SolarMaxx Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Most of us instinctively know this to be true, but recent research has shown that owners of dolls don't realise the full extent of the risks they are taking. Just to be clear, not all dolls are evil. Not at all. But the problem is that some of them are. How so? Well dolls become evil when they are possessed. The fact is your much loved doll might be absolutely fine today, and completely safe, but it could become possessed next week. Or tonight. Here's an example of an evil doll. You can tell it's evil by the eyes. And by the way they open when it sits up ... this one too ... and this one I don't wish to be alarmist but if you have a doll it's probably best not to keep it in your bedroom. Certainly not while you're asleep. In fact, just in case it gets possessed during the night and decides to attack you while you're asleep, it would be sensible to keep it locked up in a metal box. And wear the key on a bracelet or necklace so it can't use poltergeist powers to retrieve the key and get out. And make quite sure the box hasn't got any gaps or eyeholes. Obviously you want to be able to get to sleep at night. Without worrying that it might be watching you. So that's it really. Dolls are quite safe - as long as they're not possessed and are always securely locked up at night. Sleep tight. Still not convinced? OK here's some independently-verified-guaranteed-gospel-truth third party testimonies you might like to read just before you curl up and go to sleep tonight http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/scary-stories/articles/110451/title/true-creepy-doll-story http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20121223214929AAB6AUU ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edit to add: thanks Sly for mentioning the Chucky series of documentary movies I KNEW IT!! 1
Zombie Posted November 10, 2015 Author Posted November 10, 2015 regular readers of this thread will know that it is an essential information resource about dolls And the dangers they pose to you and your loved ones. Because the truth is, not everyone has seen the Chucky series of real-life documentaries that showed how things can quickly get out of hand when families fail to take sensible precautions. So, thanks to this thread, regular readers are now aware of the significant threats to their safety when dolls become evil and / or possessed (and remember, innocent looking dolls can become evil or possessed at any time - that includes when you are asleep). On reflection, I am not convinced that there is any material difference between evil and possessed dolls. No-one has ever shown me a doll that is evil but not possessed, or possessed but not evil. So I think we can safely say that all evil dolls are possessed, and all possessed dolls are evil. But there's something I haven't really covered. If you have a doll what should you do to protect yourself and your loved ones?As ever, the Google is your friend Some preliminary research shows that "how to kill a possessed doll" is a popular question - which proves that evil/possessed dolls are everywhere and are a real problem. So here are the Top Five tips:1. "kill it - before it kills you"2. "do not run away, or lock yourself in a room, because you will only provoke it"3. "get rid of any knives, forks, machetes, saw blades, axes, or blow torches that you may have in the surrounding area"4. "burn it"5. "Don’t forget to scream, because your life may depend on it."If you follow all the advice in this thread you and your loved ones will be able to sleep well - and safely - tonight 4

Zombie Posted November 2, 2019 Author Posted November 2, 2019 “The dolls in the History Center of Olmsted County's collection have been let out for Halloween and these miniature terrors are vying to be named creepiest doll in Olmsted County.” (MPR News, October 23, 2019) Well, of course, Halloween’s over for another year. So no need to click on the link. Just sit back and relax in your La-Z-Boy recliner. Absolutely no need to click on the link https://www.mprnews.org/story/2019/10/23/whos-the-creepiest-of-them-all 2 1
Slytherin Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Ahhhhh !!! No I did not click on the link *goes out on balcony searching for something in a green dress* 2
Zombie Posted November 10, 2019 Author Posted November 10, 2019 “Fake news” is a hot topic at the moment. So regular readers will be grateful to have this thread as an information resource of absolutely true factual information, with the sole objective of informing and educating GA members on the risks of doll ownership. Especially at this seasonal time when our thoughts turn once again to suitable Christmas presents for little ones, so we can hear their screams of joy - not screams of terror. Recently the Smithsonian, America’s premier national museum group, turned its attention to what it terms “creepy dolls”. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/history-creepy-dolls-180955916/ The Smithsonian was founded in 1846 “for the increase and diffusion of knowledge” by a gift of 104,960 gold sovereigns (worth around $12m today) from British scientist, James Smithson, on his death. Knowledge means things that are known - in other words FACTS. The Smithsonian article is indeed an interesting read but it does contain some factual errors - or “fake news”. For example, according to the Smithsonian: “This doll's set-back, sleepy eyes invite the perception of evil”. Now this is obviously not true. This dolls eyes do not “invite the perception of evil” - they ARE evil. Later on, the article states: “Dolls don’t have the ability to mimic (although they do seem to have the ability to make eye contact)...” Again this is wrong. Dolls don’t “seem to” have the ability, they DO have the ability to make eye contact. Take another look at the previous post about the Olmsted County Collection and the video clip of that doll in the green dress as it sits up and its eyes snap open. That’s right - it’s looking straight at you. Right into your soul. The Smithsonian article includes an interview with film director John Leonetti confirming this: “”If you look at a doll in its eyes, it just stares. That’s creepy. They’re hollow inside. That space needs to be filled.” With evil.” So there we have it. More definitive proof. Sceptical? Well let’s consider another example on the Smithsonian webpage. Here are some dolls being manufactured at a factory in Leicester, England, in 1948: As you can see, although the doll heads ARE creepy, unsettling and disturbing, there is no immediate sense of danger. But flash forward 70 years and this is what they look like now: You don’t need to be an expert in possessed dolls to see what’s happened. These dolls are no longer just “creepy”, they have become PURE EVIL. Still not convinced? Well ask yourself this simple question: Would you put these dolls on your bedside table? Watching you when you switch off the light? Thanks for reading. Sleep well. And sweet dreams 2
Zombie Posted May 14, 2020 Author Posted May 14, 2020 Has America lost its senses??? THIS from today’s Independent: Restaurants use mannequins and blow-up dolls to help with social distancing As lockdown restrictions are eased in some states, restaurants are coming up with unique ways in which to enforce social distancing while maintaining the impression of being busy. Some are turning to artificial patrons in what may be one new aspect of dining out in the 2020s that no one saw coming. Described as being both “whimsical” and “creepy”, these are not the hosts from Westworld. The Inn at Little Washington in Virginia has decided to seat well-dressed mannequins at tables they are unable to use in order to comply with new state regulations. The mannequins will be seated alongside human diners https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/coronavirus-lockdown-mannequins-dolls-restaurant-a9514806.html For those of you who missed it, let me repeat what was just said: The mannequins will be seated alongside human diners For god’s sake, has no-one in America seen what these mannequins can do?!?! 4 1
JayR Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 I've always been a bit scared of any dolls to be honest 😐 some of them really seem to be quite evil 1
Zombie Posted May 20, 2020 Author Posted May 20, 2020 2 hours ago, JayR said: I've always been a bit scared of any dolls to be honest 😐 some of them really seem to be quite evil I do hope you’ve carefully studied this information resource, which is intended to provide essential awareness in a purely factual and non-sensational way because, yes, you’re right - “some of them really seem to be quite evil” but they’re not the dangerous ones... and you can’t tell which is which until it’s too late... 1 1
