Back in '10 I wrote a story that got me back on the road of writing regularly and it's a story I'm exceptionally proud of. It's a 'long short' story and, if you haven't, I hope you'll take a chance on reading it because it's one of the ones I'm most proud of.

You can find it here The Meaning of Living

It's on my list of stories to read.  Hopefully I'll have time this weekend.  :)

He has promised me he will, if I stop distracting him.

It is a wonderful story that I first read years ago and a number of times since then.  There is a phrase (you'll know it when you read it) in this story that is truly powerful.

So, if you can't read it this weekend, please put it at the top of your list.

I'm sure I have read this story before. Perhaps on your website (because I've been reading all your stories on 'Dabeagle'). It still does not mean that I won't read it again. Thanks for the post! :)

I can see why you're so proud of this story, Beagle.  I generally have to take a few breaks when I read a story this long, but I read it all in one shot.  The story really pulled me in and left me in tears at the end.  Nice job.  I think this will be one I'll read again, and I don't generally re-read stories.
