Popular Post JamesSavik Posted July 8, 2015 Popular Post Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) GayAuthors is a GLOBAL web site. There are people here from everywhere, except for Antarctica. Who knows- we might even have a penguin or two. We literally have people from New York and New Delhi. Philly and the Philippines. Mississippi and Manitoba. Alberta and Albuquerque. I could go on but my onomatopoeia/geography skills only go so far. It would be an absolute miracle if we didn't have any culture clashes. I know that I've been guilty of that myself from time to time. Anyone that has been here for a while has seen me mellow out from a hot-headed red-neck to... just a red neck. Please practice tolerance. I know it's easy to get mad and fly off the handle. Goodness knows I'm as guilty of that as the next guy. We've got a pretty special community here. It's another not-so-small miracle that we get along as well as we do. Young, old, whatever race, whatever country- we all have a lot more in common than we have differences. There are more than enough people that will go out of their way to be unkind to us. It benefits us all to be good to each other. Look past those differences because we need that community. For many isolated GLBTi people in unfriendly places, it is their lifeline. It is their view of a larger more inclusive world. Edited July 8, 2015 by jamessavik 23
Bill W Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 A good message, James. We run into enough bigots and haters that we don't need to bring it or allow it in here. Personally, I think it's fun and interesting to chat with others from around the globe and see how they think, feel and live. I hope no one would attack anyone in this community just because they might be a little different. 3
Ashi Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Yo! Darned if I know where he'll fit. Okay the nerd in me will try to theorize. Frontal lobe is in charge of critical thinking. Temporal lobe for hearing. Occipital for vision, and parietal... I don't quite remember, but probably some motor skill (but that one is spread out on the perimeter of the brain from frontal to occipital). Cerebellum the small brain, is in charge of balance, and spinal cord for reflex and the super highway of nerves to transfer sensual messages to the brain to process. So where does the bear fit in? (*points*) There. 1
Site Moderator Reader1810 Posted July 9, 2015 Site Moderator Posted July 9, 2015 panda, grizzly, care, Pooky, black, brown, Huggie, kodiak, papa, mama and baby - like people they are all unique in their own ways. In the end, despite ther different size, sex, shape, colour or age they are all bears. I love this site because it transcends those differences. GA not only allows but encourages, members to share their thoughts and ideas (like the many awesome stories which are too numerous to count). 2
