Popular Post Thorn Wilde Posted November 21, 2015 Popular Post Posted November 21, 2015 I figure it's time to explain my absence a little. Depression is a really shitty thing. It makes it harder to do anything at all, let alone be creative, and the medication that's supposed to help you do stuff is just as likely to cut off your creativity as well, so finding balance has been hard. Thing is, I'm actually doing a lot better now, and I have actually been writing, but I've promised myself not to begin posting any original works online until they're finished, because I don't want another Lavender and Gold. I don't want to put any of my stories on hiatus ever again. It sucks, for me and for you. All summer I worked hard on two novels, to the point where the rough draft for the detective story I've mentioned in the past is nearly finished. But then disaster struck in September. Magpie broke up with me, which basically threw my life into chaos as I had to move out. Finding a new place to live when you're sick and have no real income is pretty tough, and that cut off my creative juices as well. I can't live without writing, though, so I turned to fanfiction during this difficult time. I've been posting a Deadpool/Spider-Man fic to AO3, and have decided to post it here as well, so I'll be uploading a chapter every other day or so, in case anyone's into that. I've found a place to live together with my friend Edd, and am just about able to make things work with money and stuff. We've got two beautiful kittens, and things are looking up for me. Hopefully I'll be able to return to writing my original works before too long. In the meantime, know that I've not abandoned GA, nor have I abandoned any of the on-going stories I've got here. I just need to get my life back together so I can give them the attention that Ben and Mark, Dave and Nick, my vikings and my detectives deserve. 7
