up with the comment "In my experience, when someone wants to kiss you, they usually kiss you", followed a while later by Luke kissing Rory.

 

Well, waddaya say to that?
