I'll always remember her crying scenes on the Dick Van Dyke Show.  They were epic.  RIP MTM!

The longer one lives, the more one has to remember. The  danger is, in not getting lost in that past. She was one of my favorites and I will miss her.

I loved The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Mary Tyler Moore Show, but she was also wonderful showing her serious side in Ordinary People.  She was a true icon.

RIP MTM  :(

The MTM Show was, along with All in the Family, one of the first programs to show a Gay character. CBS went from rural-themed sitcoms to sophisticated, ground-breaking TV. A golden era that changed American culture.

If you haven't seen Oscar-winning "Ordinary People" (1980), you should. Mary is outstanding in her role and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role (in my opinion, she had more of a supporting role, and would have won the Oscar had she campaigned in that category). You won't regret it, it's one of the best pictures ever made.

Mary Tyler Moore died today. She was best known for her roles on The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Love her in her only Oscar nominated role in "Ordinary People" (1980).
