Question? I know Sears closed because they were going bankrupt due to Amazon and Online sales. Why did the others close down? 2

Why did the others close down? zellers wasnt profitable or so they said, leased buildings to Target who were open for a year before leaving.. yeah thanks for that!!! but they sucked up here big time. there was literally nothing on the shelves. simpsons closed a long time ago.. cant remember why, but before my time. and eatons closed because after the Senior Eaton passed on, the son just did a shyte job and ran it into the ground. They were open 130 years. 2

As for Simpsons, my mom worked at one until they “closed” which is a euphemism for they turned into a Bay store after being bought out by that company. Have to admit, in irs later years, I only ever bought gloves at Eaton’s before it closed - thought the buyers for the clothes they sold brought in crap stuff. The Bay has brought them back, but the Simpson’s Christmas windows at the Yonge and Queen store were amazing. Went there every year when my family came into the city for my yearly doctor’sappointments. It was a real treat. Edited November 10, 2018 by Reader1810 1 1
Brayon Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Another late night of studying. Coming to a happy end. Two things about the Calm, I've learned tonight. 1. It tastes better cold. 2. Don't drink it after eating a Lindor's Chocolate Truffle. YUCK! 2 1
mollyhousemouse Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 and we're home i think that this thing tonight was one of my favorite parenting experiences at halftime all the parents lined up at one end of the field, after the band did the school song, the seniors were dismissed to find their escorts, there was a mix of different family types, the stadium announcer announced the senior's name and who they were escorted by and they were given a small bouquet with a red rose and some baby's breath then we had our pictures taken Number Two gave me his flower and a kiss on the cheek it was all very, very cool 2 3

Everything $10. Sounds like an upscale Dollar Tree. The closest stores I lived near, when I lived with the roomies, was Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Dollar General, and a Beall's Outlet. 2
