The door knocker does seem a little weird, considering they’re usually metal.

I don't know if Canada and/or Toronto has it, but it sounds like someone called Code Enforcement on the building. One person can call about an issue the building management won't take care of, and they will tag everything including that issue. At least that's what they do here. In a residential area, if they are called out for one house, they'll tag the whole block. "You have 30 days to comply or face a cumulative fine for each day past the grace period.

That may be so for apartment buildings, but with condos, you have to deal with the Property Manager. Currently, there’s a renter breaking the rules in my building and this has been going on since June. He/she has been ignoring notices from the PM and the owner of the unit. The PM told me she’ll bring this up with the building’s condo board come January (there’s a process to go through). The PM - she’s new since October, and the previous PM did crap all to solve the problem - said the board can decide to pursue this further lawyer time which means spending money - or let it go. I’m hoping they go the lawyer route...

They have a bunch of stuff on the balcony that’s not allowed to be there (patio type furnishings/plants are all that is allowed) that goes way above the top of the railing, so it’s very visible. and looks like crap

Have to admit though, it’s not as bad as the building next to me where someone has a clothesline hanging across the balcony.  What’s weird about that is the laundry was hung out on a very, very cold day. I would think it froze rather than dried. :P

Think I've sobered up enough for bed now. Never liked going to bed tipsy, I never feel like I can sleep properly... Tomorrow is the great Christmas shopping day, cause I've been putting it off. All of the gifts must be purchased! Goodnight everybody!

With various Holidays and celebrations behind us ... we now face Christmas. A beautiful time for many, a sad and lonely time also for many. So while we enjoy what we do, remember to share a little (hehe @MacGreg Sir got his cool reindeer 'dancing' hat by sharing). Give what you are able but remember, receiving is also part of charity. Smile at people ... trust me, just being noticed and acknowledged as a person, means a lot. And so i leave you all with this today:

frenetic Audio pronunciation

adjective | frih-NET-ik

Definition

:
marked by excitement, disorder, or anxiety-driven activity : frenzied, frantic

When life gets frenetic, things can seem absolutely insane—at least that seems to be what folks in the Middle Ages thought. Frenetik, in Middle English, meant "insane." When the word no longer denoted stark raving madness, it conjured up fanatical zealots. Today, its seriousness has been downgraded to something more akin to "hectic." But if you trace frenetic back through Anglo-French and Latin, you'll find that it comes from Greek phrenitis, a term describing an inflammation of the brain. Phren, the Greek word for "mind," is a root you will recognize in schizophrenic. As for frenzied and frantic, they're not only synonyms of frenetic but relatives as well. Frantic comes from frenetik, and frenzied traces back to phrenitis.

Morning all.

I tried to set an advance deadline too tim,  but as usual it didn't work out well.  My life is now getting a bit frenetic as I try to catch up.
