Wow, Guys! I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everyone who has sent me a message or email about Days of Silence. I got such a response, I'm amazed still, but I really do appreciate the time you all took to write me some small note and let me know what you thought. It means so much to me.

To answer some questions I have been asked...

Yes, I'm a girl :P and yes I know you love me in spite of it 0:)

As for the other major question... it may or may not be the plan to continue the story as a series

Super thanks to Davey, Eric, and Joey! As usual for all their help, I love you guys!

Hey Viv! :D

I LOVED your entry! In fact I'm working on putting together my comments and thoughts on all the stories and posting them here. You guys did such a wonderful job you definitely deserve the feedback! Yours was the first one I read and it was the one that made me decide to try this "day of Silence" thing! Anyway I really need to get on that writing about my thoughts on the stories thing. Your story was so teriffic and moving :D

All the best

Excellent, excellent piece of storytelling. :D

Though I agree with RHawes that the ending would have worked had Lucas walked, I'm so glad he didn't!

Props on the use of the title too.

This story was so sweet.... :worship::worship::worship:

Viv, you've got it going on. The way you painted the scenes in the story was awesome, and the whole thing with Justin and Lucas just sitting there in silence watching eachother was great :worship: You've got game, girl

This story was really good. I read most of the pieces in the Anthology, and this one just completely stood out. I found it intriguing, especially, because of Lucas. Really amazing character. I could see this becoming a good series, and I'd definitely be reading it. Good job!

Once again I was swept away in a sea of emotions as I empathized with the pain and confusion Lucas must have gone through. I felt so sorry for him, always trying to change who he was, desperately looking for the

Viv!

Great story! too bad it took me this long to find it 0:)

I especially liked your use of visuals from the skateboard to the birthday cake with its black and red decoration.

You hinted at a continuation...

If there is I'll read it, then again I think Id read anything you offered up!

Well, I have read and reread this story a few times. I have told Viv what I thought about, but thought I should make an entry here anyway.

When I read this story I feel so many things. I feel Lukes hurt and anger that stems from rejection, his lonelyness that caused him to keep everyone at arms length so he wouldn't get hurt again. The anger and confusion that came when Justin tried to reconnect.

Justin's acceptance that he is gay, and his overwhelming guilt that became stronger with that acceptance. How his hopes and his heart hang on whether he can repair all the dammage he has done, knowing that his chances are slim to none that Luke will even acknowledge him, much less love him back.

The ending was just too good. This was the best of the day of silence anthology stories, and one of my top 10 favorite stories. I can't say enough about how good I think it is. :worship:

Thanks Viv.

Ex.

I hope you write the sequel, it just seems that Luke and Justins story has more that needs to be said.

It's been a while since you've posted this story. However, I have just read it. I can quite honestly say that this is probably one of the sweetest things I've ever read. Left me feeling all tingly inside, and content. I love it

Hey Vivian,

I just want to say hello, and let you know I just finished reading this story... again... for like the 100th time. No joke too.

There is a clear reason you won the award for best Spring Anthology for 2006 and top Anthology for 2006. Everyone really should be reading this story, regardless who they are.

I can't say enough, on how much you were able to put into such a short story.

Congrats Vivian, you really out did yourself.

Bardeara,

PS. When is the sequel coming?!?

Apart from FBTE (which is undoubtedly my fav. story :D ), this is one story that endeared me to your writings so much.

Remember what I told you when I complimented about the story a few months back... the song thing. Well, if you have forgotten about it, I think it would be good to keep my mouth shut for a few more weeks :P

Tay and I read this story last year, long long time ago. It made us cry then, as it made us cry again tonight. This is by far a timeless story of true love between 2 young boys who finally find the courage to confront each other. Gods. We just love it.

What a wonderful story that pulls you in and makes you feel anticipation as it leads you through anger, regret, self acceptance and forgiveness. I was so relieved when Luke stayed and did not walk away even after 4 years of what most would feel was an irrevocably damaged relationship. This is one story that I will be reading several more times.

I recently re-read this story ... as I said in my post for FBTE, the way you're able to bring out the emotions here makes it great.

The scenes at the end, with Justin bringing out the blanket and everything for Lucas's birthday...that's one of the most touching scenes I've ever read. I really felt for both of them as they struggled with the pain and hurt they were feeling over their time apart.
