Popular Post methodwriter85 Posted January 18, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2015 The Dover, Delaware police posted a video of one of their own lipsynching to "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift, and it went viral with close to 7 million views.I knew there was a reason I didn't hate Dover cops when I went college in that town. LOL. It's going viral because there's something funny about a big, burly middle-aged bald cop bopping along to Taylor Swift. It's nice to have a viral video featuring Delaware, especially considering that it's got 7 million views, which is more than 7 times the amount of people that actually reside in this tiny little state. 6
Mann Ramblings Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 the best moments are when he pauses to wave traffic along and then as soon as they pass, the head bounce breaks out. LOL 4
Daddydavek Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I posted a link to it yesterday in the thread Song of the moment. I came across it in an article on US TODAY. https://www.gayauthors.org/forums/topic/31634-song-of-the-moment/page-36#entry498134 I thought it was really cool. 2

That's where I saw it for the first time. Played it for my daughter--twice, and now she keeps pulling up the youtube video on her phone too! When he stops singing to wave at passing traffic is my favorite part too, the breaking out back into song afterwards is hilarious! I think it's what makes the video even funnier.
faxity Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 It's always fun to see people who can have fun with their jobs, especially policemen that being said, someone needs to report that as police brutality, 'cause he's totally killing those moves 2
Robert Rex Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Fax, I was gonna give the cop props for his moves--he's strapped into a moving car, utility belt loaded down (including gun and personal radio), he's focused on his driving, and STILL manages to do ok. Need to get him into some Saturday Night Fever clothes, turn him loose..and then see if he qualifies for 'Dancing with the Stars"! 2

PBax Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) Oh my god, I so want to take a road trip with this guy! Edit: Okay, so I just read that this was staged. Either way, this guy clearly knows how to relax and have fun. Still having a grin fest. Edited January 21, 2015 by PBax
Daddydavek Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 He was on the Today show and here is a link to the article and the video on that site: http://www.today.com/popculture/shake-it-cop-gives-carson-daly-tips-being-sassy-singing-2D80438440 A follow-up news article on Yahoo can be found at this link: http://news.yahoo.com/shake-it-off-cop-sings-taylor-swift-interview-160552850.html
Lisa Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 When he stops singing to let the people go and he nods to them and then goes right back to it, w/o missing a beat. And he knows all the words! And it's hysterical when he's doing all the facial movements and hand gestures when he gets to the talking part of the song. I'd like to see him outside of the car, dancing to this for real.
