During the times when it mattered, I didn't need a gaydar because of this nifty little thing called Grindr. :P Being in a relationship now, it doesn't much matter.

Since i am straight and married 30+ yrs, and don't care who a friend choses to bring to their bed as long as they treat each other well, i haven't really any need of gaydar

I think whatever gaydar i had broke down and went to have a rest long rest when i enrolled in art school in Brighton, typical conversation:

Me: wow that's beautiful....

Friend: oh hell yes....

me: i that a guy or a girl?

Friend: don't care....

Since I'm in a long term relationship and not on the prowl, I haven't had to need a gaydar in a while. (But when I was younger it was accurate about 50-50%) :P Now, to make it easier I just assume that everyone is gay!

I just assume it's nobody else's business.

If I were back on the prowl, though, I'd assume the same thing. Hey, gay or straight, you can still get turned down. And since attitudes have changed so much, you're less likely to get the crap kicked out of you for asking a straight guy out for a beer now.

Besides, I know a lot of folks who define their sexuality by who they're in bed with right now. Today, a guy, tomorrow, two girls and a burro.
